Yuri didn't get around to visiting Kestri all that often, mostly due to the friction that came with him strutting about. But now and again he came over to visit, and he made sure to catch up with some people in his low profile visit. Today was such a day, and luckily his cousin was available for a visit. Setting down on his mother's available landing pad, he immediately sent her a message to let Mevia know he was in town. It had been a long while since they last talked. On one end he was looking forward to the visit, but on the other end he was a bit concerned over how she was doing. He put money down on how long it would take her to challenge him to a duel.

While waiting for Mevia to arrive, Yuri began to look over the parts of his freighter. It was in need of a service, much to his dismay. So he pulled out his tool box and started to take panels off and pull parts for inspection. The more he took apart, the more annoyed he began to get. This was going to cost more than he was comfortable with, and that was with family discount at the Ironworks.

"Oh kark you, you..." His ranting was interrupted as he yanked a sensor box out of the fuselage, which sent him falling to the icy ground below with a loud grunt. "You karkin' schutta piece of..." Throwing the busted sensor box merely resulted in a piece bouncing back and hitting him against the head. "Kark this piece of crap." He grumbled, looking at the burnt sensor box. "Chakaar." He continued, throwing it onto the pile of items he needed to replace. Perhaps those trips of his were going to have to scale down...

A speeder bike raced into the landing bay, roaring as an individual wearing a black leather riding outfit recklessly sped through the port. Several older Mandalorians shouted at her as she sped by, warning her to slow down in such a busy port, but she ignored them. Under her riding helmet's visor, she scoffed. She enjoyed the thrill, the wind howling in her ears and chilling her skin. It was something she was unable to simply give up. It was her passion. Her freedom...

Eventually, she turned the bike sideways and pulled a couple levers. She swiftly, but smoothly, slid into a landing pod she was used to occasionally rolling up in. Mostly, her great aunt was the one using this spot. But today, there was someone else here she looked forward to seeing.

If poor Yuri had already been cussing about his ship, Mevia's quite dramatic slide into the spot would have set him off even more. As the engines of the bike were cooled down, a couple loose papers flew around the landing pad. The girl pulled her keys from the ignition and lifted her hand to the prim of her visor, pulling it up. She lifted the visor over the top of the riding helmet, revealing Chiss red eyes and dark blue skin.

"Relax, Yuri, it's just me."

She nonchalantly hopped off the bike, landing on the floor. As she approached Yuri, she unclipped the helmet and yanked it off, shaking her thick, black hair as it fell over her shoulders and back. She tossed the helmet onto a nearby crate, likely already occupied by some tools, and leaned against Yuri's out of shape ship.

"Y'know, my mom could help you fix this thing. She'd probably yell at you for your life choices first though."

A random mechanical part decided to fall the the floor after she said that.

Still, a part of Mevia was resentful. Don't worry, she's yelled at me too lately...

She ignored her troubles for now, however, and instead asked, "So, how you been?"

...

"And you got any ne'tra gal or tihaar on you?"

Yuri barely had a chance to get up before snow and papers were all sprayed against him by the emerging speeder. "Yoka to Bantha poodoo..." Yuri grumbled in Huttese as he got up and dusted himself off, though his annoyance faded quickly when Mevia took off her helmet and approached him. "You can be glad, I was just about to call the traffic police." He answered at her remark as a grin took hold.

A grin that quickly faded as she made fun of his ship. "Hey! There's nothing wrong with her. Just a service." He glanced at the components around him for a moment. A very long overdue service, but nobody needed to know that. "Besides, don't need auntie Gwyn's help, this is easy to fix up. I got enough pep talks from a karkin' Jedi the other day if you can believe that." He immediately wrapped his arms around Mevia to hug her in greeting. When she asked about potential drinks, Yuri let go to ruffle her hair up and take a step back, waiting for a punch or other retort from her.

"Oh please, Mev. I thought you knew me?" He quipped, motioning for her to follow him aboard. "Tihaar's finished, but I got some spotchka and whiskey somewhere. Some Netra as well. That's partially why I came to visit, wanted to stock up a bit again." He explained to her as he led her to the galley. After chucking a bottle of Ne'tra gal at Mevia and opening one for himself, Yuri took a sip as he leaned against his kitchen counter. "Been doin' pretty good. Had some close calls here and there, but nothing too new. How's things been going on your end? Auntie Gwyn still givin' you hell over nothing?" He spoke calmly, helping himself to another sip. "You look good, by the way. Training's been payin' off." He remarked with a smile.

It was good to see his little sis again.

Warm greetings, snarky remarks, and the offer for some Mandalorian booze. Mevia was quite happy to be visiting her older "cousin" (uncle, technically, but it felt weird calling him that) again. Though, the mention of Jedi soured her mood a bit. As they relaxed inside the kitchen, Mevia grabbed a full bottle, popped the lid, and took a large glug of it. She wiped the alcohol off her lips and smirked at Yuri, "You know I've been training for, like, my whole life. Now more than ever! These crusades aren't gonna bring us glory without brave Mandalorian warriors to crusade with! You should join yourself, the Enclace could use more people with your... unique, skillset."

She placed the bottle on the counter, looking off for a second as she voiced a thought, "I was considering joining the Si'kahya, once I become better integrated into the Enclave itself."

She looked down for a moment, sighing, "Ba'buir has been Si'kahya for eons now, and I know aunt Shai used to be one. I'm pretty sure my own mum had an offer to join or something, but she turned it down. Can't understand why, honestly."

She paused for a moment, then-

"Ugh, my mother! She keeps saying that I need to be 'careful out there,' and that 'I'm training with the wrong people!' Oh, I apologize if I've found fellow vod just as passionate about Mandalore's future as myself! I suppose you never felt that way, mum, hiding on Archais when things got rough for the Enclave!"

She paused for a moment, as if just realizing what she had said out loud. She brought a hand to her temple and shook her head. "No... sorry, I shouldn't talk about her that way. She-she was still loyal to the Enclave, regardless of where she raised us. I'm just - it's just - frustrating, it all!"

She picked up the bottle and proceeded to chug the entire thing.

Yuri's eyebrows raised and a faint scoff escaped him as he stared at Mevia. "Unique skillset? Way to throw shade, huh Mev?" He retorted as he crossed his arms. She went on to mention the Si'kahya, making Yuri huff a little as he took another sip of his drink. He was about to answer but she beat him to it, going on a little venting session about her mother which earned a strained smile from Yuri.

Once her bottle was finished he handed her another. "To be fair, Mev... goin' to war like Ma or auntie Gwyn did ain't right. I mean... you've seen how they look? Hell, Ma woke up screaming again the other day when I slept over. It's been twenty years and that stuff still sticks with her." It was one of the reasons why he refused to join the Enclave's armed forces. He'd seen his own share of messed up things, done some as well. But war was a different story. Although in some cased he'd wager that he's seen worse than what one can expect in battle.

"But, I mean... at the same time... you're a damn good fighter. I think you got a chance to join the Siks, if that's what you wanna do. I just don't wanna see my little sis gettin' messed up like Ma." He continued with a warm smile. Mevia was a damn good fighter, though he had never seen her in action as a soldier. "Regardless, though... kark Mandalore, honestly." He chuckled, finishing off his drink. "I went there a few months back, it ain't pretty." He quipped as he tossed his bottle away. "I have considered it, though... joining the armed forces. But that ain't for me." He admitted as he stared at the ground for a moment.
