- Being in the deep jungles of the world there is not much known about them. Their temples from ancient times have been retaken by the jungle same as many of the other species on the planet. Their art is seen in large murals depicting the species rising up with the others on the worlds against the builders. Their ancient temples filled with courts and hoops that they used to play on and still at times do. They might not have all of their old lives since the devastation but things have happened.
The force is an important part of their daily lives with most who can use it being trained by the priests class, the harder work they do and the more they advance the better their lives can be. The caretaking of the temples and recovery of what they can find across the world is an important thing as the locals do not enjoy the half serpent like beings to be in the cities. Instead they live in huts and villages throughout the jungle forgotten by the denizens of the city.
Their legends speak of the builders but also of what there is in the caves and deeper in the world. Creatures so horrible they steal away little children with their magics in the dead of night. Pictures showing the multi-legged beings are carved into wood and at night there is bars put on the doors and windows to ensure nothing can get into their huts. Their interactions with the other species has been favorable as they learned to work with the being in the north trading when they can and respecting them.... but they are a little too icy to be around.
Among the Bo-Dun there is a sense of beautiful with the way you can make yourself look... not through decoration as much as general hygiene. The scales for instance can be cleaned and rubbed with extract from the plants to give it a shine to attract mates as well as compliments and it can be considered rube among the Bo to not offer at least one if someone has taken great care to clean and polish their scales. With outsiders there are some allowances but they do expect proper manners.

- General behavior:
- With Each other: Among each other there is a level of respect, beauty is a big thing for the different colored scales that they can get to a polish. Compliments are paid for the ones who want them as a sign of respect and those who take care of the remains of the great temples are seen as highly respected. Those sent to fight in the ancient caves though are given a heroes send off with a week of celebrating their sacrifice and all of their sins are seen as forgiven.
With Outsiders: They are friendly enough, most do not see or find them as most never leave the city when they arrive to trade with the "last" place of civilization on the planet. So they are usually not involved in much with them but are willing to offer them a warm meal and place to stay for the night if they need it to protect from the things that come out at night. So long as the outsiders are respectful and show manners like not
starring or insulting their appearances.
The Force: Those who can feel the force are presented with a choice when they are teenagers. After schooling if they have no incidents they can join the black or become a priest/priestess. Both are seen as a valuable and honored effort as the spiritual leaders can elevate those from the servants to the highest station or it can just be a family duty. Those born and trained in it learnt he secrets of the force and how to protect the clans through mind tricks so that they will not be endangered at times.
The Black: An honor in ancient times but it has changed over several thousand years. The long nights where monsters come out to hunt and kill the planet are seen with high honor and celebration. All of them from the lowest servant of the caretakers to the tribal elders are equal before the black of the caves and monsters. Once they join their past and crimes are forgotten allowing them a heroes send off before their fight and protect until they die. In the days past it was seen as an honor the elder warriors did to protect people and not die a straw death dying in their sleep when they were trained to fight.

Captured by the builders from another world originally and brought to serve in their temples. The Bo-Dun do not have any real memory of their original world and consider Sekalus their homworld even if they were not born there. The hard work they did to take care of the monuments to the builders across the world served them well as they were skilled servants taking over the care taking when the other worlds rose up against them and fought them back.
As the other species seemed to retreat and either find ways off world to find their homes they found a purpose in protecting the temple. Unaware of the dangers that were coming, from the planet. There were creatures in the caves and the dark, monsters that attacked things after bing woken up by the force hounds attacking them to enslave them but something happened and they were killed. As the creatures come up there was few other things that could match their raw power.
The Bo-Dun rose up to match it just barely instead finding ways to trick them and some of their larger weaknesses. The creatures seemed to thrive and feed on the fear and people thinking about them. The serpent like being fought them back and drove the creatures back underground using the last of the weapons and droids the uprising left from the builders as they destroyed monuments and temples. Violating what they used to do but using it to seal the entrance that had been opened to the underground caves.
With the initial thread sealed behind a giant wall the other species found ways to get along, letting the memories drift off and become tall tales told to scare children into eating their veggies or doing their chores. Talks of creatures coming from below the ground to steal them away and eat them. Eventually over time the tall tales became legends and myths that many didn't believe as the populations of the world became smaller. Going to their protected cities and leaving the Bo-Dun there to watch the caves.
The human like species in the north who dealt with other things found their way back down and traded sometimes with the jungle and tropical beach dwelling creatures but not a lot. They were interested in the cities where they could get technological resources for themselves. Not a bad thing and not something to scoff at but slowly with time the remaining temples fell into disrepair with the stone and metal giving way as the jungles sought to reclaim them.
This left to Bo-Dun with plenty of homes but presented problems as they could run the risk of new dangers getting in at weaker areas. The clans left their temples and made villages where they could work on some of the things with their attention on keeping out the legendary creatures that they sent people to go and deal with. The Black oaths changing with time into something less of an honor where they were fighting monsters into something criminals could go to for a reprieve.
Then slowly the time came as people in the cities were starting to get sick, the Bo-Dun feeling it the most as they got from the rich in the cities blankets and supplies spreading the infection and plague throughout the clans faster. The Dark times that followed saw a lot of their work in the jungles changing while they tried to repopulate without risking their young dying and falling into sickness. As the time went forward they looked over some of the things.
They found it easier to work on more then their population was cut nearly in half with the rifts opening and stealing people away. For the first time the watch of the caves was undermanned so heavily there were rumors of things stirring deep down in the tunnels once again. Their clans moving into a unification to provide strength where they needed it and to save each other over staying in their older temples and homes. A united clan that could be met by the outsiders and jedi that have come to the world.
With much of their homeworld attacked, the species were relocated. Some of them working with the jedi themselves and going to worlds where they would be able to survive and better repopulate. Sekalus falling under several massive bioweapon attacks.. some of the other more dangerous species doing much the same. The Atrisians allowing them on some fo their worlds and as part of the Commonwealth to better improve its numbers but also give them a chance to develop their own technologies.
