SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Bread or Butter: Is capable of cutting through most materials with relative ease.
  • A Master's Weapon: Imbued with the Force, its thought that the Force presence of this saber's creator and original wielder has left behind a fragment of his very essence with in the saber's crystal. When wielding the saber, the user may find their hand subtly guided by the hand of it's long dead master.
  • Aggressive Negotiations: In the case that striking an opponent did not kill them, this saber's phobium emitter produce an unsteady beam which could render it's victim temporarily paralyzed.
NEUTRAL
  • Parasite: The Thing within requires sustenance. Lives claimed by the weapon do not merely disappear into the ether, gone to some afterlife, but they are trapped within the crystal itself. However, if the weapon is unable to slake its thirst, it will turn its attention to its wielder, forcing them to submit, or to go mad, until they too ultimately perish and are trapped within the crystal.

WEAKNESSES
  • Short-Circ: As with many lightsabers, there is the threat of short circuiting the weapon's internal mechanisms if it strikes cortosis.
  • Unwieldy: Between the saber's large (somewhat unnecessary) bayonet, and the heavy phobium emitter, this saber is more cumbersome and difficult to wield than others of its type. Those without sufficient strength may not be able to wield it with one hand.
  • A Life Unto Itself: With its original creator's essence having been imbued into the crystal, a nearly overwhelming sense of hate emanates from the weapon. Overtime, this hate began to manifest itself. Physically, tendrils of black smoke waft off it's surface, reaching and feeling their way through the world. Have care it does not reach into your mind, and allow it to influence your thoughts and actions.

DESCRIPTION
Tulak Hord. Lord of Hate. The Gathering Darkness. A Sith Lord. A master of the lightsaber. A powerful Force user. A conqueror. A legend. Much was lost to time, but some things remained. Whispers of power, of knowledge. Knowledge that Dax Perl Dax Perl sought out. When the retired Grand Marshall finally came across this ancient relic in an old dusty tomb on Korriban, there was no way to know who it once belonged to. What secrets it held. But Dax was not so easily deterred. He knew objects of ancient power such as this could speak, and he did everything he could to have it tell its secrets.

What manner and methods he went about doing this were many and varied, but in the end it was not Dax's own efforts that finally awoke whatever slept within the saber. The weapon, wielded by a Sith of unimaginable power, had slowly grown to acquire wants and desires of its own. Languishing in its resting place among the dead, gathering dust, its inability to fulfill those desires drove it mad. Or maybe it was already mad.

Once more wielded by those with power, this Hateful Thing seeks to inflict pain and suffering of its own accord. It whispers into the ears of its wielder, indecipherable utterings which beget eternal torment within its dark crystalline heart. Should the wielder bend to the weapon's wishes, they are gifted boundless talent in lightsaber combat. Should the wielder resist, they may one day find themselves betrayed by the weapon, trapped within the crystal like all its victims, past and present.
