Accessibility: Isolated from Society. The exact location is a closely-guarded secret, and The Family guards this information violently. An approaching ship which does not transmit the proper clearance will be immediately attacked.
Traffic: Low - The station’s location is a closely guarded secret, and access is restricted only to those with the proper clearance.
Description: Black Oak Shadowport is one of The Family’s closest-guarded secrets; their “home away from home”. Significant upgrades have been applied; the Station is heavily armed and well-concealed near a small asteroid belt in the depths of the Kathol Outback. Travel between nearby worlds is relatively fast, and a major shipping lane is easily accessible from Kal’Shebbol - any attempt to track or follow ships approaching the area is easy to identify, due to the low traffic throughout the sector.

Reactor Room & Maintenance Tunnels: The Station utilizes an extremely efficient power-source: an Antimatter Reactor designed by HPI which produces near-unlimited power for all systems. Maintenance tunnels run throughout this area, providing access to the station’s critical systems. These areas are cramped & dark.
Medical Bay: Equipped with the finest medical technology and well-stocked for any eventuality. The Medical Bay should have a Doctor present on-site, but is capable of dealing with most medical emergencies without one.

Hydroponics Facility: All manner of plants both harmful & harmless are grown in a dedicated area near the Medical Wing. A dedicated team of Scientists employed by The Family manage these operations around the clock (and are well-compensated).
Hanger Complex: The Station possesses three separate Hangers; two for larger ships and one for corvettes & frigates. Much of the docking & off-loading procedures are automated, minimizing the personnel required. Enough hanger space is provided for up to one squadron of fighters.
Crew Quarters: Visitors to the Station often receive small single-occupant rooms on either a temporary or permanent basis. These rooms are equipped with all the basic amenities one could hope for. The station is equipped with enough private housing to garrison 500 Sentients.
Armory: The Family maintains a significant store of weapons & equipment in a highly secure area. Access is granted only by direct hard-key identification; most visitors to the Station cannot access this area.

Warehouse: The Family utilizes the warehouse complex to store goods of all types & legalities, tracking every detail to properly catalogue and maintain accountability of their stock. Much of the items stored here are slated for transport; often, goods are smuggled to & from the Station to parts unknown. A separate area houses supplies for the Station itself.

Command Center: Utilized not only to direct traffic within & around the Station, the Command Center is the hub for Family operations across the Galaxy. A dedicated staff of Communications specialists, Security Personnel, Netrunners, and Intelligence Analysts are on-hand at any time, filtering through the Holo-net and its darker constituents for anything which may be useful; much of The Family’s intelligence is based here, and filtered out to the Organization’s highest echelons. Access to this area is completely off-limits except to staff (who have been with the Organization for a very long time) or to The Family’s highest ranking members. Those without full membership to the Family may not enter unless escorted.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Black Oak Shadowport was developed as part of The Family’s “Contingency Protocol” - a haven for the Syndicate’s highest echelons, a meeting place, and a redoubt from-which a select, chosen few from their number may retreat to when all other safe havens have been lost. A wealth of credits were spent in its creation; to date, it is the largest endeavor The Family has undertaken and accomplished, and as such, it is one of their greatest assets.
