Flight Control: Pilot and co-pilots are required to be able to fully control the Bolt.
Sickbay: The Bolt-class’s sickbay is smaller than most and only has one bed fitted, with a desk suited for the medical officer of the vessel.
Engine Room: Below the main deck is where the engine is housed keeping the Bolt moving is no easy task and requires at least two engineers.
Logistics Management: One person operates supplies and personnel on the Bolt.
Security/Tactics: Two and they’ll have to dual role as the Bolt requires two gunners.
Crew Cabins: Four to a room, two bunks in each with lockers and chests for storage.
Day Room: Is the main part of the deck, holds the holo table and communicator for longer range communications and mission planning.
Officer Cabins: Two to a room, this is meant to be shared by both junior and senior officers.
Galley: A small kitchenette where the crew can prepare meals for themselves, it is located within the day room.
Command Pit: Sitting behind flight control is the commanding officer’s seat and around him or her is the rest of their bridge crew. It is called the pit because of the steps down you must take to get to it.
Fitness Center: Is standard on most ships but is a feature here as it also comes equipped with a sauna to make fitness just a little bit easier.
Munitions Storage: The Bolt's payload is divided into several storage units and are made ready to load. Payloads are stored along the Engine Room's outer walls.
Cargo Lounge: Just before you get to the cargo area, there's a small lounge where drinks are served, card games thrive and a little music is played.
Maneuverability Rating: 5
Speed Rating: 6
Hyperdrive Class: 1
Strengths:
[+] Feisty: The little Bolt-class sloop might be small and light on the armor, but she's fast – fast enough to compliment the Dagger and the Fortan class ships. Like her sister's she's a medium to close range vessel. Built to tear into the larger ship's guns and critical systems the Bolt is ready to make enemies of the First Order's navies a living nightmare.
[+] Pack Mentality: Aforementioned the Bolt is built with her sister ships in mind. She's also built to be deployed in sections of three or more. Attacking in near TIE Fighter-like formations but the ability to go toe to toe with ships bigger than her, while aiding to screen enemy starfighters. Bolt serves to fill in the gaps left behind by the Dagger and the Fortan.
Weaknesses:
[-] One-Shot Wonder: Her engines and her payloads are housed close together and with her light armor, you can imagine how vulnerable she is. Even with armor strength to be more considerable in this area – it's not always enough to prevent her from getting one-shotted out of the stars and skies.
[-] Pack Mentality: Because she was built with her sisters in mind, built with the idea that she would be deployed in sections. The Bolt does not bold well on her own – her weakened armor, and lighter shields leave her vulnerable to many capital ship guns.
[-] Forward-Facing: While formidable the Bolt's weapons are forward facing only. She must present herself forward toward the enemy in order to maintain her firing arcs. With fixed weapons facing forward, leaves the Bolt vulnerable on her backside and with no ability to fire to her rear.
[-] Hotblooded: Her weapons require a cool down, specifically her missile launchers. They cannot be fired one after another in rapid succession and require thirty seconds between firing.
Description: A last minute bid from Cloud City Imperial Shipworks landed them the contract to produce the Bolt. Originally designed by Primo Victorian Shipwright and Design, the design was sold to Cloud City on the condition that Primo Victorian can withdraw the rights at any time.
The Bolt was brought up as a way to increase the Navy’s flexibility, diversity and being able to go, ‘small.’ Admittedly her design is based off an old Corellian freighter, the YT-1300 to be exact. Ms. McBose grew up on Coruscant and much admired the greatly spoke about vessel; the Millennium Falcon. Her desire to create one of her own finally came to fruition, unfortunately with Primo Victorian already taxed she was forced to sell the design, while retaining the rights.
Which. She has done on all of her designs, regardless - still, this one, this one holds a special place in her heart. The Bolt was sponsored by the Tarkin Naval Foundation in cooperation with the Bespin Imperial Society.
