Biting off more than I can chew?

Well hello there,

Names Jacen, if you couldn't gather that.

I just joined tonight, but I have been looking over the site for a few weeks. Wow, there is a lot to this site, bit overwhelming. Anyways, figured I'd give my hand at Star Wars Roleplay. Can't say I know much about Star Wars, saw all the movies and loved them. Watched Clone Wars...most of it...I think. Even played the Kotor games and some Old Republic, but I assume many here will outclass my knowledge.

So I know it is probably popular to make a good guy go bad, bad guy go good, good guy with a bad streak or something of that nature. I want to try something that could seem boring, maybe I don't know, I am rambling as it is quite late.

My idea is to make the perfect Jedi, flaws of course, but one who truly strives to be the best Jedi he can be and doesn't turn in the end. (Unless story dictates it.) While combat and lightsabers play a big role in what I want to make, I would like to focus him more on being a strategist, a leader of sorts. Like Jedi version of Tarkin if you will.

Well that is all I have so far, also I am quite tired. I do look forward to meeting all of you and writing with you.

Nothing wrong with aiming for your character to be the Jedi's Jedi. The strategic side of things isn't something I see tackled often, at least not effectively. Overall, sounds like a great idea. Welcome aboard

Oh, oh! I used to write with one such Jedi! Good luck if you do go through with that, I'm horrible at writing good characters (in the sense of light side vs dark side).
