:::: INCOMING TRANSMISSION ::::
AUREK-0001 ENCRYPTION_OPEN MESSAGE
EMERGENCY FREQUENCY

Origin: Cattamascar System
Sender: E. Mifune, Captain, Eternal Navy
Verification: Successful

Subject: -/-
Message: [transcribed verbal impulse, '[...]' marks distortion]

"We [...] attack! Requiring support! [...] League raiders! I repeat [...] by raiders! Requesting immediate [...]!"

The transmission was forwarded to general fleet command and rated as verified attack by pirates or raiders on a colony in the Cattamascar System. Considered close to Kalidan and part of our sphere of influence, the Fleet High Command dispatched a task force of the Eternal Navy to report and deal with the situation.

The sender, Captain Esme Mifune, is another relatively new addition to the roster of the Eternal Navy and was tasked with patrol duty in the system on his frigate, ENS Respite. There has been no contact with the ship and crew since the emergency message was sent.

A manned response was favored over dispatching the Eternal Fleet both as a show of competence as well as training for the mortal crews. Mission parameters define to eliminate any threat, recover any imperial assets and protect the local populace. The Eternal Navy units are assembled ad-hoc and will perform a coordinated operation to achieve all mission goals.

Through loyalty our duty is its own reward.

Upon arrival it is obvious that a small warband of the Athysian League has entered the system and started raiding the planetary colony. Despite their silence for more than two decades, these marauders seem to have survived the end of the Maw and are keen on restoring some of their old, twisted glory. Mad cultists, twisted mutants and savage pirates they are, but nevertheless organised.

Break their fleet, destroy as many ships as you can and if possible, send a relief force through the blockade to the surface to help the colony. STRATCOM has given intel that the colony had been equipped with some armory and weaponry for self-defence, secure it!

Evident by the amount of escorts and the reported stream of landing craft and shuttles to the flagship, the enemy has taken prisoners and history has shown that these people will never see the light of day or indeed any joy in their lives again if not freed.
Further more the commander of the raider fleet is notorious from several campaigns from many years ago and infamous for her brutality and barbaric nature, even among the marauders. Take her out or even prisoner for Blackwatch to interrogate her, to find the base of operations of these savages.

Board the flagship, rescue the prisoners and fight the marauder warlord!

It was somewhat unusual, but considering she had her duty as a rapid response fleeter, it didn't bother Commodore Nargath too much to be going head first towards the location which had been given through the strangely open-com transmission she picked up. Verifying the codes and checking in with the Admiralty didn't take that long, considering the validity of the message and the apparent urgency.

Upon their Arrival at the location though, Gussy's hands gripped tight around the railing surrounding the viewports within the command deck. Through her red goggles she could see the sight unfolding in space and to her own surprise, what she saw actually got her to lose not just her cool, but also her grit for a bit. "The madness of the maw be damned."

She was clearly pissed as she turned on her comms, nodding at Lieutenant Damar who quickly opened up the secure channels with every other ship within the fleet.

"The Angron will take point, Oberon, you follow in my trail," Peering through the viewports, the woman let out a grunt, motioning towards one of her ensigns at the controls to keep her up to speed.

"Commodore, I'm counting six...seven, nine...a total of around twenty vessels, mainly cruisers and corvettes," The ensign nodded when she noticed how the Commodore stared her down with a fury only a hardened veteran could display.

"Move the Balerion and the Cavilrine to our left, with the Trimerta and Trifronte on the right, form a reverse wedge," Turning towards her own crew, the Commodore was quick to make it clear that she wanted this to be done with precision and logic, to not allow dogmatic desires for glory or pointless heroism to jeopardize this mission. "Warm up the Rail guns and the IPC's, I want all Turbo lasers spreading their fire in a concentrated wave of fifteen degrees. Have Athena prep the missiles, I want the short burst projectiles loaded and primed for firing at my command."

Gussy knew that with the numbers she had, she was in a slight disadvantage, but she couldn't risk deploying her fighters just yet, she had to draw in the enemy, make them notice her and her fleet and make sure they'd have enough confidence to try and creep up on her. "Come on you bastards...come get some."

Another job, this time finally one that really suits me. I didn't take it on as a bounty hunter, because I couldn't have taken it on as the head of House Orchid. As a bounty hunter, I live by a code that I do not kill or capture women, I only hunt men. But, as a Mandalorian, I had to protect my clan and my men. I have worked hard enough to make the clan prosper and get it to where it is today. I didn't want to put them in danger, and I didn't want to put the places where we lived in danger. That's why I was here, and of course it didn't hurt to go out in the field sometimes.

Okay, that's not entirely true, because I often went out in the field because I loved it, but basically I was a scout and not some super commando or something like that. Even though it had been a long time since I had hunted down Kralmus Orr Kralmus Orr on Exegol, I still had PTSD about him and I still felt that I had changed and broken something in me during the fight with him. Which I've been trying to fix ever since, though I didn't know if it was even possible or not. But it didn't matter now, I had to concentrate on the task at hand.

These and similar thoughts were going through my mind when suddenly the boat I was in was hit by a violent jolt. We had just slammed into the enemy ship and were cutting our way through the hull to get on board. When the systems indicated that all was well and we could board the enemy ship, I put on my helmet and stood up from my seat. We were the first to get here. It was a game of chance, either the pod was shot or it wasn't. We were lucky this time, so now we could focus on the task at hand. I took my two pistols in my hands and started forward.

"Come on, let's do the job we were sent here to do." I said encouragingly to those with me.

But now the task was still the most important. While there were probably others here whose armour or beskar'gam was more protective than mine, I needed lighter armour for reconnaissance. So I was the first one out of the pod and into the corridor of the ship. Our pod was wedged in so tightly that not even the air escaped from the damage. The corridor where we arrived was empty, but the sound of the alarm could be heard. If it was a standard ship and they were selling a lot of them, I tried to get the plans through MANIAC to see exactly where the bridge was, because the commander was probably there.

If I didn't have that kind of luck, I could only get my bearings from what we saw while we were coming here, the direction of the front of the boat and where the supposed bridge might be. Be it either, I did not want to wait in this place for the enemy to arrive. So I headed to the left, where the bridge might be.
