Blade and Saber Survey Results

My thanks to the dozens of you who took this survey for 99 unique characters. Due to my lack of paid features, I had to process each line by hand (one reason for a four-question multiple-choice survey) - so I apologize for any small errors that may have crept in. ("Hey, where's my Tapani saber rake battleaxe wielder NFU?!?!") I'm shorter on time than I'd anticipated, so there's nothing fancy about the data viz:

Some observations and stray thoughts:
  1. Sith are slacking in the saberstaff sector.
  2. Jedi use canon forms/styles a good deal more often than Sith do. All the Old Republic forms are appropriately and proportionately represented - except poor Juyo.
  3. Clearly I guessed wrong re: the most common saber colors. That's a LOT of 'other color.' Adding a text field would have taken me additional time to sort and clean and I wasn't feeling it. Anyone who chose 'other color' and wants to say what theirs is, by all means tell the room.
  4. Among both Jedi and Sith, Sokan is painfully underutilized.
  5. Among both Jedi and Sith, Trakata is a lot more common than I thought.
  6. The three New Jedi Order styles have a small but loyal core following among both the Light and the Dark.
  7. Appropriately and rightly, no Sith used Vaapad.
  8. ...but what's with the lack of Sith Ataru practitioners?
  9. I got pretty inside baseball calculating forms-per-saber-type and ran out of time to chartify them. If anyone's curious, hit me up.
  10. Those few Jedi Vaapadeers should do a little tournament among themselves.
  11. Swords are almost as popular as single-bladed sabers among the Sith, hot dang.
  12. Loving the Soresu non-Sith Darksiders.
  13. Total up all categories, and Form V (Shien/Djem So) is the standout leader for most popular form. Second place was Soresu but it wasn't even close.

Also, for the record, Ataru was Voph's style of choice back in his Sith days (also when he was a lot younger), so we got at least that one. :p (I didn't mark that on the survey as it instructed to only user current Forms. Shien and Juyo are Voph's primary forms, with Ataru being a close second, Soresu in third, and the rest are a "layman's knowledge")

Being one of the "other" color individuals, Voph's blade is currently a pure white. However, he has used a multitude of colors over the years. His original lightsaber was of course Red, as it was a gift from his Sith Master, but when he made his first blade, the color was blue. After that, his lightsabers ranged from blue to purple, and even used a green blade for a couple years. During his final days among the Sith, Voph was afflicted with a force sickness as a result of modifying a shatterpoint, and this corrupted the crystal in his lightsaber to produce a sick looking off-white/black color in his blades.

Pearlescent white, owing to the white krayt dragon pearl in the core of Zak's lightsaber.

Unless anyone ever submitted more than 111 dev thread posts for a lightsaber that didn't require a Factory sub to begin with, I think I still hold the record for most development of a flavor sub (at least for a lightsaber) :p
