Gwyneira still had no idea how to truly relax.
She was currently in the master bedroom, laboring over her her stun/ ion pistol that Jenn Kryze had shot out of her hand and broken.
That kriffing self righteous nerf herder...
Gwyn scowled, still trying to focus on the datapad audio of Mandalorian History playing in the background. Gwyneira had never stopped learning the ways of the Vod, despite feelings of discouragement and isolation. Being a Foundling, adopted by Kranak Vizsla, had certainly returned a sense of vigor.
Adopted. She was his... daughter. As much as bitterness still throttled with her fragile heart, she felt such a deep, purer emotion being called someone's daughter. Being able to call someone "father." She still teared up, still found herself just standing or sitting in random places struggling to process it. She had been cast aside and ignored by her mother, disowned and disgraced by her biological father. For someone else to take her in... Perhaps, she was not as lost as she thought she was. She certainly felt appreciative, and she felt the tiniest sense of value. She had been filled with bitterness and resentment towards him before, but now she felt drawn to Kranak and once again admired him. Even more than ever, she felt close to him, despite the spite inside. She was someone's
child! She was adopted! She could scream in joy and cry in bewilderment. She was so confused, feeling beauty and rage all at the same time.
Determined to make up her mistake in the coffee shop to Kranak, and to make him proud, Gwyneira had been delving deeper into her studies and training harder. She still struggled to wake up everyday, and she still felt hurt and wary of both Kranak and Eliz, yet she actually started to feel something aside a lame lack of emotion or endless bitter agony again. She felt like she was truly building towards something again. She was motivated for the first time since Eliz first came home with late news of his arm.
As much as she still struggled to find the energy, as much as she was terrified of further rejection and treatment as an outcast, as much as she hated Jenn's guts, she at least was starting to get better.
As she continued to work, she continued to listen to the Mandalorian texts. She still felt lightyears away from becoming Vod, and she still wondered if it would be worth it after everything she had been put through here. Yet, she still found herself trying. That must have meant something, right?
