- Turned to Sushi: Composed of lethally sharp monofilament wire; the Bizen Monofilament Screen Guard will cause instant, skin-breaking cuts to any unarmored or otherwise unshielded biological tissue that even slightly touches it. The more forceful the touch, the deeper the cut. In the unfortunate (or fortunate, for the owner) event that an unarmored, or insufficiently armored individual runs into the Guard, they will be cut into several finely divided pieces.
- Hard to See: An incredibly deadly combination when paired with the lethality of the wire itself, their immense thinness makes it quite difficult for even those who are paying attention to their surroundings to notice it. Of course this advantage decreases in effectiveness the closer one gets to the Guard, by the time a would-be intruder notices the wire in-front of them, it might already be too late.
- Easy to Cut Through: Extremely sharp, and incredibly thin, the monofilament wire that makes up the Bizen Screen Guard is nevertheless quite easy to cut through if one knows where it is, and has the tools with them necessary for cutting. In thick or dense enough quantities, the wire material itself would be difficult to cut through, but a trade-off for how hard to notice the wire is; is its overall textile strength.
The Bizen Monofilament Screen Guard; sometimes known as the Bizen or the Monofilament Fence is a form of perimeter security and anti-intrusion device developed by Nakaioma Home Security, a subdivision of Nakaioma Security Services; itself a subsidiary corporation of Nakaioma Defense Dynamics. Made up of anywhere from tens, to hundreds, to thousands of incredibly thin monofilament wires, this highly adaptable form of perimeter security can be installed into any variety of locations, and in any length required by the customer. Built into walls, ceilings or floors, it can also be hidden in natural environments, making it a far more lethal threat to those who would attempt to break into unauthorized locations. Relatively simple to design and manufacture, as well as boasting a somewhat low cost of production, the Bizen Screen Guard has seen extensive use in private residences, corporate properties, and government buildings alike, and has been installed into many NAKAIOMA-affiliated facilities.
