With KSLH Corporation settling on Kashyyyk - J.P. made it a pointe to hire Wookies to work in the factories. The legendary Wookies were renown for their knowledge of technology and J.P. - who opposed slavery - held a soft spot in his heart for them. He respected the mighty warriors for enduring great hardships at the cruel hands of the galaxy who had not only survived but flourished over time.

The Wookies saw this human - J.P. Huntington - not just as a boss but as a friend. However, those that lived outside the factory complex viewed the human as just another potential slaver. Humans bore a nasty reputation of removing Wookies offworld to be exploited in labour camps. Inside the complex - the Wookies were not only treated with respect but as family to J.P. Huntington.

Seven Wookies - Jiaddik, Tarkazza, Katchit, Frobecca, Dryanta, Arribacca, and Grozlanna - decided to form a group to protect J.P. Huntington. They called themselves the Furry Seven and where J.P. Huntington went - they went. Each one of them had sworn a life debt to the human based off the good he was doing for their fellow Wookies.
