Blas-Tech Industries Subsidiary Auction:Pharma-Tech

Alric Kuhn

Handsome K'lor'slug
OOC:
This is an open Auction for the wholesale of Pharma-Tech all of its products, production facilities, and anything else associated with the company itself.

This is a blind auction and thus the bids are to be PM'd to me. I will post who has bid and who currently has the highest bid, but not the bid itself. This is mostly to keep people from throwing judgement around on what is being bid and to keep things more fun. Bids can include anything, Stock, Money, Contracts, etc...

This thread is to be maintained with heavy IC interaction only. If you have any question or concerns, please feel free to PM me.

Auction will conclude Sunday January 11th 11pm EST

IC:
The Hydians Auction House located on Epica was perhaps one of the most beautiful buildings that Alric had ever seen. The architecture, the statues, and the murals painted within were absolutely breath taking, and as he was led from the VIP area to the Auction Stage he couldn't help but let out an impressed whistle at all of the things he saw on this day. He smiled slightly when he noticed the Auctioneer grinning at his response.

Clearly these people were proud of where they worked.

As well they should be.

Today Alric was here to auction off something that technically did not belong to him. Pharma-Tech, owned by Blas-Tech Industries. Him and the board of directors had decided that in order to reinvigorate Blas-Tech its subsidiaries had to be sold in order to refund fund the mother company. This was a common business practice.

Pharma-Tech was the first of the two Subsidiaries to be sold, it, its production centers, and anything associated with it. The Auctioneer took the stage, motioning for Alric to follow along. The young business man did so, looking decidedly more well kept than usual.

“Ladies and Gentlemen. I believe you have all been informed of the rules. This will be a blind Auction where my client will decide the top bids. You may adjust your own according do what you deem will be greater than your opponents. This is to keep the Bidding process based on your own assets, rather than attempts to outbid opponents.”

Alric simply stood next to the man and gave a slight nod.

“Let the Auction begin!”

"So that's the man of the hour, is it?" The southern drawl of the Trade Queen's coo would flow from between bright cherry lips as thick as the smoke she blew out of them. Murmurs were a flowing, and ain't no one got better ears cross the galaxy than her. One way or another, she heard just what was going down tonight -- and ahh lawdy. Someone would be fit to be tied.

Like a wamprat belly up.

A nod would be cast at her assistant, a Rutian Twi'lek by the name of Alisha'ven. Her second in command and trusted ally, there wasn't anyone else that Danger would trust with ATC or the SSB. They were both wearing their best, and nothing look finer on Danger than the hot red number she wore today.

It was a night to make statements.

"Get me all you have on Mistah Kuhn." an auburn brow would arch. In her hand she would play with the datapad that would enter her encrypted bid.

So the vultures were circling. Danger would think in amusement. Then again, this is what she did. It was all part of the game, and to be frank one she enjoyed.

Rave Merrill's name was now labeled as the top bidder. No surprise. A favorite of the Trade Queen as well as a fellow business associate of Tion, Danger held a soft spot for the woman. However, business was business.

She would put the thin white cigarillo in between full lips, letting it hang limply while the low murmur of the crowd would surround her. A nod to Alisha'ven for a drink would see her with a full cup of Whyren's best. Afterall, it wasn't a party if the Corellian liquor wasn't part of the equation.

A look down at her datapad would cause her to mull over. She knew how these blind auctions went. It was all a matter of mind games. Of figuring out just what an object is worth and what one expects competitors to be willing to offer.

Tap tap tap. There came an adjustment.

The bids came in slowly, they always did during a blind auction.

This was mostly because it had a certain lack of competition. It drove people to guessing what they thought they could offer instead of trying to beat everyone else. It also prevented last minute high bids and a multitude of other problems. One could have argued that Blas-Tech would receive less capital gain this way, but that wasn't necessarily true.

He smiled slightly when two of the newest bids came in. [member="Rave Merrill"], then only a few minute later [member="Danger Arceneau"]. Those names he knew well, and although he didn't spot Rave Merril within the crowd, it was very difficult to miss Danger Arceneau. She was wearing a bright red dress, her hair tied up and her back straight.

From beneath his sunglasses he looked at her, a permanent look of self satisfaction on his face.

He had heard rumors of Danger Arceneau, the woman that everyone seemed to permanently be chasing. From Humans to Hutts, everyone seemed to want a piece of Danger. She was striking, that was certainly true, she caught the eye of every man who looked passed her. Though then again, so did a Gamorrean wearing a thong.

Briefly Alric wondered if there lay anything beneath the surface, or if beauty really was only skin deep.

Meanwhile...

Citrine eyes would give a dazzling smile at a man with striking black hair. Target acquired. In the dim light, she partially lifted the black veil which obscured her eyes, and shot him a look of frank interest. His gaze heated.

Of course, she proposed nothing. He did. They always did. And she accepted, as she always did.

Ten minutes later the thud of her back against door would come next. Her teeth would bite down in anticipation at the fullness of her lower lip, her pheromones blazing as the love drunk male would get oh so handsy.

"Nah ah ah, lover." crimson hands would drift over to get a firm grip. "Not out in public... what would the respectable patrons say..." A throaty giggle would follow. Again, the lifted shoulder. The coy, sidelong glance.

"Perhaps... you've an office, no?"

He would bring her to his office, the label over his door Hydian's Auction House. Owner.

Hook, line, and sinker.

Alisha would work on getting through various contacts to get more information on Alric Kuhn. But this was just one piece of the puzzle. She was also working on expanding more of Browncoat arms, Mara Tibx & fuels, and Haven Shipyard locations. Mining interests were now focused on collecting various crystals and gems.

Specifically on the list was buying a recent surveyed location to mine Gabonna memory crystals. Also on the list were Anothian living crystals, Artusian crystals, and Empeth crystals. A survey into Yavin would hopefully lead to the acquisition of a smaller corseca mine from the asteroid fields.

A small beep from her datapad sent her updated information. Her brows rose. She offered the datapad to danger for her to review.

The auction was extending on.

There hadn't been that many bids, but the ones he had received were more than worthwhile. Everything that had been offered to him was worth more than Pharma-tech in his eyes. The company was a money maker to be sure, but Blas-Tech would be more served with different assets. Alric knew that, and so id the board.

He wondered if the next auction would be like this. His eyes scanned across the room, and he smiled slightly as he noticed an absence. His arm came up and flickered to the chrono. The auction would be done in a short few, and after that he had other business to attend to.

Alric's gaze flickered to Danger again, hidden behind his glasses.

She was currently in the lead. Her bid putting her above the last, if only by a small margin. He smiled slightly, then cast a glanced towards the bidding board, where the names of the people throwing in goods were posted.

Danger took the datapad in hand. Her vibrant emerald eyes would sweep over the information. No, there had to be more than that.

"Get in contact with the Bothan Network. They owe me one." she'd say under her breath, her fingers skimming over the rest of the update information about the surveys. Mara TibX surveyors were to continue their charting and mineral testing on neutral and within territories that held current contracts with Arceneau Trade Company. This would help bring in more cash for the local economy because they were quick to hire locals to help out with the mining operations once the survey report came in and her finance department could go around buying the permits and the land.

She was to get back the information about getting a contract with the Tumani. ATC had recently dispatched a scouting merchant group to get in contact with that planet. With luck, there was more profit to be made by bringing the world into the greater trade routes.

There wasn't much to do at an auction like this. Stand around, grab a drink, maybe some food. Of course Alric didn't do any of those things, especially not the drinking part. He was tragically allergic to the stuff, it wouldn't kill him, but other things would happen that weren't really a lot of fun.

He frowned slightly.

Waiting.

He hated waiting. Always had and always would. Of course at least there were things to look at. Up on this stage he got quite the view of the auction room as well as everything inside, and everyone inside. It seemed that only beautiful people ever attended auctions, maybe because the ugly ones were usually thrown out.

He grinned at that thought, yes that was likely it.

AUCTION HOUSE BACKROOMS

A laugh then a low murmur. The sound of a zipper unzipping. A throaty chuckle then a gasp. Enter the sweep of a lamp and papers sliding across a desk and their subsequent clatter to the floor.

It was all in a day's work. But it didn't mean one couldn't have a little fun.

The scratch of her nails would come there after -- and with them a lovely little toxin known as SmartTranq. His heavy body would flop on top of XoChitl within minutes, but not out of a little death.

Shrugging him off, XoChitl would set down the slumbering owner of the Auction house upon his chair.

"Nighty night love." she'd pat his cheek, before swiveling over to his datacomputer. A survey and quick inspection meant that this one held a biometic security system. Finger print to be exact.

"Just need to borrow this.." she told the snoring male, taking up his hand and pressing it down to the scanner. A small confirming beep would follow.
"Perfect."

In the back of his mind he wondered how she was faring. Alric already knew she would get the job done, she would always get the job done. That was why he payed her, why he trusted her. He frowned slightly though as his eyes cast towards the timer of the auction itself.

It was nearly up.

When it was done the transaction would all be taken care of via the auction house itself. He would have no interaction with Danger or anyone else that bid, and they would not be able to seek him out, at least not in this place. That was the benefit of choosing such an esteemed place to hold the auction in, the separation of bidders and sellers was strong, and though they could see him, talking to him was a whole other game.

Still, some of them were quite tempting.

Maybe a few pieces of flimsy slipped into coat pockets...

[member="Danger Arceneau"] Has won the auction
IC:
Alric looked at the board, it seemed that madam Arceneau had won the bidding. He smiled slightly, and cast a glance towards her in the audience. She looked pleased with herself, though it was the exact same expression that she had held the entire time she had been in here. Part of him wasn't surprised in the least, in fact he had come to expect it of her, though he knew nothing of the actual woman in the dress.
The Dress itself told a story.
Alric leaned over and whispered something in the auctioneers ear.
The man looked at him with an odd expression, but then nodded. Alric smiled, then cast a look out into the audience again before he slowly turned about and walked off the stage. He had his money, his stock, and everything else that Danger had thrown his way. It was only right that she would get what she bid for, plus a little present.
He smirked.

Time would be spent talking back and forth with Alisha'ven. Not only on the details of Mr. Kuhn's life, but over the various prospects with business. This was just one of many steps, but it was a start. Breaking into actually mining these gems and crystals will amount to a new venture in capital and the ability for Arceneau Trade and SSB to provide new systems with goods. Haven Shipyards would be able to produce more ships for those out in the fringe worlds, and a few small donations here and there gave her good PR.

This also would provide survey information about green efforts for Judah Dashiell. The more worlds she could chart and the more technology she could get access to, whether in new energy sources to give a smaller carbon footprint or new medicines, it was all for a good reason.

Minutes would go by along with drink. Finally, the clock struck the appointed hour and Danger found herself smugly smiling as a toast would rise.

One step at a time daddy. Your little girl has come this far.

One step at a time.
