OOCLY - feel free to mingle. Six, we could end up trying to find you and interact with your story from the Rutan dom if you like?

A small crooked grin broke across Kaile's face at that. Oh she was able to read the Sullustan in between the lines. As it was, they were all doing a job here. It just was a lonely life at times, not to mention highly mobile.

"Oh, little ones?" it was evident that Kaile was curious but wouldn't press beyond that. She knew that most agents kept their personal lives private. Not only for the safety of their families but for themselves as well.

Taking the cue from Elliott, the pink haired woman took to the windowed seat.

"Ya'll want anything particular to drink?" she offered, suggesting she wouldn't mind grabbing them something.

Vo looked to Kaile, then Locke and back again. He supposed he had broached the subject. He had known Kaile for a long time now through the various iterations that had led to the current SIS. She deserved a little more information.

"Yes," he said, allowing himself the small pleasure of a fond smile. "Two are mine, three more from her other two husbands. We met in the field."

He had been the first husband when she'd decided to retire from the front lines and raise children. That was about as much as he would disclose. Maybe a few pictures of pushed.

"I will just have some water from the fountain I think," he said. Without further consideration he pushed himself up from the table and headed to get a tray. Time for nutrient goo, orange variety.

He watched Vo leave the table for the water fountain with a thoughtful look.

"You know him long, then?" SIS could be both close and distanced as a bonding entity, so in a way it was interesting to see how new and old were slowly integrating and adapting towards the little changes. Organization like this one it was in a state of flux more often than not, he could still remember when their mandate only covered the Alliance itself.

Long time since those early days.

"I will go for a Corellian Noale, maybe a Friz if they don't have that."

That prompted a warmer smile from Kaile. Two younglings. It was an interesting thought, three more younglings from the other two husbands. It was a curious little situation, the polygamy there. How they were able to cope with it all. Granted it was part of their culture, so it ain't like something new.

Compared to what had occurred to a long while ago with Kurt, Asmus, and Jamie... That prompted Kaile to bit her lip. It was a good then then that Elliot caught her attention.

"Aye. Been my handlers for a long while now." she added, straightening.

"He has a funny sense of humor." a bit of a brighter conversation piece.

"Alright, I'll go grab you one." she flashed the agent a wide smile, flashing dimples and a fluff of pink hair in her wake as she departed.

Kiyron

------------------------

The door slid open with a hiss and Kiyron strode in, helmet clasped beneath his arm and cape draped across one shoulder. He seemed tired, with several scratches and bruises across his face, along with a slight limp. He nodded to the others as he ducked through to an inner chamber. A few minutes later, he walked back out, dressed once more in casual clothes that hearkened back to his days with the Wildcards. Infantry force-recon was his original position, but he had grown and changed through the years to now working with the SIS.

He plopped into a chair after grabbing a glass of blue milk. It was always a bit of a wonder to see it. There had been none where he came from. So when he had the chance and didn't have to maintain a cover reputation, that's what he drank. In a SIS listening post, he figured he'd be safe enough. He nodded to the others, face strangely unremarkable and hardly noticeable.

"Don't believe we've met. Kiyron Tabalhar. Recently transferred agent." He didn't mention where he transferred from. That wasn't particiularly important at this point. He kind of bounced around, but his resume was impeccable. "Sorry I missed the earlier work." A bland smile pulled at his lips. "Had to take care of some business on Coruscant."

"Yes the slop again please," Vo reiterated. The droids serving here could be a little slow. They had all their interfaces other than verbal removed and processed everything through several integrity chips. Wouldn't do to have them compromised and recording data for the First Order.

Kaile moved up to join the queue and picked up a tray.

"Funny sense for humour?" He asked quietly. Vo had exceptional hearing.

At this point Elly was just lounging around.

Feet resting lazily on another chair nearby, posture completely crap and not what a SIS agent should be aimed for, but he was tired. And hungry. Mostly hungry and it was starting to gnaw at him right about now. A new face appeared, he didn't know him, strangely non-descript, but Locke was Locke, wasn't he? Spend so much time moving in and out of identities that seeing characteristics and details was second-nature for him at this point.

"Don't we all." He remarked about Coruscant, that dirty little urban ball of scum and villainy. Never liked it much. But at the end of the day everything came back to the 'Pearl' of the Galaxy. Everyone wanted a piece of it and the Alliance currently owned it. Made it his business to care.

"Good to have you aboard, Tabalhar."

After which he transferred his attention back to Kaile and presumably his food she was bringing.

Hopefully.

It wasn't often Kellyn had an opportunity to be outside his armor. Moments like so were few and far between, cherished whenever the opportunity presented itself. The SIS demanded a life of little attachment. Some where made for the role, some forged themselves for it. He felt the desire for human attachment, social opportunity, and emotions, that came with being human. This was the life he chose though - detached from permanent relationships, living life as it came to him.

Interacting with his fellow agents was as near to real relationships as it got for Kellyn. He relished the gathering, the small talk, everything. Thing is though, Kellyn wasn't good at it. His life was one dedicated to his work. He didn't just seek perfection, he strove for it. His commitment to his work often dampened his abilities in other social aspects, resulting in him keeping to himself. Once he put his mask on though, it wasn't a problem for him any longer. It became a part of the job. He'd don that mask once more, in an effort to have that false social butterfly bleed into his normal demeanor.

He swirled his glass of Corellian rum before taking a sip. Every alcohol in this damn bar seemed to be Corellian. With a subtle shrug, he figured that it was probably because the Corellians seemed to know what they were doing with their brews. After grabbing another cube of ice from the freezer, he turned to see another agent there, recognizing her as Kaile Vera. Tilting his head upwards in greeting, he put the ice in his drink. "Howzit?", he asked as he topped himself off on the rum.

[member="Vaal Pal Vo"] would catch a glimmer of the pink haired Lorrdian.

"Slop is slop. Nothing a little curry can't fix." she joked, trying her best to keep a happy attitude about it all. A twinkle in her eyes continued to shine.

"Ain't nuthing wrong with a funny sense of humor, Vo." she elaborated. "It's a good thing." her nose gave a slight wiggle and she beamed a friendly, toothy grin at him.

A glance back at the table caught [member="Elliot Locke"] with a new member there ( @Kiyron. ) "He's pretty friendly. Got someone circling round." she teased, grabbing a small bowl of curried spicy Nuna and rice. Pale blue eyes swung just in time to catch [member="Kellyn Muir"] looking her way with a 'Howzit.'

The nod in greeting would be returned, "Ain't to bad t'all." socializing was one of the few good things they could do while together. Out in the mission field, not so much.

"Ain't looking worse for wear." a puff of hot air blew the pink hair away from her face.

"I don't know, you could have gone with laconic, unique, or perhaps even witty or dry," Vo replied. She didn't need her lorrdian heritage to see that he was not being serious again. It was nice to have a single base of operations for a time. So often he was in rented buildings in cities in enemy territory with a handful of staff. Watching and directing operations.

What he couldn’t tell the others was that they had a new strategy. Deep in Alliance space three frigates were being finished off and being put through several trials. They would be operational centres for the SIS that could operate deep within enemy space. In all likelihood he was going to be the senior operations officer for intelligence on one of the ships. A large crew and a team all of his own. He quite liked the idea. He also liked to see just a glimmer of mischief from Vera, even if it felt a little forced. She had been through a great deal in the last few months.

“Nice to meet you!” he said to Kellyn. “Is it happy hour already?”

The greeting was well met by Kaile, her voice met with a twang of an accent, though from where he couldn't tell. He took a sip of his drink to lower the level from the edge of his glass so it wouldn't spill when he moved it. Normally he'd be more eloquent with his drinks, filling them halfway or just past, but given the private atmosphere and the open bar, he figured why the hell not?

Out of the corner of his eye as he turned to walk towards the skylight, another voiced greeted him. Shifting his eyes, Kellyn removed the glass from his lips and returned it. "Maybe...", he said with a mischievous grin. He took another small sip, the Corellian rum warming himself. He looked outwards through the large skylight window, squinting from the intense sunlight off the bright snow of Rutan. It was a beautiful sight to behold. That was one of the reasons he joined the SIS - for the travel opportunities. For every scum-ridden ghetto he's in, he's in twenty other paradisaical landscapes of pure unrefined beauty.

And now he was in the company of those who might join him on those adventures. This is what camaraderie was really about.

"Kaile, where's that drink you promised?" Locke shouted over his shoulder right at the time that his food arrived. He gave another nod to Kiyron, before digging into his food, mostly because the moment he started eating?

There wasn't gonna be much talking involved. At least not until at least half of it was gone into the grinder anyway. Locke liked this crowd though. Vaal was a strange one, but he was a Sullustan, so that was to be expected. Kaile was bubbly and cute. Kiyron... looked to be a good agent all in all. A bit nondescript, but that all part of the job description he guessed.

People who were too recognizable wouldn't do all that well in the job.

"This stuff's good tho." He mentioned between bites. "Really good."

Slowly the gruff was disappearing in food bliss.

negative walked into the hall very carefully "careful anyone here this suit is expensive" he sat down looking at everyone then back at the black suit he was wearing
