DESCRIPTION
Ensconced in Chi’s ship the Che’s Boutique, Ji-Ji’s abilities to help in her day-to-day affairs are limited without a physical presence. To overcome this, the two designed him a droid body he can remote into and control. Ideally it was so he could take over menial tasks not suited to the other bots on the ship or to assist with assembling projects and running Chi’s fabricators. However after a pirate attack by Rhys Swynol demonstrated how dangerous the galaxy often is, the two decided to also have him act as a bodyguard for Chi. They increased his armoring and capabilities to that of a top-line combat droid while also giving him strategies on bodyguarding, hostage rescue, martial arts, gunmanship, and offensive piloting skills.

Constructed with a blend of artificial musculature over a motorized frame of more traditional droid design; Ji-Ji can achieve a high degree of fluidity and precision in motion with a speed few other droids can exhibit and on par with the best of martial artists. And given his construction with the same high-end armor materials that Chi has used before, he has exceptional endurance in a fight.

While operating the droid, Ji-Ji maintains an encrypted subspace link between it and his mind on Che’s Boutique. If the link is severed, a small copy of him is left behind. It will make its own decisions and attempt its most recent task, and while still intelligent, lacks the majority of its shipboard processing power. If he detects a hack on his datastream, Ji-Ji has all of his native cyber security defenses as an ECSAI. If he decides he can’t successfully defend himself, he may voluntarily shut off the link and use his local host until security can be assured.

Chi used an Atrisian-esque style to blend Ji-Ji’s armor and ‘clothing’ together to minimize the visual impact of his plating, hiding much of it behind the flex-armor and spider silk outer layers. They also worked to make his form aesthetically pleasing to society by obfuscating his mechanical nature to the point that he’s been mistaken as an organic guard wearing a ceremonial outfit.
