(OPEN TO GUESTS FROM THE RIMWORLD TRADE LEAGUE, DARKWIRE, AND SILVER JEDI)

Broka's sail barge sailed through the Nar-Shaddaa skyline to the Hutt Assembly Building. There, the festival will begin, and permeate across the planet. Parades will fly across the city world, fire works will be shot off across the upper sectors, clubs, bars, casinos, and cantinas will be packed with citizens. It was Boonta's Eve, the beginning of the new year for the Hutts. This is possibly the largest celebration of Boonta's Eve in recent history. So large that even foreigners from other sectors have come to take part in the festivities. Though, it clearly was not just a celebration of the Hutt tradition, but it was also a celebration of the three families that began the Hutt Republic. Across the planet, where Boonta's Eve decorations were placed, there were also various forms of praising propaganda for the Nem'ro, Desilijic, and Anjiliac as well. Banners with the clan symbols, parades in honor of each of the three Hutts, fireworks in the clan colors of each clan, the list goes on. This was a celebration of a new year, and a new era for Hutt Space. The people of Nar-Shaddaa welcomed the rule of the Hutts back after decades of gang violence, and mobsters ruling in place.

The festival was well underway, but as Supreme Mogul, he had to make a speech on the holo-net since he was the political face of the Hutts. So, what better a place than the front steps of the Hutt Assembly Building. His sail barge docked at the main platform, and Broka was escorted to the podium on a hover-throne. The audience at the steps applauded with his approach. The other Hutts on the assembly sat in glorified positions as well. They were spared of speech, but had to still get spotlight. The stoic expression of his colleagues welcomed him, as a big feast was to happen tonight. Officials who would be willing to come would have the honor of dining with the most esteemed of the Hutt Clans as of current time. The Rimworld Trade League was a neighbor that could be useful to have ties with. They could link the worlds the Hutt Republic has to the rest of the outer rim for easier business. The Silver Jedi were the overarching government, so inviting them was customary. However, it could not hurt to have the slightly more legitimate operations expand into proper Silver Jedi space. Then, the corporate authorities on Denon were welcome for certain. Having ties with the core natives would make business operations in the core easier, as well as create some political ties to a similarly aligned organization.

The ponderings aside, his hover chair made its way to the podium, where Broka slid his corpulent mass off to properly situate himself for the speech.
(In Huttese)"<Today is Boonta's Eve. A glorious holiday that has been celebrated by the Hutts and their subjects for over a millennia. It marks the end of this year, and the beginning of the next. It celebrates the amazing conquest of the mighty Boonta who conquered much of Hutt Space in the name of the Hutt Empire of old. For his great achievement, Boonta ascended to godhood on his death, and to this day we mark that ascension with this night of festivities. However, this year is unique in recent history. For decades past, this world has been subject to petty mobsters and small gangsters that pale in comparison to the majesty of the Hutts. These lesser organizations fought tirelessly in these streets creating chaos and destruction that threatened the prosperity of this world. However, after the past months, the recently founded Hutt Republic has put an end to that dark age to reintroduce order to, and preserve the prosperity of, Nar-Shaddaa, and later, all of Hutt Space. So, today we celebrate not just the coming of the new year, not just the glorious ascencion of the mighty Boonta, but the ushering in of a new era. The era, of the Hutt Republic!>"
He paused to allow the crowd before him to applaud.

"<So, in celebration of this wondrous occasion, take to the streets people of Nar-Shaddaa! Celebrate the return of the Hutts! Celebrate the families that sit behind me now! Celebrate the prospect of a brighter future for Hutt Space!>"

The crowd in front of him applauded graciously. Across the planet people were cheering as they watched the broadcast of this speech on the holonet. All over the world, the people who called the heart of Hutt Space home were celebrating with fervor. The dark age over Hutt Space was over, and it was thanks to the maneuvering of the Hutts. Broka let the audience in front of him finish the applause. He then sat back on the chair, he followed his colleagues inside the building where they all went to the top floor to have the traditional Boonta's Eve feast. Guests would arrive after they got situated in the room. Once the Hutts all got seated accordingly around the massive table, the doors opened for the guests to enter the room.

Willow and Ivy stood to the side of the other Hutts while Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt gave his speech. As Broka's advisors and courtiers, the twins were given top honours.

They were dressed in their finest silver robes, accented with golden threads that created leaf patterns along the hoods, necklines, sleeves and bottom trims. Upon their feet were silver slippers that were also accented with gold threads. They wore no jewelry, however, for they hadn't saved up enough credits. What they did spend their credits on in recent weeks was in getting themselves a Loong Cat which they named Ash. He primarily stayed in their enormous suite.

After Broka's speech, the twins had a few moments to spare before heading up to the top floor. They let all the Hutts head off to the feast first. In the meantime, they held eachother's hand while walking over to a balcony to watch the fireworks. They had never seen them in real life before!

"So pretty!"

"Yes, and so are all the decorations. I'm so glad that we get to participate in the celebrations this year, Ivy."

"Yes, me too!" It felt like another lifetime when Nartuuk and others held them in captive service. The twins were never allowed out of the building that they were held in. So they never got to enjoy Boonta Eve.

But now while in service to Broka, they got to take part in the feast and have fun. If anyone continued to think that they were slaves that needed to be freed, well, that would take them away from all of this. And neither of the twins wanted that.

They also had Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure to watch over and protect them. He qas their own hire and as the days and weeks passed by, both were quick to admit that they had made the right decision. Both hoped that he would be with them for a long time to come. But of course they didn't look into their own future. That was too terrifying.

Nar Shaddaa
Boonta's Eve

As far as speeches went, the Hutt delivered a grand performance. His voice, even through the massive holonet screen which overlooked the merchant district on the planet, held both strength and confidence. For her personally, as she listened to the speech among a gathered crowd, she knew of the Hutt history and their legacy; never having dealings with them directly. Her company, on the other hand, possessed a few contracts with some of the local merchants and with the products provided to them and to whom they sold them to was of no concern to her; politics had no place in capitalism. And it was one reason why she was here, to visit some independent entrepreneurs to solidify contracts and agreements, as well as attend the festivities at the Hutt Assembly Building.

Security, unable to notice, was extremely tight. Armed guards probably representing the Hutt Clans, watched everyone closely; checking and double checking everyone's invitation to the festival upstairs. When her time came to provide her credentials, it was an astromech droid flanked by two heavily armored green skinned aliens, with whom she had the pleasure of dealing with.
"Cute little droid," the technomancer said handing over the datacard to the droid. Quickly and efficiently the droid scanned it, chimed twice, and returned it back to her in which the guards allowed her to pass.

Surprise was an understatement she felt upon entering the building. From everything she heard of the Hutts, fact and fiction, she would have never believed the beauty of the inside if not for seeing it for herself. Every color, pattern, and layout was magnificently chosen and artistically designed to perfection. The floors, uniquely constructed with a spiral motif, held a sheen so pristine that one could see their own reflection flawlessly; nearly mistaking the floor as a mirror. Up above on the ceiling, painted with classic taste, was an ecumenopolis mural of Nar Shaddaa with the planet of Nal Hutta hovering over it as if their roles had been reversed. Even the walls were lavishly decorated with both pastel and water paintings of some of Nar Shaddaa's infamous crime lords, names and dates in gold underneath each picture; dating the history of the planet from the early days of the Old Republic, possibly even predating the Jedi Order.

Vyn stood behind the twins like a looming shadow while the Hutt made his speech, was tonight not of such importance he might have relaxed a little and joined them closer to their Lord, instead, he was on his best behavior. Eyes focused on the massive crowd in front of him, but his ears were listening to the translation of his employers' words, they were definitely those of a Hutt, the way he spoke seemed to radiate dominance... maybe it was solely because he is Vyn's employer, or perhaps there was more truth behind it. Looking at Willow & Ivy Willow & Ivy he was reminded how ecstatic they were about tonight and unsure why but that seemed to ease his own spirits.

He himself had been to his share of royal events, banquets and celebrations alike always accompanying his mother, but the days were in the past, and events like those seemed to pale in comparison to this night. As Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt and his companions' made their way into the building he bowed as they passed.

Noticing the girls moving in a separate direction he followed them to the balcony the fireworks going off in the distance, listening to the girls speak, with his own
"Beautiful" slipping out as the colors washed over his face then clearing his throat he looked at their backs and took but a moment of his attention away to reminisce about the good and the bad, what would come next and what it would have in store, not only for him but Willow and Ivy as well.

Vyn was wearing a simple suit. A white button-up dress shirt that fit his figure with the sleeves rolled to just below the elbows with the top button left undone, black slacks and his shoes polished to perfection like he was expecting a military inspection. Concealing his blaster and Vibro-blade within the lining of a black vest he was wearing over the dress shirt, and unless someone watched him get dressed they wouldn't be able to tell he was carrying.

he turned, leaning against the railing next to the twins and crossing his arms to get a view of the now increasing mass of people and he slipped again
"another night full of eventful people, here we come" and for just a second he softened around the two, definitely a rare treat for them considering how collected and stern he usually acted.

Growing up, Boontas Eve was always one of Gortta's favorite holidays. It wasn't often that Hutts in Gortta's line overtly showed love and affection to each other. Most of the time, everyone (including family) was supposed to be seen as a potential business rival, or perhaps a potential business partner. However, Boontas Eve was a time when Gortta and his father spent time together forgetting the worries of the galaxy at that time and just enjoyed the festivities. To put it simplistically; it was nice. It was also a gentle reminder that at some point Gortta was going to need to start thinking about an offspring of his own to inherit the clan upon his passing.

For now, his main focus was on this celebration. He sat, on his own barge, overlooking the crowd as he listened to Broka's speech. He took a sip of a drink while thinking to himself how he was so grateful he didn't have to be the political face of the Hutt Republic. Long-winded speeches at festivals like this were something Gortta saw as utterly beneath him as well as a lot of the other responsibilities. Frankly, if it were up to him, Gortta would simply bring back the council comprised of the most powerful clans to keep order within the Hutts without all of the headache of political correctness and decorum. Perhaps Gortta would get the chance to thank Broka in person for taking this bullet.

To say there had been trepidation about the invitation amongst the League council-members would have been an understatement. The Hutts and the Outer Rim had a sordid history that had left deep, deep scars in the memories of many. Eager to exploit and maneuver for more wealth and power, most in the Southern Rim preferred to keep distance between themselves and the Hutts.

But it was a new day and analysts had concluded that the efforts of this Hutt Republic were genuine. They were indeed working on becoming legitimate and abandoning the criminal ways, at least officially. That she understood, especially given the League's lax views on market goods. Goods, not slaves. But with the banning of the detested practice, that had cleared off the last roadblock.

Mya had volunteered to accept the invitation of the Hutts, and escorted by a small cadre of the Rimward Ranger Corps (It was still Nar Shaddaa, after all), she had gone to the Boonta Even festival. She now stood in line to the feast, after listening to the speech. It was impressive, she had to admit. Ambitious to see such a new undertaking from the Hutts.

But then, wasn't she also engaged in an equally ambitious undertaking? Uniting the Southern Outer Rim through commerce, free trade, cooperation, and diplomacy to build a better life for everyone was something that very few had ever tried, and usually via military force. They all needed a new beginning and this was the start.

Plus, as a semi-autonomous region within the Concord, it would hopefully open doors to the Concord properly. When she reached the door, she revealed her identification and official diplomatic letters before she was ushered in quickly.

The sight was magnificent. It took her breath away. For all their faults, she had to admit the Hutts sure did know how to do grandeur.

The twins looked over to Vyn Daldoure Vyn Daldoure as he spoke of what could unfold tonight, each of them smiling in amusement. "Yes indeed, however we're more than likely to be ignored for this one."

"That is the way of the Hutts, afterall."

"We are only summoned if needed and the invited guests are only here for them."

Both returned their attention to the fireworks, watching with awe of the amazing display. "It's like one big birthday party."

"And we've never had one before. But today we can pretend."

"Oh yes! That's a wonderful idea. There's cakes, decorations and a big party atmosphere."

Everything but the presents. Yet both Willow and Ivy felt that getting to be here and taking part in the festivities was quite the gift in and of itself. They were far luckier than they had ever been.

Feast. There was little Kossak loved more than a grand feast. This was a fact that wouldn't shock many, given the state of the hulking slab of flesh and meat. It was almost as if the Hutts were having an internal competition as to who could grow into the biggest piece of slime, and Kossak looked well up for it. On Boonta's Eve no less, he intended to honour that age old tradition.

Nem'ro, Desilijic, and Anjiliac, all three were honoured with parades and banners hanging all around. None for clan Hestilic, and it irked him to no end. He was one of the latest members to join in this new iteration of the Hutt Republic of course, and he had done so not long before Boonta's Eve itself. It made sense, of course, and was not intended as a slight towards him. None the less, in the districts on Nar Shaddaa under the control of the Hestilic Kajidic he made sure his own banners and propaganda got the representation it deserved. Kossak would have parades of his own, make no mistake about it.

He had been silent for long, and his operations had gone under the radar of many. Soon it was time to reveal his work. His clan was about to be much better off and represented on more worlds than merely Nal Hutta, Nar Shaddaa and Balosar. A new age was dawning, and the members of the Hutt Republic, he was sure, would continue its rise to wealth and power together.

To the end of Broka the Hutt Broka the Hutt 's speech, Kossak rose a long, deep glass of a dark brown liquid, and emptied it all into the vast abyss of his mouth. He joined his fellow Hutts on the podum in their glorfied seats, which although lavish were not quite as grand as Broka's.

Clan Nirkilic was given no prominence in this Boonta’s eve celebration. No banners. No high seat. Nothing. This would not happen again, he swore to himself. He swore it on the name Nirkilic. Swore it on the blood of the Hutts who came before him and swore it on the spawn that had yet to climb their way from him. By the next festival of Boonta, his name would ring as large as any of them...no larger.

Valturla, head of the Nirkilic clan continued to seethe as a number of guests filed into the elaborately decorated banquet hall. He eyed the paintings adorning the walls that showed the history of the great Hutts and pictured himself amongst them. This new republic would be his way to eternal glory to be larger than Jabba himself.

Further inspection of the room led to Valturla noticing a different sort of decoration. Many Hutts kept beautiful humanoid women around them, twi’leks or humans usually but it was not unusual to see a cathar or zealtron. This however did strike Valturla as exotic. A pair of humans who it seemed were connected bodily. Given the size and scope of the galaxy this was not an altogether strange occurrence, infact Valturla had an aunt/uncle who were to put it in a derogatory way “a two headed hutt ''. But to be in possession of something so delicate and something so rarely seen as these two showed a high level of influence for whichever hutt here who controlled them and there was no doubt that some hutt did control them.

Valturla laughed his deep thunder-like laugh as one of the two gamorrean guards he brought with him made some crude comment. They were twins. Gordo and Odrog two of his best gladiators, the sons of Strong Smelwas the greatest gamorrean gladiator to grace the pits of Nar Shaddaa or the grand arena of Genonosis.

Some hutts kept ex-military or even mandalorians as personal bodyguards, Valturla himself had for a time done the same but for an occasion as ripe for pomp as the Boonta festivities, Valturla thought bringing creatures with such a reputation as his gamorrean gladiators would send the right message. Valturla was hutt with many a business but the one that brought him the most joy if not the most credits was his gladiators. He had no doubt the games that would be held tomorrow to honor the great Boonta would once again be won by a man from his stable.
