STRENGTHS
  • Screams on the Wind - Not only capable of protecting its wearer’s sensitive auditory systems from sonic attack, the Bloodflower Sapphire has a sound dampening overlay which is tuned to defend against sonic waves, especially those which might otherwise cause internal damage. In this regard, while it is not immune, the Bloodflower Sapphire offers a very robust defense against sonic weaponry, allowing Lucia to withstand these attacks to a limited degree.
  • Storm Dancer - The Bloodflower Sapphire is hardened against Ion and EMP-based assaults, allowing it to maintain a high degree of reliability under conditions of interference which might otherwise disable much of its electronics, while also protecting its gynoid wearer.
  • Energy Aegis - With its gammaplast-integrum armorweave and miniaturized conformal shield projectors, the Bloodflower Sapphire offers Lucia an incredible degree of defense against energy weapons, up to and including disruptors, particle beams, and other powerful energy weapon classes.
  • Flower Armor - Owing to the incorporation of Norris root dye and miniaturized conformal shield projectors, the Bloodflower Sapphire offers a high degree of protection against lightsabers.
  • Kinetic Armor - In spite of the Bloodflower Sapphire’s graceful appearance, it is very robust in defending against kinetic attacks.
  • Wallflower - Featuring an integrated Taozin skin nodule, a cloaking device, a stealth camouflage coating, along with other systems, the Bloodflower Sapphire offers Lucia an unparalleled degree of stealth, allowing her to in many respects, hide within plain sight.
WEAKNESSES
  • Acerbic Affliction - Unfortunately, acid weapons are very effective at eating through the protective material to harm the wearer directly, potentially inflicting a host of dangerous effects.
  • Mechanical Mutation - While lacking some of the more demanding systems present in most First United Astral Engineering armor models, the Bloodflower Sapphire still has a degree of advanced technology and automation. A skilled practitioner of Mechu-deru could feasibly disable these systems and put the wearer at a disadvantage, provided that they have a clear line of sight to the bodysuit.
  • Neck Piece - The neck piece houses sensitive electronics, defensive projectors, and other support systems. While resilient, damage to this part could compromise these functions, leaving Lucia deprived of head protection.
  • Weaponized Radiation - While the Bloodflower Sapphire is capable of shielding against background radiation in the environment, it does a poor job at staving off weaponized radiation, due to it being far more concentrated than radiation in an environment or a vacuum.
  • Metal Chill - The Bloodflower Sapphire’s ability to defend against cold-based weapons leaves much to be desired. If struck, such weapons will likely inflict severe, freezing effects upon Lucia’s gynoid chassis.
DESCRIPTION
The protective combat ensemble of an assassin gynoid, Bloodflower Sapphire was commissioned to better accommodate a more conventional, if inelegant, approach to combat. With her duties becoming increasingly violent and her programming more honed with experience, Lucia gradually began to decrease her usage of katanas and other bladed weaponry in favor of guns and explosives (while not outright abandoning the former options)—an arguably more practical option for a gynoid often tasked with hunting dangerous quarry. Naturally, the Bloodflower Sapphire takes on a more practical, yet sleek aesthetic in taking the form of a bodysuit. Like any First United Astral Engineering product, the ensemble is replete with technology, offering Lucia a number of features to better serve her in the field.

All in all, the Bloodflower Sapphire is a sleek, yet practical combat bodysuit, designed to optimize the hyper-lethal capabilities of its synthetic wearer.
