BIOGRAPHY:
Blake Lane never knew his biological parents. Shortly after he was born, a freak accident took both his parents from him, leaving him to be raised by his grandparents. Despite the rather bumpy start, most people in the galaxy would not see this as much of a loss for Blake. While his parents had been simple merchants with a small vessel to their name, Blake's grandparents on his mothers side were an ancient, if somewhat little known Hapan nobility. Blake's mother had run away from the family when she had met her future husband, and Blake's grandparents were determined not to let their grandson follow in his parents footsteps.
Much of his youth and early adult life were spent learning all that he would need to one day take his place at the head of his family, a role he took to with some reservation. While he excelled in his studies, became a star athlete at the academy he attended, and even began to work in the family trade business, he never enjoyed it. He knew he should feel lucky, living the life of nobility and privilege's, never know hunger or want, he did not feel fulfilled. He wished to accomplish more in his life, and make a meaningful difference.
Blake made his life changing decision not long after his thirtieth birthday. Having heard of the exploits of the Agents of Chaos, and their drive to ensure freedom for all across the galaxy, Blake made the decision to renounce his old life and travel across the galaxy, joining the organization. He would eventually join the Silencers, the assassins of the Agents of Chaos, where he would develop his body and mind into that of a true warrior. While he never fully joined the religious aspects of the division, he came to enjoy the work that he did. The killing were perhaps not the best part of it all, but for once in his life, he could see true results come from his actions. The death of a slave master at his hands saw the liberation of hundreds of innocents. The death of a tyrant in his sleep prevented a war from erupting, saving untold numbers of lives.
He rose up the ranks of the division, and even stood on the brink of becoming a Reaper, the highest ranking assassins within the Silencers when the world he had crafted for himself came crumbling down. Shortly before the Agents of Chaos were to begin their war against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Blake was chosen to attempt the trials required to become a Reaper for the Silencers. He was taken by two senior Reapers out into the galaxy, with all records of the trial, as was normal, being erased. No one knows what happened during his trials, but of the three individuals that departed, only a single, nearly dead Reaper returned.
Blake turned his back on the Agents of Chaos, though he did not emerge from his betrayal unscathed. Wounded himself, Blake returned to Hapes, to his grandparents estate to recover. He should have known better, in hindsight. A Silencer strike team, sent to hunt him down for his actions and betrayal of their cult, arrived at the estate. Having recovered somewhat from his ordeal, Blake was able to defend himself in the ensuing battle, but was unable to save his grandparents. A Silencer took special care in ensuring they met their ends for the Glory of Discordia, so that they could pay the price of Blake's treason. Blake fled from Hapes, pursued for months by his former comrades. He eliminated them one by one, until he was finally free of immediate pursuit.
As the sole inheritor of his families wealth, he dedicated every credit of it to establishing a new organization, one created in the image of the realization he had come to months before during his trial. On a newly built space station, deep in Unknown Regions of the galaxy, Blake had begun to turn his sights to expanding the organization he has built, and preparing to carry out its goals across the galaxy.
