DESCRIPTION
Founded almost five millennia ago, the Black Sun evolved from separate gangs on a single planet into a galaxy spanning criminal enterprise. Several times in it's history the organization was brought to it's knees and nearly completely eradicated, yet while the head may have been removed the body continued until another head regrew.
The most recent incarnation of the Black Sun that soanned the Galaxy was devastated by the Gulag plague as they trafficked in the cure as well as the disease. Several occasions saw the syndicate seeding planets with the disease for ease of pillaging. One such endeavor proved to be the unravelling as not only the UnderLord, but all nine lieutenants were infected and died.
Once more the body continued through the motions, many aspects of the syndicate losing it's identity as Black Sun, as they waited for another head to take it's place.
Now was the time.
Moving into the power vacuum that had existed since the plague, William earned a reputation as being hard but fair, devious yet loyal, cunning yet caring. But above all else he proved his ruthlessness and willing for bloodshed which earned him the moniker, 'William the Bloody'.
Now the Black Has risen from the eclipse that had hid it's power and authority. Now a new Dawn rises for the Sun.
Entering into this new era, William decided that the organization needed to go in a more legitimate direction while still retaining the aspects that made it great. Smuggling and trafficking in illegal goods we're called profiteering. Piracy, thievery, and the sort was called asset liquidation relocation. Spying, blackmail, corporate espionage and more was called intelligence brokering. While these three distinct areas served the crime Syndicate intimately, they also offered their services to the Galaxy .... For a fee.
The Black Sun was here to stay.

RATIONALE
William was a devious child. Growing up he felt that he was ostracized because he didn't have pureblood. So in order to compensate for a delinquency that didn't truly exist, except for in his mind, he began to act out. An action that would grow less benign over time.
By the time he was in his mid teens he left his planet and his people behind to travel the galaxy and learn more of what made the universe tick. Very quickly his opinions we're reaffirmed that in order to do anything in the Galaxy, you must yield power. And not just any power, but power to take, power to give, and power to destroy.
Keeping with this ideal he joined several crime syndicates to work himself into positions of power and authority. Finally, after years, he has used his own shadowy influence and contacts to create his own empire, one built on a foundation established long ago. The Black Sun.
