STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :

Reflexes: Thanks to his combat ready body Bolt is considerably more acrobatic and has better reaction time than many organics and even many other combat droids. Sometimes even rivalling the capabilities of a Force Adept individual. He can also rapidly calculate and processes large amount of information rather quickly. This also often translated well into dogfighting.

Strength: Also thanks to his droid philology Bolt has considerably amount of strength. Being able to easily and rapidly jump high and long distances as well as man handled a fair amount of organics in the galaxy.

Durability: Bolt also has a moderate amount of blaster resistant as well. Being able to easily tank glancing blaster blows. Even serious damage to his personal hull can't instantly kill him. Such as being delimbed or even bisected.

Droid Physiology: As much as this could be a strength it is also a weakness. Although he could function more as a nebulas AI rather than a purely physical droid at times one could argue that many could see him as a mere non sentient robot and face a considerable amount of discrimination as a rouge and lone droid. On one hand he doesn't need to eat or sleep and is immune to illness but on the other hand he rusts, needs to update components and can't really swim. Being a battle droid has it's advantages and disadvantages.

Ionic Damage: Probably his greatest physical weakness, ionic and electrical damage is especially potent for Bolt to deal with, even if his hardware isn't permanently destroyed he can easily be stun and defeated by this kind of damage.

Hacks: Also notable weakness of his is the ability to be sliced or hacked. This would mostly need to be done physically rather than remotely. But if captured by the wrong hands Bolt can have wide parts of who he is erased or altered to their captors whims so long as their technically savvy enough to overcome his damaged logic processors.

APPEARANCE:

Bolt physically is a standard looking BX commando droid, however, for utility and sometimes fashion he wears rugged outdoorsy attire like hats, cargo vests and cargo shorts, as well as belts and holsters mostly for the extra pockets. Although outwardly a BX commando droid, inwardly he's more akin to a junk droid.

Personality:

Given his rather "young age" most of Bolt's personality matrix comes from a mix of programs that were originally programmed into him prior to his late activation. Because of some strange cross wiring and signals from his programming he has developed something of a adventurous "cowboy-ish" type of persona. Often wanting to look for action, and wear rugged clothes. Despite not being able to he also likes to smoke and drink a fair bit, or at least pretend to.

BIOGRAPHY:

Early "Life"

BT-JT's story technically starts during the later stages of the old Clone Wars. However, despite being built and ready for combat he never saw any. By the time his unit was manufactured and shipped the war had ended so he remained in status for well over a century. His deactivated body had somehow managed to avoid being scrapped and turned into slag for a something else, as was traded extensively between scrappers across the galaxy, however never being used or activated.

During the late 300s ABY a small time Hutt crime lord had managed to steal BT-JT from ca clan of Jawa's who had tinkered with BT's body and components. Trading out his corroded internals for more up to date hardware but not really doing much for his software. The Hutt had planed to use BT as a bodyguard and enforcer of sorts. However, upon his first activation things didn't go according to plan. BT experiences something best described as droid instantly with all his components being mismatched inside of his body software never really being touched he quickly resisted the Hutt's commands and in a chaotic frenzy managed to escape into the swamps of Nal Hutta.

Fortunately though a bit of time after finally awaking from his slumber. His internal processors managed to allow himself "calm down" after running some crucial trouble shooting and diagnostics on himself he was able to get a grip on himself. Given a bit more time he came to realize that he was as some organics would say, "A fish out of water" everything he was initially made for was gone.

His logic processors quickly conflicted with each other over what his priorities should be. However, there was too much contradictions that came from his initial programming and the shoddy updates he'd received over the years. There was only true option for him if he wanted to maintain his "sanity" disregard his directives and go rouge. A terrifying prospect for the lone droid, but a necessary one. Thus in the polluted swamps of Nal Hutta Bolt Jetson was Born.

Rouge Life

Even on his own and with little idea on how to move forwards he was a capable individual and clever as well. In some ways he was a little thankful for all the mismatched hardware and removed programming limitations on him as it allowed a greater level of creativity and improvisation. One of his first orders of business was to get off Nal Hutta and learn some history to get a better idea of the strange new galaxy he found himself in.

With his voice modular he was able to create something of a false identity for himself as Bolt Jetson. There aren't many ways for a droid to disguise themselves in a hostile galaxy, but it wasn't impossible. Bolt managed to get by pretending that he was merely a drone, being remotely controlled by "The real Bolt Jetson '' at some undisclosed location. Through this he was able to fool many organics into thinking that they were dealing with a fellow organic such as themselves and that his droid body had no autonomy of it's own. It was embarrassing but he needed to be done, at least for the time being.

Eventually Bolt managed to buy his way off the Hutt homeworld onto a scrap world like Raxus Prime. Although the planet would seem like a horribly choice for most it was a treasure trove of mechanical and electronic history. There with the help of some outcast local junk droids he was able to clean out his internal components, removing parts that regularly conflicted with one another updating his programing even further for something more fitting for himself and custom made while still being a BX droid at heart.

Still under the guise of being a mere drone Bolt was able to work as something of a hired gun. There was also a market for violence and force and that was something he was very capable of as a literal old confederate war machine. Eventually Bolt amassed enough wealth and good enough reputation that he was able to get a sizable ship of his own. Through a haggling he was able to buy himself a seemingly ancient CR90 Corvette at a massive discount given the age of disrepair of the vessel. Since that point it has been a several hundred year old model and the fact that it had a broken hyperdrive.

With his corvette, nicknamed The Red Dwarf for his red paint job he set out on his own with a small skeleton crew of various droids he managed to “recruit” under his own banner. Manny of which being old CIS droid bodies such as OOM and B1 models to aid in his space faring ventures.

However, with the broken hyperdrive this almost became a blessing in disguise for him. Utilizing sunlight travel he set out into uncharted deep space. Having no connection to the galaxy and the time in which he was activated he found that with physics Bolt, his ship and crew could effectively time travel into the future if their speed was maintained and had a blistering sunlight speed they would experience time dilation. That way they could not only get to a place that could offer them a working hyperdrive but anyone that had it out for Bolt would be long dead or too old to really care.

Now in the year 867 ABY hundreds of years into the future which felt like a measly month from Bolt and his crew’s point of view they have entered the modern galaxy. These days Bolt has set out to make a name for himself as something of a privateer and mercenary droid. Selling his services to local planetary governments and defense forces with pirate/raider problems.

Finding himself in the new galaxy ripe with bloodshed and conflict the governments of powers of the galaxy certainly become more desperate, and the more desperate powers typically pay the best as well. Bolt also finds it very easy to find work as well, but drastically undercutting the competition for similar services. Despite offering his his work for a fraction of the cost of similar Bolt often makes serious profits given the cost of operating with completely a droid crew. When not needing to worry about feeding, medical bills, time off, and even life-support systems it's easy for Bolt to save a lot of credits and make a good name for himself as an independent Privateer. However, in particularly lawless areas of space Bolt will engage in just straight up piracy.
