Blooding the New Guy (Lurcano vs Genu)

Genu stepped into the the open room slowly, He wasn't all that excited by the limitations of the fight, but he wasn't one to complain. He unbuckled his belt and pulled his wrap off, throwing them into one of the corners. He would need the mobility and the freedom that not wearing the wrap would give him in this fight.

He pulled down the hood to his jacked and began to stretch until his opponent arrived. He wasn't worried about being stiff, it was just something to pass the time and he used the stretching to focus his thoughts. Jedi were known to meditate to focus, Genu preferred to stretch as he focused his thoughts, the familiar movement helping him prepare for the chaotic violence ahead.

He closed his eyes as he flowed between stretches, feeling the room around him and allowing himself to become one with the force. He knew he couldn't use his force abilities in the fight, but no one said he couldn't use it to center himself. He felt good, it hadn't been away from Nar Kreeta for long and he remembered very well the thrill of single combat, and he relished the idea of testing himself here. He was out to impress and he knew that a win would do just that.

He stood and waited, knowing that [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] would be here soon.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano entered the Fight Club, wearing his customary black combat pants, and his black compression shirt. He'd spent a lot of time in the Fight Club ever since he'd joined the Ravens; and he was yet to lose a match. He didn't plan on today being his first. He was going to be fighting someone new to the organization. He had been the first to volunteer to break the new blood in. 'Let's see how tough this mother karker thinks he is.'

His eyes fell upon Genu, who was in the middle of the ring doing the customary stretches. 'Fair enough, good to see this kid isn't entirely clueless.' Lurcano hoped the railing and stepped inside the ring. He had already stretched before coming in to the ring and he was ready to show the new recruit how an experienced fighter does it.

Lurcano Car'dann: Lurcano rolled his shoulders in his sockets, and took a deep breath. 'Everything seems to be in order then, good.' "Alright buddy, let's get this started. To reiterate the rules. No force, no cybernetic enhancements, no weapons. Other then that, everything goes. Got it? Good. Now come at me mother karker." Lurcano lifted up his hands in a ready position. He was ready for anything this kid could pull out, or so Lurcano told himself.

Genu saw the man hop down into the ring and he tilted his head. This man was obviously very comfortable with the arena and his stance and the way he walked showed that he as a very confident and skilled opponent. His eyes didn't betray anything about the man except confidence. Confident opponents were always the tougher than the ones that were timid, but they were likely to become cocky and make a mistake during the fight. Genu knew that he just needed to stay in the fight until he saw the moment to exploit.

He stood and bowed slightly to [member="Lurcano Car'dann"], being smart enough to not take his eyes off of the man as he did. He smiled slightly at the words that the Lurcano was saying, the talk was all about establishing dominance even before the fight began, it was something Genu was well used to. He had once been the type of fighter to talk trash before fights, but he wanted people to underestimate him and think that they had the advantage.

"Be careful what you wish for." Genu replied as he shot forward, his hands striking outward for a quick combination, left-right, strike at Lurcano's head. He didn't expect the attacks to hit, he was only gauging his reactions and how he would move.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano stood in his ready stance as the rookie approached him. His eyes remained fixated at the mans hips, as he watched him move. Many people didn't know where to look in a fight. A common misconception claimed you need to stare straight into their eyes. That was a fallacy. Eyes can lie, feet can lie. But the hips. The hips can't lie. Whatever direction they're going, is the direction the legs are going. Is the strength of the punch. Everything. The hips don't lie.

As soon as Genu got within range, and threw his punches; Lurcano moved into action. Instead of dodging the punches which were obviously meant for spacing, Lurcano stepped inside and shot straight for the mans legs.

If Lurcano managed to get underneath the blows and grab the mans legs, he would lift him off the ground and put his weight on top of him. All 230 pounds of it. Upon getting on top of the man, he would move to straddle him and let loose a flurry of punches aimed towards the mans face and temple meant to incapacitate or even knock the other man out.

((OOC: Sorry about the link. As soon as I finished typing that, I just couldn't help it. But it's meant to be taken a 100% seriously, I promise.))

Genu wasn't worried about the lack of movement by Lurcano, but he wasn't expecting the man to duck under the punches and grab him around the waist. He was lifted into the air by the larger man and he knew he was gonig to land hard on the ground. He allowed himself to exhale as his body loosened up for the impact. He hit harder that he expected but ht wasn't phased by it, He knew what the next attack would be and he wrapped his arms around [member="Lurcano Car'dann"]'s left arm, his main focus was to pull him close and not allow him to get any leverage for the impacts that he couldn't stop from the right arm.

The move was designed mostly to give Lurcerno as few options for attacks as possible, making him break away from their position. Genu had a very good idea what to expect now from his opponent, and was going to be prepared for it in the future. The few attacks that did manage to connect hurt, but he was going to hold out as he applied arm lock, trying to keep this fight going for as long as possible.

( no worries, well placed and completely true, and funny as heck )

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano grunted, as he slammed into the floor. The impact jarred him, though he didn't feel much pain. As he straddled Genu, he moved to start punching him and in Lurcanos mind the fight was already over. That was until the young duelist grabbed his left arm and clutched it close to his body. Curses resounded out across the arena as Lurcano struggled to rip his arm away from Genu's grip but was unable to, due to his seated position.

'Maybe this kid isn't completely clueless. That's a damn good move.' Despite it however, Lurcano wasn't ready to let go of his advantage just yet. He had him right where he wanted and he was willing to do whatever he needed to do so he could achieve victory. His right arm was free, and he used that to maintain leverage; as Lurcano prepared to execute what he was planning.

Rearing back slightly, Lurcano brought his head forward towards Genu's nose in one sharp motion; making sure to use the hardest part of his head which was the top of his cranium. He repeated this motion several times hoping to cause some sort of trauma or even break the mans nose all the while alternating a right hook here or there.

Genu was hoping that his hold would have worked better but after taking the first right hook, he knew that he would have to execute better if he wanted to win this fight. He let the first head strike through, he turned his head slightly , taking the brunt of the hit on his cheek. the hit jarred him but he remained focused. He could feel the blood rushing towards the spot of the impact and he knew he would be bleeding before long. He took another right hook to the face and he could taste the blood in his mouth. He let one more head strike in as he judged the timing of [member="Lurcano Car'dann"]'s attacks. The next time he threw the right hook, Genu let his right arm loose of the hold on Lurcano's left arm and reaches out to lock up his right arm. Wit hboth arms locked in place he had the leverage to break out. If this doesn't work, I'll be out cold before I can think of anythnig else to do.

The next time Lurcano pushed forward for a head strike, Genu would use the little bit of leverage he had to push with his legs and raising up with his hips (because hips don't lie), hopefully pushing his opponent too far forward and flipping him over and off of him. If successful Genu would have given himself enough space to get some separation from Lurcano.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano grunted as his momentum was suddenly shifted from the mans body. His eyebrows went up in a surprised fashion as he was forced to roll off of the prone figure of Genu. He rolled into a standing position, unhurt but startled. 'He just keeps on surprising me god damn it. I can't let that chit happen again.'

He turned, and raced towards Genu once more who would hopefully still be getting up from his position and moved to throw out a quick and sharp knee towards the mans face which would ideally be at around the level of his waist.

Lurcanos breaths were coming out ragged, and he was already tired out from everything he had done. He hoped to end the fight as quickly as possible right now before conditioning became a factor in the fight.

[member="Genu Kudd"]

Genu shook his head and blinked as he quickly tried to get to his feet, the quick and violent movement of [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] surprised him, he saw the attack coming, but he was still not recovered from the previous attacks. He brought his hands up to block the knee.

The sheer force and momentum of the attack pushed his hands back, adding another rough hard surface to the front side of the knee, making the impact just a brutal as intended. Genu fell back and landed hard on the ground, his breath knocked from his lungs. He sat up and shook his head, he could feel blood running down his face from a cut on his forehead, but he stood again anyway. He blinked a few times to clear his glazed eyes and he was standing with a slight sway to him, but he was awake and he could still stand, and as long as he could do those two things, he would continue to fight. He looked up at Lurcano and waved him forward, " Fight ain't over yet." He said as he spit out a small amount of blood onto the floor.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
As the man claimed the fight wasn't over, Lurcano couldn't help but smile. 'Well chit, he actually thinks I backed off because I didn't want to hurt him.' The truth was, Lurcano had stopped his assault because he needed to catch his breath. Muscle was heavy, and Lurcano certainly had a lot of it. That made him tire more easily then some of his slimmer counterparts.

Lurcano watched the man stand up and spit some blood out the corner of his mouth. Towards the back of his mind, he couldn't help but think. 'He's got balls. I'll give him that.' The more he saw of this fellow, the more he liked him. But that wasn't going to stop him from bashing the kids head in. He raised his arms and approached once more.

Lurcano quickly closed the distance, and used his superior range to get a wide variety of punches off. He started his assault off by skirting towards the left, using his speed and momentum to add even more strength to his punch as he turned his hips. He would then follow this up with a series of lefts, and rights with the odd uppercut mixed in. All the while, he left himself fairly exposed. He wanted to finish this fight as quickly as possible, so he ignored his own protection while he swung recklessly. Each punch though, would have a lot of power and force behind them.

Genu sighed as the man approached, he was beginning to tire and the fight was going to be over very quickly if he didn't do something drastic. He let [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] approach and as he remembered the man doing, he let him close slightly before shooting forward timing his movement to make sure he didn't run into an uppercut, as he planted his shoulder into Lurcano's stomach area and he would attempt to do exactly what had been done to him. He put all of his remaining force into the move, pushing up and grabbing the man by the waist with his arms.

He had turned off his mind, all of his worries and the pain in his body was gone, the only thing that mattered was the move, he had put everything into the move and he was completely helpless as he shot forward. If he managed to get the move off he knew he could begin to rain blows down on Lurcano with ease.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
Lurcano approached the man, his fists up and his guard. He sensed the man was weak, and he'd taken shots that would usually be enough to knock out the regular guy on the street. 'Poor kid, he's done.' That was why the move executed by him caught Lurcano completely off guard. As Genu shot towards his legs, Lurcano only had time for one thought to register through his brain before he would have to act. 'Kark.'

As Lurcano felt himself being lifted off the ground, his training kicked in. One of the pros of taking Gammorean Wrestling classes on his home planet of Nagi, was that he knew his way around the proverbial mat; or in this case the arena. Lurcnao turned his hips so that he would land on his stomach looking at the ground. He would then quickly prop himself back up into a position so that he would appear to be seated on the back of his heels.

(I'm the guy in the black. Ignore the red.)
The tables had turned as Genu began to slam fury of blows on Lurcanos unprotected head. Shots of pain fluttered all across his skull, and he bucked like a mad bronco; trying to shake the man off. Suddenly, time seemed to slow down and Lurcano was able to think of a plan. Unlikely as it was, he would give it a shot.

Lurcano would suddenly leap forward, moving to get away. He hoped that Genu would try to hold on, and keep his advantage. If not he would simply get up and turn to face him. If he hung on, Lurcano would then execute the next part of his plan. He would move to grab Genu's arm by the elbow which would be rapped around his waist presumably trying to hold him back and he would quickly turn his body away from Genu; hopefully dragging his arm with him, and with the arm the body.

If his attempt succeeded, Lurcano would move back into his previous position where he straddled the mans waist and would continue to hammer a series of blows and head butts meant to knock him the kark out.

[member="Genu Kudd"]

Genu finally felt that the fight was going his way. He was landing solid blows on [member="Lurcano Car'dann"], he had him at an advantage, even if he wasn't in the position he was expecting. He wasn't an expert on grappling and wrestling, but you didn't survive as a fighter without knowing how to do a little bit of everything.

The next move surprised Genu, the man was obviously an expert wrestler and his experience was beginning to give him the edge that Genu feared it would. He tried to hold on as Lurcano leapt forward, he tried to muscle the man back into place, but he just didn't have the strength or the skill to hold the upper hand.

Before he could slip away his arm was locked up tightly and he was on bis back again, his opponent one again pounding him from above. Genu knew the fight was over, he wasn't afraid to lose to a more skilled opponent, especially one that was as skilled as Lurcano was. He held up his hands and sighed, " OK, OK. You've won this." Genu hoped that it would be enough to show the man that he was done, if not he would end the match in a way that would likely get him in trouble.

Lurcano Car'dann

"Kark you, I won't do what you tell me."
As the man underneath him choked out his surrender. Letting out a satisfied grunt, he rolled off of him and stood up. He backed away and leaned against the railing all the while his eyes never left Genu who was working his way back up off the ground. 'Someone I can work with, I like this new recruit. He blew my expectations out the water.'

Lurcano Car'dann: Finally, after several minutes passed and Lurcano had fully caught his breath he cleared his throat and said; "You're not bad kid. If you ever want any combat training, not just hand to hand. Don't hesitate to ask me. You have the potential to go far, as long as you keep your head out of your ass and follow orders. Bah! I'm sure you'll be fine though. Tell me, where did you learn to fight? You've already got a pretty solid base established especially for one as young as you who just joined our organization.

Genu was content to lay on the ground and bleed for a minute, his chest moving up and down the only indication that he was alive. it had need a long time since he had been beaten so handily, sure he had gotten some hits in, but the fight wasn't even really in doubt. His opponent had taken the upper hand from the beginning and his advantage with grappling had left Genu at a loss on how to counter everything. Genu was much more comfortable with swords and it showed in how badly he had been outclassed. He sat up and wiped the blood from his face, his only consolation was that [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] looked just as worn down as he was.

" Nar Kreeta, I spent a few years there cage fighting for the Hutts." He said between deep breaths. " I stopped two years ago and focused solely on sword duels, but even if I was in top form, you would have beaten me. You're skill with grappling is far superior to mine." With a groan he finally got up off of the floor and staggered towards Lurcano, his hand out stretched, his intention was clearly to shake his hand. " You're better than me, for now, but I'm going to be back for a rematch soon enough"

Genu Kudd: "Nar Kreeta, I spent a few years there cage fighting for the Hutts. I stopped two years ago and focused solely on sword duels, but even if I was in top form, you would have beaten me. You're skill with grappling is far superior to mine. You're better than me, for now, but I'm going to be back for a rematch soon enough."

Lurcano Car'dann: Lurcano nodded his head, thinking to himself. 'Modest but confident. I like it.' A few moments passed before something passed through Lurcano's mind that made him chuckle. 'Jeez, can you lick his nerf herder even more? Slow down a bit. Let's assess his character before we start doing anything to drastic.'

"Don't worry about it. I've been doing this for a while now, and I even had some training back on my home planet of Nagi. You're coming along. If you ever need any help when it comes to hand to hand combat or even knives and small blades. I'm your guy. You just made friends with the Sgt-At-Arms. Do well by me, and I will certainly do well by you my friend."

[member="Genu Kudd"]

Genu nodded as [member="Lurcano Car'dann"] finished speaking, it as always a good idea to make friends with the people who had already handed you a stomping. He likes the man and was glad that he had signed up for the fight, but he knew who to avoid for the time being. " Thanks, I appreciate the offer. It does seem that i need to work on my hand to hand combat some more, perhaps when there is some downtime we can do a bit of training." He said. he could feel the welts starting to form on his face, and his back was beginning to stiffen up from the punishment he had taken, he would need a hot bath and a few days of rest to get back to full form. " If you don't mind, I think I'll go bleed in the showers now. Nice meeting you, I hope the next time we cross paths it's at the casino or something, and not in a place where you intend on beating the hell out of me"

He turned and headed for the showers, stopping only to grab the rest of his clothing before he was out of the arena.
