Private Blue Milk Run (Pitie)

The Wondering Star slipped through the inky blackness, stars streaking across the cockpit viewport as Almec Farstar kept a keen eye on his scanners. His hulking frame—broad shoulders that could intimidate a Wookiee—was tightly squeezed into the worn pilot's seat, and he adjusted his familiar Corellian leather vest, frowning.

"Red, keep those sensors on a swivel," he muttered, glancing over to the squat, rust-red R5 unit beside him. Red chirped a string of anxious beeps, his dome swiveling as he monitored the nearby airspace.

The planet Veridia lay ahead, bathed in the soft glow of distant starlight. Beneath its calm atmosphere, Almec knew, was a series of discreet supply depots that catered to buyers with no questions and plenty of credits. It was the kind of business he liked—fast deals, clean getaways. Except Veridia's local defense force didn't share that philosophy. As he neared the planet, the telltale ping of a scanner registered on his dashboard. Almec's fingers danced across the controls, toggling on the Wondering Star's stealth protocols.

"Not today," he muttered. The comm crackled, and a static-filled voice came through.

"YT-1300 freighter, this is Veridian Defense Patrol. Identify yourself and prepare for inspection."

Almec's heart pounded, but he let a lazy smile drift across his face. "This is Captain Almec Farstar, delivering agricultural parts." His voice oozed nonchalance, but his eyes stayed sharp on the patrol ship's vector. The patrol paused, and he saw their scanners sweep over his ship, pinging against Red's countermeasures. Come on, buy it, he willed silently.

At the last second, the patrol ship veered off, dismissing him as just another Corellian freighter. Almec gave a low chuckle, tapping a knuckle on Red's dome. "They don't make 'em smart out here, huh, Red?" Red gave an indignant beep, flashing a holo-display of his readouts as if to remind Almec who'd actually done the heavy lifting. Almec just shook his head.

"Next stop, Veridia. Just a quiet landing and a quick payday."

Pitie Pitie

Having wandered in the Netherworld for about 400 years, Pitie was used to being on the move. While she had been dead during those years, it had taken a significant toll on her mental and, very likely, her emotional state. Even if Pitie did not know anything was wrong with her.

A person here had been very friendly and understanding and helped her immensely. She was thankful for that, but the routine and the rigid rules drove the woman insane more than she already was. Though Pitie wasn't truly insane, she wasn't sure how to integrate herself into society.

So she went where she knew she could go on an adventure and hopefully not get hurt. Scared, beaten up, or yelled at, she expected to happen when she was caught. It always did, but she actually enjoyed the negative attention, as she had been lacking any of that while she wandered. Now, she just did a different kind of wandering.

She sat quietly near the spaceport, luckily unnoticed for the moment. She watched the ships come and go and wanted to be on one of them. Pitie didn't yet know she could use the Force, but it still spoke to her. As an old freighter came in for a landing and unloading, she attempted to make her move.

There were many people coming and going from the spaceport, so Pitie was able to walk in without any trouble. What might catch attention was the way she looked around, as if she were waiting for an attack to come at her. This was caused by just that happening to her in her first life. She didn't want this second chance to end so quickly.

Slinking through the crowd, she kept a wall to her left and followed it to one of the landing bays. Glancing inside, she had gotten lucky and picked her target. To the best of her ability, she snuck behind the ship, and when she found nobody was looking her way, she dashed aboard and searched for a hiding place.
