- No Guns: There’s no way for the Blackwell to return fire on its opponents.
Ready for service once more, the Blackwell III is the latest in the surgical transport’s line. Replacing the defunct Blackwell II, the third generation of medical ships boasts an expanded hangar for support craft while maintaining a high rate of speed, maneuverability and defense. Enables the ship to get to where it’s needed most quickly, and to get back to medical stations even faster.
Equipped with a SubLight Acceleration Motor, the Blackwell is able to traverse at very high speeds and make a quick exit when necessary. The ship boasts medical research labs, and various built-in analyzers that work to help medical personnel research and create solutions to problems on the spot.
Being a ship dedicated to medical transport, the Blackwell does not carry any armaments. It relies on the defenses and countermeasures to buy enough time to hyperjump away from danger. It is recommended to keep the Blackwell with an escort or convoy.
