- Primary Terrain: Mountains, plataeus, cities
- Atmosphere: Type I
- Major Locations:
- Sanguine Basilica
- The seat of the Anarch and home of the newly established central government of the Sanguine Worlds. The archtiecture is held in a pragmatic gothic style, with obvious cruel influences. Sculptures and paintings of torture, pain and horrors can found. Just as at most official buildings. This government district holds the bureaucracy of this new realm, the head administration, the military command and an own little starport.
- Mortus
- The grand arena of the Sanguine worlds, an amphitheatre which can hold more than two-hundred thousand people who watch the best of the sanguine worlds slaugther each other. The entire arena has many sublevels for the housing, training of the fighters, as well as armories, possibilities to change the terrain of the fighting ground and much more.
- Anfauglith Hive
- The main urban region of the planet and the largest population centre in the Sanguinity is the hive called Anfauglith. Nearly twenty million people live, dwell and die here. It is a huge city, with large sub-surface districts. The Sanguine worlds do not know criminality as a word. Their culture and ideology dictate the survival of the fittest, strongest, fastest and best. Killing, stealing, raping, looting or razing are common and nothing 'bad' for the pure-ones.
POPULATION
- Native Species: Human, Chiss, Zeltron and Pau'an
- Immigrated Species: Many
- Population: Moderately Populated (all planets of the system)
- Demographics: Dominant species are humans and near-humans, though one-fourth of the population are serfs, slaves and the sort of.
- Primary Languages: Sanguine Tongue
- Culture: The Sanguine World are savage. Civil order, laws, manners, restraint, clamness, friendlyness, morale - are totally unknown to them. Their society is based on the idea of the survival of the best. Killing, stealing, plundering are usual ways to improve one owns situation. The elementary part of the culture is to fight. Before the reforms of the curretn Anarch, this was their sport as well. Arena fighting still is an elementary part of their culture and victorious pit fighters are seen as top-class VIPs. Their arts are very savage and barbarian, though very diverse as well. Their architecture goes for a very gothic style, yet pragmatic, while keeping a high percentage of art in it. Showing torture, blood, cruelty - victory is what the element of every piece of art has. They see art as to be recognised with all senses. Seeing, smelling, touching, feeling or hearing. This can be equally disgusting, terrorising and overwhelming for each and all senses of the unwary. Their faith is as simple as their lifes, win. Their believe is to satisfy the will of victory with blood, fire and torment of the defeated. Once fighting each other, their First Prophet, the Anarch, set a new diection for this faith - not to focus on each other, but uniting and spreading this faith or annihilating the resistance.
GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
- Government: Absolutistic, theocratic kraterocracy
- Affiliation: Sanguinity
- Wealth: Low. The lacking of serious focus on the realm-wide level for industry, trade and economic development makes the Sanguine worlds not very wealthy. They produce, loot or trade what they need to survive.
- Stability: The Sanguine worlds feature a very high stability in itself, their allignment to their doctrine as well as the personal cult towards their ruler is extreme. Yet this place is everything but safe, especially for outsiders. One who cannot defend himself should not dare to visit any of these places or will be confronted with the risk of beign killed for the cloak you wear or the simple desire to kill or even to be enslaved.
- Freedom & Oppression: While bieng anarchistic, everyone knows that there is a greater good and a central goverment which has to be obeyed. It is a strange and uncommon development, but it is a working one. The extreme authority presented by the superiors is accepted without hesitation.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
- Military: The Sanguinity just recently got a standing army and navy, the Sanguine Band. Though before they were anything but defenceless. The culture of warriors, fighters and gladiators features a strong militarisation of the sociery, though not a very organised one. The masses which can be activated to help defending the place are equally capable as vulnerable.
- Technology: A little bit lower than average. Interstellar travel is and was known for a long time, but largely ignored. The weapons of choice are melee weapons, but ranged weapons are well spread. The ship designs are crude, but effective.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The lack of dedicated archives or rather the excess to those which exist in secrecy, makes it difficult to determine the age of the Sanguinity. Furthermore the isolationist policies of the culture and the non-interest in economic interaction give no external report of what happened when.
Yet what is known, is that they society and population dwell there for at least several millenia. How the culture has been founded, what it developed from and why it is so drastical in its views, is not comprehensible. The Sanguinity always was stellar-going and settled the worlds equally, seeing each environment as a challenge to life in itself and a possibility to develop diverse strengthes. Even while an economic ocncentration was lacking, still is, there was never a shortage of anything, at least none documented nor obvious. The people always got what they needed, by force or by trade and managed to survive. And to grow. The population count is rather high for a single, non-core system and one which is no trade hub. Congolomerated in hive cities of huge dimensions, especially going sub-surface for industry and slums, there are not many population centres, but rather big ones.
The warrior culture without any sense for mercy, morale or deference to anything but brute force and power managed to create a system full of psychopaths, monsters and ruthless horrors. Millions are entertained by the fighting pits, thousands are dieing daily on the street being overwhelmed by the survival-of-the-fittest, even more are born into what would be considered poverty, cruelty and barbarian by most of the galaxy.
In the past decade a self-awareness as a united culture developed under the reign of the Anarch. Focusing their strength projection not towards each other anymore, but towards the rest of the Galaxy. Conquering nearby systems, bringing them close to collapse, enslaving and indoctrinating them.
