- Bonfire: The Bonfire carries a number and quality of weapons to rival nearly any other tank or walker it will come across, and can demolish fortifications and armoured fighting vehicles with its pair of massive cannons.
- True tank: The defences of the tank are formidable against lasers, kinetic weapons, and explosives alike. The use of composite armour makes it especially resistant to HEAT and kinetic penetrator weapons, and the multiple active protection systems mean sometimes the armour isn’t even needed.
- Droid brain backup: If the Bonfire is badly damaged and the crew must escape, or if a crew member is killed in action, the emergency droid brain can take over from the people inside to a limited capacity. This can temporarily keep the tank in action, or cover the crew as they escape.
- Ion/EMP resistance: The copper electronic shielding allows this vehicle to take hits from EMP and ion weapons without much damage.
- Droid brain: The emergency droid brain isn’t very smart, and is only a stopgap measure. If the droid brain is tampered with, it will undoubtedly cause major problems for the crew and those around it.
- Rather conspicuous: It’s large and loud, no sneaking up on the enemy.
- Not a transport: The tank cannot carry passengers and only enough room for crew equipment.
- Turret Traverse: The Bonfire’s turret traverse speed is rather slow, making it difficult for the tank to target small, fast moving targets with its primary turret weapons. For this reason it is often escorted by smaller tanks and light armoured vehicles much like a spaceborne capital ship.
The largest tank chassis constructed by Arms Dynamics, the Bonfire Superheavy Tank is equipped with the express purpose of breaking through fortifications and destroying smaller tanks and walkers. For this the Bonfire is equipped with a pair of Torchstar Smoothbore Cannons, the same weapon mounted on the Torch Heavy Tank. This allows the tank’s ammunition loadout to be tailored to the combat environment, such as the use of sabot rounds against heavily armoured vehicles or high explosive munitions against enemy fortifications. As a secondary weapon for use against low flying hostile air support, infantry, or lightly armoured vehicles the Bonfire is armed with a pair of Rushlight Autocannons. These smaller autocannons can quickly rip through enemy infantry at close to medium range, or score mobility or firepower kills against enemy armour by repeatedly hitting optics or locomotive systems.
The large size of the Bonfire means it cannot rely on armour and shielding alone. For this it is additionally protected by standard anti laser aerosol canisters as seen on other Arms Dynamics vehicles, along with a missile deactivation transmitter and a Firework Active Protection system to provide protection from ATGMs and HEAT warheads.
