SPECIAL FEATURES
- Custom made and balanced specifically for Asaaj
- Tensioned opening and closing mechanism for quick use
- Ergonomic handles
- Alchemised cutting edge with cortosis spine makes the blade sharp and resistant and allows saber blades caught in the scissor to be 'cut' by the cortosis
STRENGTHS
- Alchemised blades - Resistant to lightsaber blades and other advanced cutting weapons
- Perfectly balanced - Balanced and weighted for Asaaj, these blades allow her to move swiftly and with deadly accuracy, meaning she can make the most of her species abilities.
- Cortosis spine - The fused cortosis spines of the weapons can short out lightsabers, meaning any sabers caught by the open blades risk being 'cut'
WEAKNESSES
- Relatively poor cutting potential - traditionally a punching blade, the greatest damage is caused by piercing, and whilst the songsteel edge with rip through flesh and even light armour, heavy armour and other thick surfaces will resist the cut fairly well
- Alchemised blades - There is a force about these blades that can be felt by other force sensitive, making their presence easy to detect
- Limited reach - only around 12 inches long the blades can easily be put ranged forcing the user to rely on their martial skills to close the distance
DESCRIPTION
Made 600 years ago as a wedding gift for Asaaj on Ubelixa, these blades are perfectly balanced and weighted to allow her to take full advantage of her physiology. The beautifully crafter weapons have weathered years of service well and even their ancient opening mechanism shows no signs of wear and is as smooth as it always has been.
In combat, each blade is held by the handle and with a squeeze the user can open the outer blades to cause greater damage or to catch enemy blades, making use of the fused Cortosis to deactivate light sabers. The blades are incredibly sharp and cut through exposed flesh like butter. Only thick armour slows them down and even then, a punch from a strong user will be enough to kill most targets.
