The Blades of Mandalore are a unique congregation amongst the Aka'liit. Originally, they stood as apart of the SuperCommandos and serves as a unit close to the Mand'alor himself. However, as time moved forward, their purpose evolved - no longer did they only fight beside him...they were his Guardians. As their culture struggles to survive, the Blades now exist to keep Mand'alor the Exile - their symbol of hope - alive to see restoration occur. To this end, they root out assassination attempts and stomp down unworthy challenges to the mantle.

As a whole, they are unorthodox. Their methods revolve around the usage of a physical, beskar-born blade and the mastery of a Jetii lightsaber form. The election to master foreign arts was done so that the Blades may keep the Mand'alor alive, not only by their might, but by challenging his skills in uncanny matters.
