SPECIAL FEATURES
Thermal Weapon
Rugged and reliable
Cone of energy
BBQ - the Bkaua fires a cone of thermal energy at the user’s target that reaches extreme high heat temperatures capable of cooking targets in their armor at close ranges. Temperatures generated by the weapon are exceptionally high which allows the pistol to superheat, melt, or even outright burn through various armor types.
Stay Down - a side effect of the thermal discharge is the sudden and forceful knockdown the wall of superheated air generates. Targets that survive are often sent to the floor or staggering away from the discharged blast.
Like a Thousand Burning Suns - The weapon has seen good results on standard armor types, but has seen mixed results against more exotic materials. Damage to targets protected by such varies depending on range, material type, target density, etc.
You and Your Buddy - the weapon fires in a conical manner with the blast of thermal energy, making the weapon ideal for close ranges and lethal crowd control.
Dispersal - while effective in range to most short range pistol equivalents, the Bkaua does have a drawback. The heat blast, while extreme in temperature and possessing a decent area of effect, loses intensity the further from the weapon the blast carries. This means that the shot is the most powerful nearly point blank and loses strength the further from the user the blast carries until it disperses completely.
Not Hot Enough? - While the Bkaua fared well in testing, variable effectiveness was seen in tests against rare materials. Damage potential in such tests depended upon various factors such as range, material, target density, etc.
Hot Contraband - the Bkaua caused quite a stir when revealed before quickly earning itself a nasty, lingering reputation. As a result, ost sectors of the Galaxy have banned the weapon making it entirely illegal to own. To carry a Bkaua is to invite unwanted and potentially dangerous attention from authorities and undesirables alike. As such, the weapon is primarily utilized by the criminal underworld, collectors, and those that operate beyond “civilized" borders.
With the need for more current lethal weaponry rising, Tenloss determined to answer the call as it enters its new era of production. The result for a powerful, unique, and dangerous sidearm was the Bkaua.
Designed as a thermal energy weapon, the Bkaua lives up to it's name. Capable of firing a cone of intense heat intended to cook targets alive in their armor, the pistol easily earns its rightful place in the Tenloss armory. The weapon is relatively short ranged and fires a conical blast of extremely high temperatures at the target. Each blast is capable of superheating, melting, or outright burning through targeted material. Even if it doesn't burn through the target's armor, the wall of superheated air can send surviving targets to the ground or staggering away. Sadly energy dispersal renders weapon weak at longer ranges, but at close range the Bkaua is truly lethal. Against non-standard, exotic materials, the Bkaua has shown variable effectiveness depending on basic factors such as range, material, target density, etc. Unfortunately, the weapon was quickly restricted in most sectors of the Galaxy soon after it's reveal. As such the weapon is highly illegal throughout civilized space. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, the weapon found a use within the galactic underworld, among collectors, and with those that seldom trek from lawless stars.
