Book order.

I want to start educating myself on Star Wars "history".

What order should I read the books to get a good grasp on important characters and events? I'm not really focused on anything post episode 6. I'm really into the politics and societal aspect of the Star Wars universe.

 

[Matsu Xiangu]

The Thrawn Trilogy first, without a doubt. That's post Episode 6, but if you want to dive in to the EU you really can't miss them.

 

[Vulpesen]

pick one up... anything Thrawn or older.

 

[Saran Drast]

Thrawn, Legacy of the Force, Kotor, and, the big one in my opinion, Darth Plageius.

This is a good question since I go to the library every week... I picked up Lost Tribe of the Sith last week.
