The outpost boasts a "High" security rating, a designation well-earned by its layered defenses and robust security protocols. While the facility itself is a rough, primarily underground structure, its defenses are anything but basic. A massive metal door serves as the primary barrier against exterior threats, complemented by an array of long trenches and fourteen artillery emplacements outside. More than just a hard shell, a powerful shield generator protects the base from orbital bombardment, forming a formidable initial line of defense.

Beyond the physical fortifications, the outpost relies on a network of concealed perimeter sensors to provide early warnings of approaching ships or vehicles. Inside, modified security droids patrol the corridors, maintaining order and providing an additional layer of surveillance. Reinforced blast doors are strategically placed to seal off key areas in the event of an attack, compartmentalizing threats and protecting vital assets. Trained RIB agents, equipped with standard issue small arms, explosives, and security armor, form the core of the internal security force, while hidden, low-yield automated turrets positioned at strategic junctions provide supplemental defensive firepower. This combination of physical barriers, technological surveillance, and well-trained personnel creates a layered and robust defense system, ensuring a high level of security for the outpost.

Blackwatch Station was established by the Royal Intelligence Bureau in response to growing concerns about the resurgence of the Sith Order in the Outer Rim. Recognizing the need for a forward listening post, the RIB selected the abandoned Rebel base on Crait for its strategic location and existing infrastructure. The base was discreetly renovated and outfitted with advanced intelligence-gathering equipment. The primary goal of Blackwatch Station is to provide early warnings and detailed intelligence reports to the Naboo government, enabling proactive measures to protect the Republic from potential Sith threats. The base is staffed by experienced RIB operatives who are dedicated to safeguarding Naboo's interests in a volatile galaxy.
