THE MANDALORIAN ENCLAVE INVASION OF GALACTIC ALLIANCE-HELD YAG'DHUL, KIFFU, THYFERRA AND UKATIS

OOC THREAD

Enough was enough…

The Galactic Alliance and their Jedi counterparts have been warned to stay away from the Enclave's reclamation of old territories, but they didn't listen...

Now alliances will come to an end.

Ryloth had been the final nail in the coffin for the Enclave's friendship with the Galactic Alliance. Now, a new message will be given - Total War. Enclave has had enough of their interference and have declared war on their one-time allies.

They would have to reflect on their actions.

A major operation had been planned and was now being executed in full force. True to Mandalorian custom, the assault was unconventional, multi-pronged. The Enclave attacked their old allies with precision and with a single purpose - hit them where it would hurt and give enough warning to stay out of Enclave business for good or suffer a worse fate. Economically significant planets along the Rimma Trade Route and the Corellian Trade Spine were targeted by the Enclave to drive the point home.

The attack had come like a thief in the night, but it came hard. Once the Alliance realised what happened, however, they defended their territory with vehemence and have drawn out the fight for days now…

Suggested for Groundpounders and Duels

Yag'Dhul…

A dense, barren planet full of a species instrumental to the economy of the Alliance - the Givin.

In theory, the attack should have been swift. But Dodecapolis, the capital city of Yag'Dhul, was better fortified than originally anticipated.

The siege has been ongoing for days and once again, the dreaded night on the dense planet was falling, throwing everything into an ominous darkness within the vacuum outside the dome.

By now, however, Enclave has realised that the dark made some things easier…

Following a directive coming from Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla himself, launch a renewed assault on the city in the dead of night in order to take it and interrupt any economical aid as well as trade from the planet. The headquarters to the shipyards are also within the city - which could hold key information - get to it.

Or meet the Mandalorians on the battlefield to stem the oncoming assault if you dare to brave the vacuum.

But all should be wary of things going bump in the night…

blackoutobj2.png

Suggested for Special Forces and Duels

Kiffu…

A lightning planet on the Trade Routes with a great amount of energy.

A more recent and much more covert assault than the one on Yag'Dhul, this one didn't take too long to breach city defences and dominate it.

Enclave had then managed to cut the power to the city by sabotaging the power generators of its grid.

Now, in the dark city, the Mando'ade could start heading toward their main objectives - both the main energy storage facility as well as the trading headquarters and cripple them.

But the Alliance and NJO had learned of the Enclave's presence on the world and their arrival was swift.

Beat them to the designated areas in the dark, urban jungle and finish what we came here to do. The directive to this covert group had been clear - no quarter.

Or intercept the Mandalorians on the way to their goals and make sure they don't complete the objectives of disrupting the economy.

But other forces are also at work that could hamper both sides…

blackoutobj3.png

Suggested for Fleeters and Boarders/Duels

Thyferra…

One more key planet in the Enclave's sights.

The main Enclave fleet was en route to the Bacta planet in order to blockade and seize it and its economical importance.

But in a stroke of brilliance, the Alliance fleet managed to intercept the Enclave within No Man's Land just before they could reach their destination.

Dispense of the enemy fleet in order to make a jump toward the planet - there are few things more important.

Or eviscerate the Enclave fleet and make sure they can't do more harm within Alliance space. Too many worlds were already under assault. Don't let them add one more.

But everyone should keep an eye on the sky…

blackoutobj4.png

Suggested for Duels

Ukatis…

An agricultural and wealthy planet

Wealth and food that could fund the Reclamation effort and destabilise the Alliance some more. What is more, according to Enclave Intelligence, the world held significance to some Jedi, which could add impact to the invasion. Toppling the capital city would be a significant step in the right direction…

It was a swift and silent attack from the Enclave, dropping silently from the night air into the city. It would have been successful without a hitch…

…had it not been for a traitor.

The SIA had received an anonymous tip of the raid and the Alliance and NJO appeared on the scene far too quickly.

Get them out of the way and complete the now-compromised objective of destroying the seat of power. Whoever the traitor was, could be investigated later.

Or stop the few Mando'ade that had infiltrated before they can do real harm to innocent people on the planet.

DEAD MAN'S GUN

Ryloth...

The victory on the desert planet had come at a great cost and with great emotional turmoil.

Vren had already been torn in two about attacking the Twi'leks' homeworld. They had a longstanding alliance with the world, but that had come to an end when the Enclave Guildmaster had to give the death notifications to two of his Karjrs' families. Had to see the devastation on the faces of one of those murdered Karjr's children.

That had driven him to Ryloth, where the next gut punch awaited him in Tawnita Wren Tawnita Wren 's sudden return after she ripped out his heart 20 years prior. They were yet to speak.

But that wasn't the thing that hit the veteran the hardest.

Baby's call on the comms had seen Vren completely lose it while hanging in orbit on Nag. Numerous Alliance starfighters had to pay for it with their lives. The call that would haunt the Guildmaster for a long time...

Shai Maji Shai Maji was killed in battle.

A Rallymaster of the Enclave had fought her last fight. A comrade-in-arms.

An age-old friend.

It had hit Kranak Vizsla Kranak Vizsla equally hard. They had both been hesitant before to move against their old allies and friends in the Jedi, but after losing Shai the way they had, had pushed the two men to lead the assault on both the Alliance and the Jedi...

://: Corporate sector isn't too far ahead, but some Alliance forces had just arrived. We'll need to hurry. ://: Nag said as her gigantic, shadowy form touched down in the street from the night sky.
"Thanks, Girl. I think it best if we split up. Take to the sky - watch from above. If you see me get stuck on the way, then you flatten that entire sector. I don't want a building standing when you're done. Got it?" he told her as his jetpack roared to life and he lifted off from the scorched square of the blown electrical transformer.
://: You'll be fine? You know what happened when you faced Carnifex. ://: she asked him as she rose to hover in the air as well.
"That was Carnifex. These Jedi ain't him and never will be. I'll be fine." he said. "Now go, and stay safe."
://: You too. ://:

With that, the duo split up.

Vren zipped through the darkened city, but before long, his proximity sensors started to give warnings. Touching down, he drew both his blasters and started moving through the shadows more slowly toward the corporate sector, waiting for those that were closeby.

The anger of betrayal sat deep within him.

The once-forgiving Mando'ad didn't have much forgiveness left for those that act against the Children of Mandalore.

"Vode an." he whispered as the proximity sensors became more insistint.

Her home was under attack.

Cora had foreseen this - visions of explosions rocking the sprawling capital of Axilla and civilians fleeing from blaster fire had assaulted her while on Thule. The Force hadn't revealed who the instigator was, but it didn't matter. Now, she knew.

Mandalorians.

Her only interaction with the warrior empire had been on Ryloth, through which she hadn't been able to form a strong opinion. Now she couldn't say their name without bile burning at the back of her throat.

A series of tunnels, meant to house the royal family in times of peril, stretched beneath the surface of the palace.

Not that there's much of a royal family left to protect, Cora mused to herself as she moved through an arm of the darkened passage. Queen Drusilla had died during childbirth, and Prince Horace had passed away recently after a particularly nasty fall. That left only the King, aged and unwell as he was.

And technically, Cora herself. The Princess who had failed to sire an heir, who lived in exile after pushing her husband from a window into his grave. The official story had ruled Prince Horace's death an accident, after witch his poor, heartbroken wife left Ukatis to mourn in peace. The Grand Vizier had not concealed the truth in order to protect the honor of the murderess, but to keep peace with both the Galactic Alliance and Ukatis' general populace.

Cora held a glowrod aloft, illuminating wall etchings in High Ukatian, a language known only by the nobility of the planet. The markings served as directions, cleverly hid in a script that almost no foreigner - or native commoner - was likely to know.

"All's clear so far." She murmured to Shan Pavond Shan Pavond via commlink. The two had come to Ukatis directly from Thule, arriving in the unmarked ship gifted to her by Darth Nwul Darth Nwul . Given the circumstances, a part of her was surprised at how difficult it had been to leave Thule. In the aftermath of her marriage, she'd found forbidden solace and genuine affection in the arms of the Sith Lord, and he'd been understanding of her need to leave, to defend her people.

The reinforced areas of the catacombs would make a good place to hide civilians and ferry supplies along the frontlines, so Cora broke off from Shan to sweep the tunnels and ensure that there were no Mandalorian elements hiding within. So far there weren't, but as she rounded a bend, something tugged at her attention further along the corridor.

Something familiar.

LOCATION: Dodecopolis, Yag'Dhul

Nizhalgal watched from atop the Capitol building as Mandalorian forces besieged the city. His intelligence network had alerted him that Yag'Dhul would be a major target, and it made perfect sense strategically. And, all in all, it was beneficial to Nizhalgal's goals. The Enclave fighting the Alliance was sure to spread chaos to the wider Galaxy. It was one step closer to the Awakening foretold in the ancient scrolls he had found. He very much wanted to see it come to pass.

That being said, he also didn't want it to be at the expense of his people. So, he had instructed the Givin citizens to hunker down and endure, not to engage the Mandalorians. That job was for Alliance soldiers and Jedi, what ones could be spared. What Nizhalgal knew of the Enclave and Mandalorians in general, most would not attack unarmed civilians. Most.

But if it came down to it, he could always step in. He hated being center of attention, preferring to pull strings from the shadows. He had simple never craved any spotlight. And there were plenty of ways to deal with an enemy without being seen or heard. Especially under the cover of darkness. Nizhalgal was no warrior, but he had a few tricks up his sleeve that not even his fellow Believers knew about....

Argen Vance stood at the back of the Bloodwing's cockpit, overseeing the flight of the vehicle for a moment. The pilot and co-pilot of the craft pretended not to notice him. Hopefully, his presence would be even less detectable to those outside the craft.

Argen had recently completed his training as Naval Intelligence Liaison to Special Operations. His remit included using craft like the Bloodwing- a Tie Stealth Reaper- to carry operatives into enemy territory. Whenever Intelligence or Special Operatives needed to coordinate with the Navy, Argen was meant to facilitate that.

In person.

And if necessary, provide support in the field.

War between the Enclave and the Alliance had made the clandestine insertion of operatives an article of paramount importance.

Events transpiring today would be essential to determining the balance of power in the galaxy. It was a balance that the Empire would not ignore, nor allow to tip in any direction without their hand on the rudder.

Satisfied about the progress of the craft, Argen turned and headed to the rear of the vehicle, where the passengers for today's jaunt were making themselves ready for the task ahead.

"I trust you are comfortable," he said as he joined them, "I regret I was unable to make proper introductions before now. I am Captain Argen Vance, Naval Intelligence, and I'll be overseeing your transport and support for today's mission."

Makko and a full team of special forces soldiers soldiers had been inserted into the capital on a stealth shuttle to protect the royal family. The fear was that the Mandalorians would try to capture the ruling family and nobility and force them into signing a treaty. Ukatis was not a wealthy world, the royal leaders of the agricultural planet hadn’t built grand armies and orbital batteries to defend the endless fields.

Makko didn’t need to know the details of how the Alliance knew the mandalorian intent. The soldiers he was working with had told him firmly not to ask such questions. If the royal family signed an agreement over the barrel of a gun, there would be little chance of an armed rebellion that could threaten the occupation forces.

His armour kept him blended into the environment as he walked carefully. The special forces around him moved as an organised unit, checking corners and angles and covering one another. Compared to their practised professionalism, he felt like an amateur.

Makko kept his saber deactivated in his hand, walking in the middle of the group. He let the Force guide his steps as they worked through the nest of tunnels. Ukatis did not give away such sensitive information as part of their tentative steps into the Alliance. They were working their way through the tunnels based on guesswork and the guidance of the Force.

The Force brought clarity to a vague sense that had stubbornly clung to the back of his mind. Suddenly a presence had a direction.

“Team, friendlies ahead,” he hissed. “I’m going on.”

It wasn’t hard to follow the bond. It had been frayed and tattered, but Makko had searched deep within himself to try and hold onto those bonds. Even if the other side led into a place of darkness that he could not reach. He could almost visualise the tether taking him to the next vertex of corridors.

"Just…be here with me right now."

"I will be," he had said quietly.

And he had been.

But he hadn’t meant that to mean just the immediate situation, packed into the back of a freighter with a half-empty packet of spice. He had meant it as a promise to support her in the wake of what she had suffered on Ukatis. Makko had not been there for her. He had broken his own silent promise, with Cora far beyond him.

After reaching out to her for months during the torture of her marriage, he had disappeared on Denon. Thrown himself into the fire for her, only to achieve nothing. He hadn’t planned to make the same mistake. No grand gestures, especially after they had agreed to put that element of their relationship on hold. Just simple, unwavering support as she found her feet.

He rounded a corner and saw her. His armour shifted from a pattern of optical camouflage to a dark red. Makko reached up and pulled the mask from his face.

Cora.”

For a brief moment he stood there, frozen in place. Shan, the mirialan padawan who had also been left behind was there too, but Mako’s gaze never wavered.

He crossed the space between them in three long strides. His gaze zig-zagging from side to side as he took in the sight of her, checking for any signs of harm.

“You’re alive, you’re here.”

Noble proprietary be damned, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. A stuttered sigh escaped him as tried to force down the well of emotions that rose up. Unless she had deliberately closed herself to the bond, it would be impossible for her not to sense what he felt.

Makko released her, taking a step back. A moment of embarrassment swallowed in the relief etched into his expression.

“We’re here to find the royal family,” he said firmly. “The Mandalorians are coming for them. I have a team with me.”

Makko’s eyes briefly glazed over. One of his drones bobbed past them, zipping further down the corridor to check for danger on their heels. Behind him, the soldiers in black had taken up position.

A New Mandalorian War...

There had been some optimism within the junior ranks of the Galactic Alliance Navy that such a thing would not come to pass, that maybe just maybe there was a chance of maintaining peace after the horrors of the Second Great Hyperspace War all those years ago. Although such thoughts had been extinguished like a great torch as the Galactic Alliance Senate voted to declare an official state of war between them and the Mandalorian Enclave and they responded in turn. It was now the duty of every citizen within the alliance to take up arms against the Mandalorians by enlisting in the Defense Forces as patriotism returned to the forefront of many people's minds. Those that avoided enlistment would likely be seen as cowards or traitors supporting the Mandalorian's Brute Regime but they were wrong, as even the Mon Calamari Commodore feared the immense loss of life and the displacement of thousands of innocent people all due to the conflict.

Such thoughts would have to wait as the Alliance High Command had summoned every available fleet it could muster in short time as the reports poured in from dozens of planets of Mandalorian Incursions. So it seemed they were keen on splitting the alliance defenders across a dozen battlegrounds which was a masterstroke when it came to military tactics befitting the strongest warriors known to the galaxy. The Main Mandalorian Armada was heading towards
Thyferra a major source of bacta and an important economic planet for the alliance whose economy was going to suffer immensely from such a prolonged conflict. Although it seemed that Naval Intelligence had intercepted their location and promptly alerted the High Command which had sent a large force to destroy the Armada before they could damage any resources on the world.

The Mon Calamari glanced at the various holographic maps around the bridge, searching through every single detail would prove difficult which is why their was a buzz of activity on board the
ANS Yos Kolina II, a Triumph Class A-601 Main Battlecruiser. A powerful battlecruiser introduced by the Trade Federation backed shipyards to fill the gap left over by the Republic Engineering Corporation. Three of the newer class had been assigned to his detachment in an attempt to engage the Mandalorian fleet in direct battle.

The Mandalorian Fleet had arrived in full force as they exited hyperspace in between No Man's Land and the orbit of Thyferra. The Alliance Navy would need to stop them here if they were going to give the other planets under assault some more breathing room.
"Attention, All Stations. Begin full deployment, move our carriers under the protection of our cruisers and have those escort frigates ready to halt any starfighter approach. We are facing the best of the best that the Mandalorians have to offer." Those were the orders of the Mon Calamari Commodore Groyuc-Konaasch which were promptly relayed to the rest of the fleet in formation. The Three Triumph Class Battlecruisers would take center point followed by the two Alliance Class Star Defenders. The Concord Class Star Defenders would act as the wings of the formation; able to respond to sudden movements by the Mandalorian Commander much quicker than the heavier battleships ever could manage.

"Begin firing all frontal main batteries at their center line, and begin prepping our 1st and 2nd starfighters cores for deployment." A second set of orders, which were relayed. The Front Line of the Formation would begin firing main batteries towards the Mandalorian's Formation in an attempt to gain an early lead in the battle.

  • The Fleet has entered into Battle Formation
  • The Fleet has begun firing at the center line of the Mandalorian Formation

Invasion was coming. War upon the GA.

Jonyna had prepared her padawans as best she could. She'd done everything she could to prepare for the coming war. But the war had come, and now she waited.

"Ko, Rayia, whatever happens, we stand together."

She had landed with her paddies on the Reaper just hours before the invasion began. The capital of Ukatis, a planet she had only been to once, back during the harvest festival. Now the capital was on fire. In her mind's eye, she saw the burning of the city-tree. A generational memory, a story told from cathar to cathar. The knight had spent the last few hours rushing to make some attempt to fortify the city, and yet...

It made little difference. The mandos were tearing through what defenses there were, and now the knight and her padawans were on the defensive. Jonyna had already gotten a slug to the back, lucky her coat caught it. She could only fight in retaliation. Flame shot at the mando who had fired on her, engulfing her opponent. She hated doing it, but at this point it wasn't a matter of honor. It was a matter of survival. She had done her best to avoid this kind of battle in her hayday as a Rebel. Hit and run, always the aggressor, never the defender. She hated the feeling of being on the backfoot.

Hopefully she could protect her family now. Her son and daughter. The ship was in a safe place, her droid prepped to take off on a moment's notice.

Kiffu
Objective II: Shadow Storm

white.png

Yarmin switched to the night vision system in his commando helmet, plunging the eerie darkness into a bath of verdant green shadows. It wasn’t like seeing in broad daylight, of course, but it gave him a much-needed edge against the Mandalorian agents at work on Kiffu.

The commando stepped slowly through the alleyway, skirting along the side of a building as he moved closer to the open street ahead.

<“All clear on my end,”> he said through the team’s comms.

<“No movement, all’s quiet.”>

Too quiet, he thought to himself. Stealth wasn’t a skill Yarmin attributed to Mandalorians often, but he supposed he had to credit them for making the most of this blackout they’d created. He hadn’t seen a damn thing out of place yet. Everything in his body was shouting that this was an ambush, but they couldn’t pussyfoot around and risk finding out at the end of Enclave barrels.

Reports indicated that their mission here had something to do with the city’s primary generator, but what else they wanted besides bringing it offline he couldn’t conjecture. If they wanted it destroyed, they’d have done that initially. They were here for something else, and whatever it was, they had to stop them before the Mandalorians reached their mark.

The Chiss came to the end of the alley and posted up on the corner. Better wait for the others to sound off before crossing the street, he figured. Yarmin held his position, waiting for the rest of the squad.

Oh, this sucks

That was all he could think to himself as Connell looked around at the unbridled carnage that was the rule of thumb right now. This was the horror that his parents had told him about, the horror that was war and the young Jedi Knight was right in the middle of it. This was going to be the ultimate test of his resolve though, If it wasn’t Sith, it was Mandalorians, if not Mandalorians, some Empire, He would just have to deal with it, but that was later. Right now his focus was on getting some innocent people to safety, that is why he was in front of a public transport being repurposed into an “escape vehicle.”

The building was close to the dome itself and in full view of the shipyard, where the Mandalorians had already taken and established as their base of operations. He would help deal with that soon enough but these people needed to be evacuated and done so now. Luckily some Padawans were with him to help, they would ride the transport out in case of any problems.

Come onCome onCome on… we’re getting out of here.

The last sentient, a Duro, was on and he slapped the closing door three times. They were off. It was getting dark out, again, they needed to get a hand on this as these invaders were not going to let up. This wasn’t going any other way than a fight, the Defense Force was just getting here and making little headway on the ground. He had to keep looking for anyone that could not fend for themself.

Keep moving north, there is a transport there picking up survivors!

This was going to get exponentially worse before it would begin to remotely get better.

Boots on the ground, looking for and evacuating any survivors rather close to the shipyard.

Noble Home

"I'll be okay, I promise," Valery said as she stepped closer to Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble and wrapped her arms around him for another tight embrace. It was at least the third or fourth already, and while she made it seem like she was trying to reassure him with those hugs and her words, she really was reassuring herself. Shai Maji Shai Maji 's death had taken a toll on her will to fight — the woman had been like a sister to her, and now early on in this new conflict, she had already been forced to strike her down.

How could she really give it her all after that?

Valery's gaze shifted to her side, and looked out through the window to see their children playing in the backyard. That was her reminder. Her reason to give it her all, no matter what happened. This war barely existed to her kids, who were either too young to really understand it, or at least too young to be involved. She wanted to keep it that way. Too many young people had given their lives to defeat the Maw, but not again.

"You know the drill, huh? We go in, and we make it back." She smiled, took his hand to interlace fingers, and let her thumb brush over his wedding band. "I'll see you after the battle. And... I love you," she said before kissing him on the lips. Those three final words were the ones she needed to hear the most, and the ones she wanted him to remember as he went into battle.

...
Kiffu

While her farewell to her family had been fairly rushed with the Mandalorian surprise attack offering no time to prepare, Valery hadn't wasted any time after that point. She had gotten into her fighter and blasted off towards Kiffu, one of several crucial planets the Mandalorians were attacking in full-force. The darkness there made it difficult for most to fight. At least without wearing awkward contraptions on their heads for nightvision.

Valery had no such trouble — her Keshian eyes could see both the UV and Infrared spectrums as well, allowing her to at least find her way through darkness. So, after making her way down, she began to follow heat signatures she could see, both walking on land and flying up in the air. From Jedi and soldiers rushing to positions, to Mandalorians striking from the skies using their jetpacks. This battle was already incredibly intense, and worst of all, she couldn't imagine the Alliance defeating them here.

Not with how much strength the Mandalorians were bringing for this.

"But I will slow you down..." she muttered to herself, as she reached for her lightsaber and held the hilt in her hand. She wasn't going to ignite it until she found her target, and she knew that wouldn't take long. So, from one of the rooftops in the corporate sector, the Jedi Master watched and waited for her first target to appear.

She knew they were coming.

Kiffu and Kiffex.

Two planets, two siblings. Brother worlds rotating in a balanced circle around each other as they orbitte their star. They were bound together, permanently bonded. Nothing could tear them apart, as long as their gravity kept them together. It was a beautiful thing, and one of many galactic phenomenon in space. Looking up to Kiffex from Kiffu's surface, a young Mandalorian sighed in distress. Her Shaman cloak flowed in the wind as she stood alone. Surrounded by lightning trees in an empty field, she felt at one with the chaos of Kiffu's lightning storms. The evening sky was darkening, once again reflecting the storm in her soul.

The Mandalorian turned and started to walk another way, back turned on the sibling planet above. She was positive that the Force drug here here for a reason. And the nightmare visions she experienced on Kestri were still in constant replay. She had a feeling that her loyalties were about to sever for good, and she despised it. She did not want to fight her fellow vod in battle. She loathed the thought of turning her back on her family. But she had seen the dark future of her people, and it forced her to act. She kept convincing herself that she was not to blame; that it was them. That they drove her to this. But the guilt never left her. And no matter how much she tried to do right, she still felt like she was in the wrong.

With her head hung in shame, she quietly stepped through the electric storm field. If the Enclave was going to come to Kiffu, the Galactic Alliance would not be the only opposition they met. No matter how much it grieved her... her grandfather's war had to be stopped. Even if she had to face her own sister on the battlefield.

The only light to be seen were the lightning flashes in the sky.

With her stealth technology fully activated, the hooded and cloaked Shaman stood atop a corner of a rooftop. She looked down at the squadron of Mandalorian below. Beneath her visor, a look of bitter regret was written on her face. She felt sorrow, guilt, and remorse as she lifted her vambrace towards the soldiers. Enemy soldiers.

I won't kill you, but I am sorry still.

Elise had learned from her grandfather that sometimes, there were casualties in war that simply could not be avoided. But that never stopped Elise from only killing when necessary. She always prided herself in being just as good of a Mandalorian without lethality, but using all her skills to fight fellow Mandalorians? It killed her inside. She sighed as she clicked the dart launcher on her vambrace.

Mother's Root. It will knock you out long enough to restrain you.

One dart flew from the vambrace. It pierced a vod's bodyglove and pumped the Mother's Root into his system. As he fell, another dart landed in a second vod's own weak spot. Stealth tech deactivated, Elise stood up and fired again. Thanks to her Force Sense, she was faster than the third soldier who was actively turning. He fell, and two more remained. Elise gritted her teeth as she activated her jetpack.

"Traitor!" One of the remaining soldiers shouted in rage, lifting his own vambrace and firing his flamethrower at her. Elise jumped, using her jetpack training from her aunt to evade the shot as she pulled a folded up weapon from her back. She clicked her bow into position as she landed on another rooftop. She knocked and loosed an arrow, slaming the projectile into his vambrace and causing it to malfunction. As he rapidly turned off the dangerous equipment, Elise aimed another shot with her dart and took him out. One remained, but he had slipped away in the darkness. Lightning flashed, revealing the fallen bodies of his comrades, but only them. Elise closed her eyes, extending her Force Sense. Where-wait!

She turned around, pulling her kal from her utility belt and blocking a beskad's strike. The Mandalorian opposing her hissed in frustration as he aimed his vambrace at her, point blank.

POW!

A wrist blaster's shot was unable to break her 'gam, but it shoved her back. She was thrown off the ledge of the building as lightning once again lit the sky. Her jetpack fumed, and she stopped herself from crashing as she flew low to the ground. She had dropped her weapons, but pulled her personal pistol out and fired a stun shot at him. The Mandalorian jumped off the building, dodging it, and activated his own jetpack.

"Aw, come on! If you're going to betray you people, do it all the way, Dar'manda!"

Elise scowled beneath her buy'ce, but kept her cool. She landed, feigning anger and changing her weapon's settings. She fired a charric round for him. She sensed where he would move, and she fired her wrist dart launcher in that direction. Midair, he was knocked out as the Archais native toxin worked its magic. But before he could crash onto the ground, she extended her hand and caught him with the Force.

She may have been a traitor, but she was no monster. She gently lowered his body as she approached, turning his still active jetpack off and laying him on the ground. She sighed, heart heavy, as she pulled out some cuffs from her utility belt. She was about to cuff the unconscious vod, when...

"E-Elise!"

Elise froze, terror taking over. She recognized that voice!

"Mevia...?"

Jenn hated the waiting. The anticipation of it.

Ever since her new path in life, the smith had found herself to be a more thoughtful soul, insightful and patient - sometimes, the fire and fury of her time as a wanderer bubbled under the surface, threatening to send her into a spiral once more... but, for the most part, she kept a lid on things. She was in control of her thoughts and emotions, and she had learned a modicum of wisdom through her journey to become an accomplished smith of her people. And it was thanks to this wisdom and patience that she pushed down the thoughts of inadequacy that assailed her. Yes, perhaps sending in the Si'kayha instead of someone of the Kayatr'ade like herself might have been the better move for a boarding action - but she was a warrior, was she not? She could fulfill her duty as a metalsmith once the dust cleared.

The thought came to her, unbidden and unwelcome. Perhaps she would see grieving Clans after the battle, bringing the beskar'gam of their fallen kin to her - if they cared to do so. To the Mando'ade, armor was more than merely protection: it was a second skin, and an expression of one's self. Some chose to hold on to the beskar'gam of fallen Vod, unable to move past the grief: others chose to have it repaired, donning it themselves or giving it to another member of the Clan. Some... asked her to use the beskar of the fallen to add onto their own armor, and carry the memory of those who had fallen with them.

Jenn hoped she would see but few of those mighty suits of armor. That her people would triumph. Not out of hate for the enemy, but out of love for those she called Vod.

Her thoughts strayed again as she shifted anxiously in her pod, bringing her bottle of Crus-ade over to her lips (to an Ersansyr like her, the drink was well and truly a blessing. She could not afford to suffer dehydration during combat). She thought of the Jedi she had met on Wielu. Had her words been genuine? They truly seemed to be, and she did let her leave with the beskar'gam. In another life, the two might have been friends. Perhaps they already were. Perhaps some of their adversaries were worthy of consideration and respect. Perhaps the Jedi would survive, and the two would meet again.

Perhaps.

But the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi had shed the blood of her people. Killed the indomitable Warhound. And now, they sought to stifle their resurgence, strangle them as they sought to recover from a time of strife, condemn them to obscurity once more. And for all of her doubts, and fear, she knew one thing to be true above all else. A simple, guiding light in the darkness.

She would fight, kill, and if it came down to it, die for her people and their future.

"Vode An", whispered the smith to herself.

"Help! Anyone! We're being attacked by one of o-"

Mevia paused, lifting her hand to her forehead as the garbled comlink connection was severed. She froze, unable to decifer the words through the noise. Standing, stationed at an Enclave claimed section of the city, Mevia used her H.U.D. to track where the message came from.

"The Galactic Alliance shouldn't be here this soon..."

She turned to look at the partner next to her, Yael Kandar Yael Kandar , with confusion and dread in her tone, "This place must remain on lockdown, but shouldn't someone check that out?"

The squadron leader spoke from the wall he leaned against. "Go. I have a bad feeling about this. The rest of us will remain here, Vizsla."

Mevia once again turned her attention to Yael, "Wish me luck. For Mandalore."

She left her friend and darted into the shadows. An ominous lightning strike flashed just above her, as if to warn of bad tidings...

Yael would not see the same Mevia return that had left her.

Despite the darkness of Kiffu's blackout city, Mevia could see the sister planet Kiffex right above her. Her eyes were strangely fixated on the planet as she ran through the cold streets. Orange lightning dotted the skies as she followed her H.U.D.'s tracking device. What in the galaxy could have been attacking Enclave troops so soon after they secured this region? Was the Galactic Alliance already here somehow?

No matter. Just like any other foe she had faced thus far, from Rodia to Ryloth, she would put them down. The enemies of the glorious Mandalorian Enclave deserved no mercy.

She turned a corner, and she skidded to a halt. Frozen, she felt like she was smacked in the face with an ice-cold towel. She... recognized the figure standing over a Mandalorian body. Her white and red armor glistened in the darkness of the city. Her signature red cloak glowed in crimson betrayal. All thoughts of smiting the enemy flew out of Mevia's head as she whispered in dread. "E-Elise!"

Her sister froze, having heard her loud and clear. The response was both delayed and immediate as she muttered her name. "Mevia..."

Mevia... did not like that tone.

Dread flooded her heart, but she shoved it off. This-this was not what it looked like... right? She nervously chuckled, rubbing her arm and she spoke in a feigned sibling banter, "So you finally decided to join our fight, huh? Took you long enough, dummy. You're investigating the bodies? Who did this, do you know?"

Elise stood there, frozen, before lifting a hand and pulling her hood over her buy'ce. "Uh-I didn't... didn't see..."

They stood there, silent, as worse case scenarios flooded their heads. Mevia was the first to speak, "... Er, where's the rest of your squadron? You have a squad, right? Maybe we can contact them?"

"Uh... no, I'm alone." Elise slightly turned away, her voice notably cracking, "Don't you have somewhere else to be, sis?"

Mevia paused once again, dumb in such horrible feelings. "I was sent to investigate whatever happened here. Have you seen the Galactic Alliance here? I can chase them."

Another awkward, terrible pause.

"No, Mevia..." Elise sighed, lowering her arm, "It's just me..."

They paused once again.

Several lightning strikes dotted the sky. Rolling clouds started to hover in front of the sister planet above.

"... Elise? I need a clue, and I can only see one right now-"

"-What is it?"

Another pause. Another lightning strike.

"I can take care of this-"

"-I have orders. I can't just leave. As much as I want to..."

The clouds thickened in the sky. Kiffex was half enveloped in black fog.

"You can't? Heh." Elise nervously chuckled, her voice hoarse. "Are-are you sure?"

"Are you sure?"

The sky went dark, a strange pause in the lightning above. As Kiffex was completely hidden behind the clouds, Elise spoke one, terrible word.

"Unfortunately."

Mevia gritted her teeth, tearing up. "You..."

With a shaking hand, she ripped her beskad from its sheath, "Y-you..."

"TRAITOR!"

She ran for her, aiming a blind swing for her midsection.

Chief placed his helmet over his head grabbing his weapon in the process. The entire cloning facility was under high alert preparing for lift off, Clone Troopers stood at attention while scientist were looking over Chief making the final preparations for his armor. The Clone Commando stood silent letting the eggheads do their thing while he inspected his DC-17 Blaster Rifle. He gave magazine a good slap before the eggheads gave him the thumbs up. A smirk slowly formed on Chief's lips as he ran towards the spaceport alongside with his brothers.

"Commando!" His commanding officer shouted in Chief's intercom. "Get in that Transport! Your brothers are waiting for you! As soon as you land on Kiffu, you'll receive further orders from your Clone Advisor!"

"Copy that!" Chief said climbing inside of the transport.

"Delta Squad will be the first clone troopers in years to see action! Try to make a good first impression soldier! This is not the simulations anymore! You frack up, and you'll be world of pain!"

Chief was well aware of the risks, spending the first 2 years of his life in that tube running sims over and over again. It almost felt like he was trapped in that blasted tube for 25 years. He was eager to test his mettle, to show the Galaxy why Clone Commandos were respected and feared. "Here we go," Chief said as the doors closed and the transport took off on the way to their first mission.

It was their first time out in the field on an official mission and Jade was quite frankly amazed. It was also Jade’s first real military trip. It was a bit nerve-wracking for her. She wasn’t prepared as intensely as Boss, Bob, Blaze and Gears were bred to be soldiers. Trained non-stop in their short lives for this moment. Jade was just a lost girl, who happened to meet a smart doctor who created and cared for the quartet of commandos that Jade was ferrying to the surface of a planet far from home. A friendship with Akiya Orime Akiya Orime was the reason that Jade was here. Not because she thought the Galactic Alliance should be undermined, or that the Mandalorian quest for war was a righteous one. There were many variables in letting new clones out into the field. Jade needed to monitor them. Akiya would want the young clones protected and their successes touted.

”Ok boys. We’re gonna be on the ground in under sixty,” Jade called back into the drop ship where Delta Squad was probably already to get things started. ”We’ll set down one klick east of the capital. There is all sorts of traffic out there. And the power seems to be down still on the surface. Not sure who is friendly and who is an enemy.” She reached over to a consol next to her piloting controls and flipped a switch. ”Transmitting the details on the target now.”

Jade had little doubt that the four were seeing the information scroll across their HUDs concerning the Muun banker Clatt Fessi. Studying it in more detail than she had taken in for sure. ”Fessi’s office is right next to one of the largest Kiffar security posts. But I’m sure you can find a way around or through that. Akiya says you guys are the best squad to hit the front lines. We’re about to hit ground, get out there and prove her right. Need emergency evac you hit the call and I’ll be on my way.” The drop ship gave a soft jolt as the landing gear touched the surface. The ramps folded down and now it was up to Delta Squad to make their impact.

KIFFU, KIFFU SECTOR, INNER RIM

War comes in different shapes, it changes, both in the actual actions taken, and the reason for it. In this case, it's a show of strength. It's a collective punishment. It's a red alert for the Alliance, and every other power in the galaxy, that you don't, and will never, have a say in Mandalorian Enclave's state actions, nor are they to intervene in our sphere of influence. With a casus belli there comes the target.

The customs office. We have no use for that, anything stored in the five story building is exclusively for The Alliance's bureaucracy, as in, nothing valuable will be lost in the event of the scorched earth destruction of the building and the general area, when the Enclave has achieved full occupation of Kiffu. It's not like we are aiming to settle the planet after all, Clan Kandar will oppose that if it ever comes into discussion. Kiffu is to be stripped of its energy and other resources, and the planet is to be used as an outpost, that's our official position on the matter.

Thus, a more aggressive approach is acceptable, and desirable from our point of view, for two reasons. First, this is a blatant demonstration of collective punishment against the Galactic Alliance, for their repeated interventions in internal Enclave politics and direct involvement in the death of Mandalorian Enclave hero, Shai Maji Shai Maji . Two, this is a propaganda platform as Clan Kandar, with me as its direct extension, climbs the ladder of Enclave politics as the war goes by. Three, the customs office is located in a part of the city that is still controlled by the local defense force, and is to be taken, civilian casualties are only a second concern. An explosion right in the customs office will achieve all three objectives, and thus, is the smartest action to take.

As our team splits up, Mevia Vizsla Mevia Vizsla and her crew departed to the city's outskirt, checking for the suspected intruder, and some of my War Dogs moving towards the customs office, the rest of the crew remain stationed, protecting the occupied sections of the city, and by extension, the other teams, from any possible Alliance-aligned incursion, whether it is local militias, sleeper SIA agents, or any form of Jedi activity. They have been able to sniff Enclave's attack quite quickly in the past, so it's something that we absolutely have to account for.

Perimeters are set, lookouts and patrols are in place, communication with other teams, both in Kiffu, amongst them Guildmaster Vren Rook Vren Rook and the Imperial mercs, and other target systems, are established. The city is dark and full of terror. It has gone smoothly from the start, chances are something is to pop out in no time. We have been winning, but the war hasn't been easy, nor will it ever be. Just look at the history, the Galactic Alliance has endured longer than most does. Yet this is the Mandalorian Enclave. We remember. Every sin they had, everything they owed us, every stab on our back, every grievances we have against them, it was all recorded by the golden generation of the Enclave, and now, it's time to knock on their door and demand payment.

Ukatis - in the Capital

Shan hadn't wanted to be involved in this war. It wasn't something that he trusted himself not to lose himself in. Even as someone with poor connections to sensing people's emotions, it wasn't hard for him to feel the panic and fear of the Ukatis citizen's around him. The Mirialan kept his lightsaber concealed under his robes for now, if there was a Mandalorian nearby, the lightsaber would only just mark him as a target. The irony that Shan felt safer when he was in the captivity of the Sith, than he was when he had his "freedom" back. But he had to push that fear down. There were people who needed his assistance as he moved through the crowd, trying to direct civilians in the way of the tunnels that Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania had told him about.

"I'm sending some people to the tunnels now. Told them to take whatever supplies they can. Stay safe Cora. I'm only one call away if you need help." The Padawan replied down his commlink, grimacing to himself. Shan didn't know too much about what was going on with Cora and the Royal Family. There was a slightly selfish aspect of him that wanted to help the nobility and become more well-known, but the regular people were going to need help more than they did. He could already feel the rumbles and explosions of war coming from the distance and had to push his own fear deep down into his stomach. Focus on helping. Not on the chaos. Focus on what you can do.

He could feel the familiar presence of Jonyna Si Jonyna Si Ko Vuto Ko Vuto and Rayia Si Rayia Si in the distance. It was uplifting, considering how long he had been away from familiar light side presences. There were probably holding off some of the Mandalorians on the edge of the capital, and Shan was really starting to wish he had any clue what the plans of the NJO were right now, but running off to meet up with them would potentially cause more civilian casualities since Shan wouldn't be able to direct them towards the tunnels.

So that's what the Padawan did instead. Running through the capital and directing people as well as he could. Of course there would be a few people who wouldn't listen to him. Looters, or people who were just too panicked to even hear his words. So Shan would do his best to try and reassure the people where he could before moving on. He wasn't a fighter. He should have been working as a medic or support, but here he was running through chaos and mayhem, just trying to help evacuate.

A trio of foxes leapt through the storm, red hair streaking in the darkness. The mandos had decided to cut the power to the city. Good. Darkness was their ally.

Green eyes made their path clear. The masks they had made navigating the darkness easy, and their training kept them capable.

Now their first true test.

"I've got movement on the right. Vixen, intercept."

One of the foxes pushed forward, grabbing a mando from behind. Slipping a knife into the neck the mando, right through the bodyglove the bounty hunter had.

"Eagle, pull him in."

A second fox slipped in, grabbing the body and pulling it into an alley, while the first fox disappeared into the shadows.

The Chiss came to the end of the alley and posted up on the corner. Better wait for the others to sound off before crossing the street, he figured. Yarmin held his position, waiting for the rest of the squad.

Drego tapped his squadmates shoulder, giving him the go ahead that he was ready. It felt a little strange, a mando working alongside commandos that, in another life, Drego would probably be leading. Had his first op gone different, this couldn't been a very different war for him. Now he had taken a stance against his clan. His brothers in arms.

But he wouldn't stand for mindless violence. War should have meaning. A code of honor. Crusades? That was a bunch of chit. He'd spent the last few days upgrading his arsenal, prepping for what would come next. Now he was on a blacked out planet intercepting a bunch of fellow Mandos.

<I got a feeling things are gonna light up soon.>
