Blue and Red makes Purple, Right? (Ballen-Ist)

Yuuthayn Di'cantos

The Perfect Hiding Place is in Plain Sight
Yep. This was definitely the one. I hadn't been on Taris for two weeks just to piddle around. I was shadowing a spice broker for some Republic agent who couldn't do it themself. So far, he'd done nothing to suggest he was my target. Well, until he slipped a bribe to a store clerk to start letting him sell his "goods" to people in the alleyway next to the shop.

I was wearing a new face; A particularly lovely Zeltron girl that I liked to call "Suki". Anyway, I was leaning up against the alley wall, observing him as casually as anyone else would be, all the while planning how best to incapacitate him without drawing any unwanted attention and get him back to my ship so I could get my credits. My Force senses were telling me something was off, but I was too focused on my job to care.

Taris, a planet of great significance to Ballen-Ist. All of the problems and challenges he had faced so far, could all be traced back to this singular planet. Having emerged from one of the underground tunnel systems that led deep into the planet's lower levels, the Sith would brush the dust from his dark cloak, as he looked around at the old, abandoned buildings that surrounded him. With a scowl dawned on his face, Ballen-Ist would set off into the distance, after examining a nearby town that seemed to be populated enough. He had been thinking for hours on end, wandering the tunnel system until he came across a specific location, where everything had started. Now that his "reminiscing" was over, the young man would leap off of the rocky, elevated terrain, sliding down to ground level at an alarming speed, as to not be noticed.

The Knight's booted feet would slam upon the dry ground, getting covered in dust as even more debris caught up with him after his ride down the cliff side. Lifting his hand once more, Ballen-Ist would brush his clothing clean, slowly beginning to walk towards the populated area, his anger manifesting into an aura of killing intent as his mind continued it's thought process. It was completely unintentional, for Ballen-Ist sometimes found it difficult to control and contain all of the dark power that resided within him. Coming upon a series of establishments, the dark figure would slip into an alleyway, not paying any mind to the various spice junkies that screamed in terror, before running away. The killing intent he possessed was real enough, though it was not specifically directed at anyone on the planet currently. Or so he thought. Emerging from the alley, Ballen's golden eyes would lift from the ground, tossing a few glances from side to side, only taking in two things of particular noteworthiness.

One, of course, was [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"], who was currently in the form of a Zeltron female, who managed to stand out thanks to her bright skin. The other, happened to be the very spice broker that she had been following, who was standing directly in front of the Sith Knight, obviously curious as to why his customers had fled. Now he knew, and also turned tail to escape. Watching the group escape, Ballen-Ist would sigh in apathy, still depressed and angered by the thoughts that traveled through his mind.

I couldn't have been in a better spot. While everyone else had been running away from a quite obviously unhappy Sith Pureblood, my man nearly collided with me. He was so rattled he didn't even take the time to apologize. I caught him by the back of his shirt as he tried to go around me. He cried out in fear as I pulled him backward and locked him into a chokehold. "P-please! Take anything you want! Just don't-"

"Sssssh.... It's alright, I have no intention of killing you. I may or may not bruise you up a little bit, but you're not on my hit list today."

He gulped, obeying. I smiled and continued to speak to him.

"Good boy. Now, I'm going to start moving, and you're going to start moving with me. If you make any indication to anyone that you're being kidnapped, I'm afraid I'll have to shut you up. Do you understand?"

He nodded, an we slowly began moving toward the alley mouth. I know knocking him out would've been so much simpler, but I enjoy a challenge every once in a while. Besides, if all else failed, he'd make a nice sheild.

The Pureblood's golden eyes would remain apathetic, a slight smirk dawning his face instead as he watched the man being manhandled. By a woman. Then again, he was probably under the influence her pheromones. The dark, ominous presence that Ballen-Ist gave off would slowly begin to fade as he lightened up, amused by the scene before him. Even so, the smirk he had dawned would disappear within moments as the young man's lips pursed, unsure of [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"]' intentions as she approached the alley's entrance. Now calm and in control, the Knight's smooth red skin would cease it's movements, his chin tendrils having previously been trembling due to the intense anger he was harboring. Still examining the approaching duo with his eyes only, Ballen-Ist's hand would lift to his waist, grasping the sheathed blade's hilt beneath his cloak cautiously, before reaching out with his mind instead.

Now using his sensing abilities, the young man could tell that the hostility coming from the Zeltron was not directed at him, instead directed towards the man she had put into a headlock. It seemed rather obvious upon second glance, though the Knight continued to wonder why she was approaching. As she got closer, Ballen's brow would furrow in approval, upon glancing over her facial features and physique briefly. She was definitely quite the looker, though the Sith still wanted to know what was going on. Once he thought about something, it was hard to get off his mind without solving. Lifting his arms, the Pureblood would draw back his hood, revealing his own features as the dark aura slowly eased it's pressure.

"What do we have here?" The youthful looking Sith would question, his eyes flaring a bright gold as he relished in the captive's terror. Perhaps he wasn't under pheromone influence after all, which was strange, to say the least.

Feth. Well, as long as the Pureblood didn't attack us, I was fairly certain we'd be alright. I stopped when we were right next to him, looking him in the eye with a massive bravado that I'd learned to master long ago.

"Just a harmless little abduction. No need to get in our way. I have a schedule to keep, and so does he."

I nudged my target's calf with my toe, and he nodded quickly. I didn't need the Force to tell me that he was about to crap his pants from all this. It was kind of funny, actually. I couldn't help but smile just a tiny bit as my currently teal eyes flicked to him before returning to the Pureblood.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The smirk would return to Ballen-Ist's face, as he felt [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"]' emotions through the force. He could tell that she was worried due to his presence, though was impressed by the way she handled it. The confidence and mild fearlessness in her outward demeanor was very admirable, for most regular folk would be screaming, running in terror from just being next to the Sith. Ballen-Ist knew that those able to fend off such an overbearing presence were worth his time, seeing as he couldn't have time with others. There was something else about this woman, too, something that struck him through the force as deceptive, though strangely familiar. Once more scanning over her energy signature, Ballen-Ist would confirm that he had never seen this female in his entire life.

Still smirking, the Knight would step to the side swiftly, waving an arm towards the alley's entrance, as if giving her permission to enter. "A harmless abduction, hm? I wonder, will what comes after this abduction be as harmless?" He questioned, obviously interested in whatever was going on. If the Zeltron disguised Shi'do decided to advance, so would Ballen-Ist, a small amount of force energy gathering in the palm of his hand as he walked beside her. The energy would quickly take shape, bursting into a small violet flame, that was rather bright despite it's size. It illuminated the alley, and path ahead. He didn't care whether or not this female wanted him to tag along, for he was going to either way.

So, the Pureblood was going to come along was he? I guess I could work with that, even if the fire in his hand was making me a bit more nervous than before. I moved my target back to his little stand and plopped him down in his chair. I leaned over the table across from him so that I was inches from his face, making sure that a good bit of cleavage was visible to him.

"Alrighty then, Mr. Hugerth. Yes, I know your name. I also know your age, where you grew up, who your parents were, and a good deal of your shady past. This is how we're going to do things. You're going to tell me everything about your spice business, right here and right now. Be good, and I'll be good to you. Does that sound alright?"

My tone was smooth and slightly seductive. I saw his eyes wander downwards from my face for a moment before he nodded in response.

"Great. First thing's first, Reif. I can call you Reif, right? Anyway, you picked up this little habit on Coruscant, did you not?"

"Y-yes. That's right."

"Mhm. Now, why is that exactly? You'd already been in jail for the past, what, four years? On charges of illegal drug trafficking and roughing up the locals. You literally just left the authorities when you diverted back to what landed you with them in the first place. I know it wasn't your choice, Reif. I know someone put you up to it. I want you to tell me who."

Reif shook his head a few seconds later, glaring at me. "I ain't sayin' nothin'! The Republic put you up to this, didn't they?! Damn scumbags! Just like them to have a schutta try and drag me back to jail AND rat people out at the same time!"

I gave him a little bit of a frustrated frown.

"Try again. And this time, lay off the name-calling."

My hand shot out, landing a powerful right hook on his jaw.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Ballen-Ist could not help but laugh to himself, as he saw the stand in which the drug dealer must have made his deals. "This is your base of operations?" the Sith would scoff, shaking his head from side to side as he watched the man get thrown into his chair. At first, the young Knight would simply post up on the alley wall, once again getting lost in his thoughts, almost feeling sorry for himself as he realized the petty situation he had gotten involved in. Just two low end nobodies, trying to make a living it seemed. He pitied them more than himself, as his golden eyes lazily drifted back to the scene, having noticed her seductive interrogation techniques. If anything was enjoyable, the Sith figured it was this, as he once more ran his eyes along her physique, before letting them drift up towards the dark sky upward.

Sensing the powerful rush of emotions from Yuuthayn Di'cantos, Ballen once more found his gaze drifting to the duo, as her fist met his face. Now getting a solid lock on her force signature, the pureblood's jaw would slowly lower in shock, his eyes widening as he pushed off the alley's wall. The Knight's booted feet would lead him to the "Zeltron," positioning his body directly behind her as he loomed menacingly. Yes, he had felt her force signature before, long ago within the Order of the Grey's temple headquarters. All he was going off was his sensing abilities, but he was sure that this individual had been within the faction's territory at one point or the other. Having watched all other members of the organization closely, specifically those that trained under Alexandra, Ballen-Ist's voice would speak up, as he demanded in a serious tone, "Who are you?"

Reif's whimpers of fear led me to turning around, only to come face-to-face with the Pureblood. Okay, that was bad. I was honestly getting a bit scared at this point. But I didn't lose focus. My form remained intact for the moment. It made me slightly shorter than him, which wasn't really helping. But I wasn't going to let some Sith push me around so easily. My surprised expression disappeared immediately as I stared defiantly into his eyes.

"I hardly see where that concerns you at the moment. My business is with him," I jerked a thumb at Reif, "not you. So just wait your turn..."

Mouthing off to a Sith probably wasn't the smartest idea in the universe, but I really wanted to get off that damn planet and forget about the lowlife squealing behind me, so I wasn't in the mood to think rationally.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Ballen-Ist would let out an audible sigh, surprised that he was unable to intimidate this one. Of course, with his sensing abilities, he could sense the fear building up within her, however it was nothing compared to Reif over there. The Sith's teeth would grit a bit in annoyance as he listened to [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"]' explanation, his gaze slowly drifting over to the spice dealer as her thumb jerked in the man's direction. After sighing, Ballen would smirk wider than before, obviously pleased by the Zeltron's reasoning and attitude, as he stepped passed her to face Reif.

Exerting a thin stream of force energy through the air, the Knight would simply stare at the spice broker, as he willed his telekinetic prowess to wrap around the man's throat, and lift him into the air. The Sith's eyes would flare a bright yellow, his gaze growing more intense as he slammed the man against the duracrete wall. Figuring that he needed to pay back the Zeltron somehow for the entertainment, Ballen-Ist would begin to speak, growling in a hushed tone to the man, "Give me the name, before I rip it from your mind." A simple warning.

My head spun around when I heard something hit the wall. Reif was suspended there like a hunting trophy, only he was writhing madly and clawing at his throat. No no NO! He was killing my paycheck! But then I heard the Pureblood asking for a name. The same name I was asking for. What the Feth?!

Reif wheezed hopelessly, appearing to be having the life squeezed out of him. Finally, a single word escaped from him. "DARENGER!"

I raised my eyebrows.

"Terion Darenger? The politician?"

Reif nodded quickly. Well, that wasn't something you heard everyday. A politician making people sell drugs. Someone was about to have a massive scandal on his hands when I got this back to my employer. I looked back at the Pureblood.

"That's all I need out of him. But I do need him alive if I want any kind of compensation for my efforts, so...."

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"... Pity." Ballen-Ist spoke briefly, releasing the telekinetic hold he had employed against Reif. The man would be dropped to the ground with little concern, as the Sith took a few steps back, giving him his space. Smiling to himself, the young Knight would turn to look at [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"], obviously content with showing up her own tactics. "You need to improve your interrogation techniques, if you want answers faster," the young man began, smirking a bit wider as he thought of something witty, "You can practice on me all you want. Really." He insisted, in a somewhat playful but mocking tone. Having gotten caught up in her pretty Zeltron looks, Ballen would slowly begin to remember why he had busted out his telekinesis in the first place.

Nonchalantly lifting an arm, the Sith would point his opened palm towards Reif, allowing another surge of force energy to be released from his body. This time it would flow along his upper limb, leaping from his finger tips as it manifested into a bright, violet bolt of lightning. The singular bolt would slam into the spice dealer, rendering him unconscious as his body fell limply onto the ground. "You have made contact with the Grey before, have you not?" Ballen would question curiously, still unable to remember seeing her around the temple. She would have definitely caught his eye, which made it all the more strange as to why he did not recognize her.

I had to smirk a little when the Pureblood hit on me a bit. Maybe this face was a little too good...

But it vanished when he shot a lightning bolt at Reif. I jumped a little when it happened, but still my focus kept my Zeltron form intact. I could still sense his heartbeat however, so he wasn't dead.

I crossed my arms at the Pureblood's question. "You mean the Order of the Grey? Maybe I did. Maybe I didn't. What's it to you?"

I dared to step closer to him, locking his gaze once more.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"It means everything." Ballen-Ist would speak, his playful manner dropping entirely as he once more adopted a serious tone. Staring into the Zeltron's eyes, the young Knight would begin to probe deep into her mind, exerting his force energy slightly to overwhelm her own. Half way through the process, the young Sith would break it off, turning away from her as he instead decided to figure this out on his own. Instead, Ballen-Ist would once more utilize his telekinesis, lifting the unconscious Reif from the ground, having him float nearby the two. An aura of secrecy and deception leaked off of the Zeltron before him, which wasn't all too surprising, however it was so similar to the same thing he had felt from... Who was it again?

Groaning to himself in annoyance, the Knight would shrug, turning back to face the woman once again. "I am a member of the Grey. I know I've sensed you before... But, unfortunately, I do not recognize you. Which is surprising to say the least." The young man would explain, beginning to walk further along the alley, Reif's body floating behind him as he moved. "Do you have a ship?" The Sith would question, once again turning to look at [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"].

From the Grey, my ass! If the Pureblood was from the Grey, he would be radiating a good amount of Lightside energy along with the Darkside. But all I could feel from him was an almost painful darkness that nearly engulfed me for a little bit. He was probably trying to get into my head. I gave him a skeptical look and stayed right where I was.

"Yeah, I don't think so. You aren't fooling anyone, because I don't even think you're trying. You're not a Grey. If anything, you're a Sith."

My tone was neutral. I wasn't accusing, or accepting. I was merely stating my observation.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

While it was true that Ballen-Ist radiated only dark side energy, most Sith that observed him would most likely say that he was softer than the rest. This was something he tended to ignore, seeing as he did not even live among any Sith based factions anymore. Most dark siders would have already struck down @Yuuthayn Dicantos and Reif, simply for being in their presence. The smirk would once more find it's way onto the young man's face, as he continued to stare into the defiant Zeltron's eyes. This was was feisty, and he liked it.

"Impeccable reasoning, my dear," the Knight spoke, as he slowly pointed to his chin tendrils, alluding to the fact that he was obviously a Sith. "However, wielding the dark side does not makes one Sith. Was it Krest, or Alexandra that trained you?" Ballen-Ist would continue to question, still sensing out her emotions and inward reactions to his words. She could not hide the fact that she was from the Grey, though she seemed to still be hiding something else.

Yuuthayn Di'cantos

The Perfect Hiding Place is in Plain Sight
I really didn't think answering him was a good thing. I knew nothing about this man, or what he intended for me and my floating target. Nevertheless, it wasn't like he knew me. No one really did. Not even my Mentor, Krest. No amount of information I gave him would change that. I heaved a sigh.

"Krest is my Mentor right now, though he's been off doing whatever. He was so eager to take me on, so you'd think he'd find the time to actually train me, but NOOOO. I've gotta scrounge around for jobs until he gets back and have my ass handed to me by guys like you until then..."

I spoke as casually as if I was speaking to a friend instead of a stranger who could simply flick his wrist and end my life.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

"Krest left the Grey, I believe," Ballen-Ist spoke, doing his best to conceal the anger that was beginning to slowly build up within him once more, "though, I may be mistaken." The Sith would finish, still smirking seeing as he had gotten half of the information he was after. "It's unfortunate really, he was a good mentor. He made me into what I am today," the Sith continued, his tone a mix between regret and gratefulness. After a bit of walking, the two would exit the alleyway, being led back into the open street in which they had come from. Still using his telekinesis to secure Reif's body, Ballen-Ist would begin to scan the area for the nearest spaceport.

"Again, do you have a ship?" He questioned, not seeming irritated by having to repeat himself. If anything, the calm, calculated way that [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"] was handling things also kept the young man calm, for he wanted to see how things played out. The Zeltron seemed to have force potential, and could possibly even prove as an asset, if he were to find out more about her.

Yuuthayn Di'cantos

The Perfect Hiding Place is in Plain Sight
Hm. I always thought Krest had a little bit more of a Darkside feel to him than the others. Guess sooner or later I'd find out why. I'd have to ask him about it later.

When the Pureblood asked about my ship, I pointed at the port at the end of the street.

"The smallest ship is mine. Can't afford much else at the moment."

I began heading in that direction, knowing he would follow. Why was he suddenly so interested in me? It was kind of funny.

[member="Ballen-Ist"]

Ballen-Ist would keep up with [member="Yuuthayn Di'cantos"]' pace, beginning to walk towards the spaceport as her arm pointed at it. Still dragging along the unconscious Reif, the young Knight would chuckle, upon examining the strange looks he got from the rare passerby. "Come now, a pretty Zeltron like yourself should be able to have any rich man wrapped around their finger, don't you think," the Sith began, his neck craning slightly to peer curiously at the female from the edge of his vision. A sly grin would stretch across his face as he continued speaking, "Yes, your species is very capable of sensing and manipulating the emotions of others. I'm sure you could manipulate me right now, if you wanted. Go ahead, try me." He spoke, his last statement possibly referring to something else. The pureblood was determined to win this game, for the puzzle in his head had yet to be solved.

"Just kidding." The young man would add, after a brief moment of silent walking. All the while, his mind remained alert, feeling even the slightest reaction given off by the female.
