Rhen Qel-Droma
Corellian Jedi
Tier 1 Dominion of Rutan
Rutan was a planet in the Outer Rim Territories, on the Hydian Way. It is ruled by the Rutan Royal Family while Senali is ruled by the Senali Royal Family.
Throughout their history, the people of Rutan had often been engaged in conflict with their species' offshoot race, the Senali. Senali ultimately won, but the conflict was so devastating that a peace agreement was made: the firstborn children of both worlds' rulers would be exchanged at age seven. When the exchangees turned 16, they would return home, to prevent an attack from the corresponding planet.
A Rutanian tradition was to go hunting most days of the week and, after the hunts, the Rutanians would have a huge meat feast. Known Fauna are the Hud and the Kudana, a creature with tough skin that is very selectively allowed to be hunted through a high fine.
Rutan is covered in plains and their major capital is Testa.
Rutanians
Rutanians were the native species of the planet Rutan. Their species had an offshoot called the Senali who inhabited Rutan's own moon Senali.
Senali
Senali was the moon of Rutan. It had four moons of its own. The native Senalis were an offshoot of the Rutanians, and the two peoples had a long history of rivalry and conflict.
Senali was covered in oceans except for small islands the Senalis lived on.The Senalis diet mainly of fruit and fish from the various scattered islands across the moon. The Senalis culture was to wear necklaces and bracelets made of seashells and stones.
Potential Objectives
- PVP & PVE: Border Surveillance Pt II
- PVE Adventure: NJO Mission to find the Kidnapped Princess!
- PVE Adventure & Mingle: Jedi Service Corps ahoy!
You dock into the New Jedi Order Praxeum Ship to meet up with other NJO members and their allies. Named after legendary Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Praxeum shps are designed to reflect the Jedi's general philosophy. Eschewing hard, military lines, the Kenobi-class has a soft hull, curving and sloping to form great wings. Great balls of glasteel were blown and shaped by master craftsman and Jedi alike to create perfect shapes to adorn the hull of the ship. These serve as more than extravagant waste; they are shaped such to allow younglings and padawans a glimpse into the void of space and the life within.
Service Corps include:
- The Agricultural Corps ( AgriCorps)
- Medical Corps ( MedCorps)
- Educational Corps (EduCorps)
- Exploration Corps (ExplorCorps)
Intent: To create a division within the New Jedi Order focused on less militant, more esoteric pursuits.
Membership Requirement:
Size: Four divisions, each with dozens of Jedi and hundreds of borderline/non-sensitive NPCs in addition to PC members.
Description:
The New Jedi Order may be one of the more militant sects of Jedi currently practicing in the galaxy, no Order can persist for long without building something to fight for. So for those whose interests diverge from or exceeds the boundaries of law enforcement and military advisement, there is the Service Corps. While the bulk of the Corps is comprised of those sensitives who don't make it through their Initiate Trials to be taught by a master, some Jedi campaign for postings in order to follow particular passions. Dedicated to improving quality of life both within and beyond Federation space, through their four divisions the Corps seeks not only to serve the Order and the Force but to build a reputation for the Jedi of the Alliance as not just warrior monks but builders of a better galaxy.
Each division is run by a small council of senior members (NPCs) responsible for administrative and logistical oversight, the heads of which report directly to the Grand Marshal.
Agricultural Corps (AgriCorps)
One of the largest Service Corps divisions, the Agricultural Corps uses the Force to nurture crops, protect endangered wildlife, and generally safeguard planetary environments. The AgriCorps have charged themselves with maintaining healthy biospheres on worlds throughout the Alliance and, where possible, beyond. Drought, blight, disease, and imbalance - all pose a threat to order and serenity and can be mitigated through concentrated application of the Force.
Working closely with the Federal Agricultural Administration, AgriCorps members can be found on major food-processing worlds and planets otherwise rich in life throughout the Alliance. While much of the division's work is practical, there are research avenues such as the specialist Jedi Geologists who study the composition of planetary crusts on unfamiliar worlds. While the Agricultural Corps may seem dull to some, its undeniably fulfilling work, and with their tangible contributions to Alliance food production AgriCorps members are certainly one of the most popular facets of the Order as far as the public concerned.
Medical Corps (MedCorps)
A haven for pacifists and practitioners of the healing arts and struggling to balance the Order's more aggressive edges, the Medical Corps is almost an order within an order. By far the most organized division, MedCorps Infirmaries are some of the most advanced facilities in the galaxy and operate on worlds throughout the Federation. Members of borderline Force sensitivity serve primarily as medical technicians and assistants to Jedi healers, although there are programs for Alliance citizens to receive subsidized advanced medical education in return for a term of service working as doctors for the MedCorps upon completion.
Although maintaining a significant presence on Cardea Medical Center above Sullust, the MedCorps is technically headquartered at the Halls of Healing deep within the Sullust Temple. The council that leads the MedCorps, referred to as the Circle of Healers, splits their time between the two locations, torn between their twin duties to help the people of the Alliance and to be there to safeguard key personnel of the Order should an emergency arise.
Educational Corps (EduCorps)
Composed of scholars, teachers, archivists and historians, the Educational Corps represents one of the finest unsung institutions of higher learning and academia in the Galactic Federation. The not an official university as such, the EduCorps nonetheless maintains several state of the art learning facilities throughout Alliance territory, as well as extensive libraries and archives in each Temple of the Order. Although spookily efficient when it comes to organizing their archives, the Educational Corps can be notoriously byzantine in most other matters, as the division is governed by a council more often appointed based on the quality of their research as opposed to their managerial acumen.
While interested in the general acquisition of knowledge, scholars of the division tend to specialize in matters of the Force, working closely with members of the ExplorCorps to catalog, comprehend, and if necessary contain Force resonant artifacts. Those scholars and historians who focus primarily on studying the teachings and relics of ancient Masters as well as the lineages of Jedi and Sith tribes throughout known history are sometimes known as lore keepers.
Exploration Corps (ExplorCorps)
The final division of the Service Corps is the most far-flung. The Exploration Corps considers the whole galaxy its territory, and its members are rarely found in the Temple on Sullust save for the governing council. Instead, they maintain outposts on the fringes of Alliance space and beyond. Also perhaps the most fractured in purpose, the ExplorCorps is affiliated with the Alliance Survey Corps as well as the Intergalactic Zoological Society and Academy of Jedi Archaeology. From consulting on first contact missions to cataloging species on undeveloped worlds for the AgriCorps to remapping hyperlanes to acquiring artifacts and lost writings for the EduCorps and other reputable academic institutions, the Exploration Corps' mission can be as varied as the type of people the division attracts.
There is a subdivision within the ExplorCoprs, large enough to sometimes be considered an unofficial fifth branch referred to as the Diplomatic Corps or DiploCorps, composed of those Jedi whose realm of expertise leads them to consult regularly with Alliance ambassadors as well as occasionally sit in on provincial or intergalactic negotiations.
Membership Requirement:
- Members must either be a Jedi or a civilian with a clean record.
- Members must have some sort of training or background motivation that makes them suited to one of the four divisions.
