Faction Borderlands Diplomacy - MP and GA

Marshal, Journeyman Protector

Myrkr
Hyllyard Hotel

Planet Myrkr in Galactic Alliance space, a green world covered in forests. The globe was sparsely populated with the old city of Hyllyard the main point of civilization among the wild lands. Centrally located in the city is the Hyllyard Hotel, which has been booked out for a conference between the GA and the Mandalorian Protectors.

Representatives from both factions have agreed to attend a diplomatic summit to discuss various issues of concern. Issues to be discussed including fixing borders between the two powers, as well as solidifying various tacit agreements on trade and military access to border worlds to deal with piracy and other myriad concerns.

The green world is covered in an invisible bubble pushing away the Force, generated by the lizard-like tree-dwelling Ysalamiri which are native to Myrkr's forests. The creature's strange ability is an evolutionary defense mechanism to avoid the predations of the native Vornskr, which is known to hunt using the Force. This only affects people who are near Ysalamiri.

The rustic and somewhat backwater town of Hyllyard City is perhaps more apparent of those thousands of barely known Outer Rim planets, though located so close to the Galactic Core. Like the nearby world of Wayland, Myrkr has also seen little to no industrial or civilizational development, having always been sparsely populated, associated more with smugglers than great empires

Hotel Hyllyard is as up market as it gets on Myrkr, with the main lounge and several floors of the hotel booked out for the week to accommodate both Mandalorian and Alliance delegates and their retinues. Basic refreshments, and fairly spartan accomodations are all that can be provided. Little to no fanfare or public interest has accompanied the diplomatic summit, mostly ignored by the locals, despite the potential economic influx, however temporary, to Hyllyard city itself. Nevertheless, the Hotel stands ready to host the summit.

Delegations will be arriving soon from both Alliance and Mandalorian space, to begin the discussions. No doubt there will be one or two surprises to come...

Objective 1 : Take part in the discussions of the future relationship between the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorian Protectors
Objective 2 : Try to find something decent to eat or drink on this backwater planet.
Objective 3 : Hunt Vornskrs in the forests outside the city of Hyllyard.

THE TRADE FEDERATION

TF-div-1.png
The Galactic Alliance found itself encircled by hostile forces, evoking memories of the height of the Second Great Hyperspace War. Instead of facing the Brotherhood of the Maw and the New Imperial Order for dominion over the galaxy, they now confronted the Dark Empire and the Sith Order, both vying for control over the abundant resources located within the Alliance's core territory and each willing to sacrifice the stability of the Galactic Economy to achieve it.

Such reckless abandon for the affairs of the credit, was enough for Laborr to get personally involved, leading him to accompany the diplomatic team from the Alliance on their journey to the surface of the Planet of Myrkr. The planet's strategic importance was minimal, lacking significant value and resources to aid the Alliance's military campaign.

However, its designation as the rendezvous point for the Alliance and the Mandalorian Protectors added a concrete element. His knowledge of the Protectors' current leader and their stance in relation to the renegade Mandalorian faction that pillaged Contruum was limited. Nonetheless, this meeting presented an opportunity to assess their potential and see if they were ready to engage in business discussions with the Federation.

"It seems - I am an early arrival, disappointing considering the immense value that these negotiations have for the Alliance." Laborr's disdain was evident in his tone, despite his stoic demeanor and flat delivery. With the absence of the Alliance to plead their case, he stood as their sole representative, allowing him to steer the discussion in his favor.

"Certainly there are many factors to consider, Viceroy Laborr as to the lateness of the Alliance's represenatives." Oddet expressed his respect towards the Commanding Viceroy of the Trade Federation with a gentle smile and a polite bow, before assuming a neutral posture within the Hotel Lobby. In his capacity as the designated delegate of the Banking Clan in the Federal Assembly, he was present alongside the diplomatic delegation to facilitate the peaceful resolution of any potential conflicts with the Protectors.
The Sith Order advancing after Sullust and the Dark Empire ready to strike the Banking Worlds imminently, the circumstances appeared grim even with new accounts being opened with the Banking Clan as the Alliance gained more territory. This likely prompted the Mandalorian Protectors to engage with the Alliance, seeking to negotiate and assess whether the formidable entity was showing signs of weakness.
"The revitalized Mandalorian-Alliance Pact would provide us with increased financial gains and safeguard the northwestern systems against potential attacks from either the Sith or the Empire of the Lost, which may be seeking outward retaliation following the recent Sith Offensive in their regions." The Muun further commented to the Skakoan.

He was early for the conference. The old saying was that it was okay for you to be late to being early but not late for being on time. It was one of the things his uncle used to say often. And in politics this was especially true. This was why Derek always strove to be early.

Today he arrived wearing his typical black suit, black button up, and red tie. He preferred the color scheme despite the color of his tie matching the glowing crimson hue of his eyes. His pale face was clean shaved, for he always believed in being presentable. Despite the peaceful diplomatic nature of the meeting he came armed as he normally did. The enforcer pistol in a shoulder holster and the beskar knife opposite. At the small of his back rested his collapsible Bo staff. Most would consider bringing weapons to peace talks to be in poor taste. But these were Mandalorians. They would appreciate a delegate willing and able to fight if the need arose.

Though Derek was not a mandalorian, many in his family were. Including his brother, uncle, and their families. Muad, his younger brother, was the alor of his clan. So the delegate from Vaklin was quite familiar with the culture of the mando’ade.

As he prowled the hotel he considered what he knew of the Galactic Alliance and the Mandalorians. More than once the two factions found themselves pitted against one another. But more frequently they were neutral or friendly. Today was a day of hope. To continue a peaceful alliance and, perhaps, even grow the bond deeper to becoming true allies against those who would oppose or threaten one another. It was Derek’s hope to foster such a relationship with the mando’ade. However, he wondered if there would be an underscore of agendas hidden within the peace talks.

Entering the hotel lobby he noticed a sparse grouping of people. But there were two figures he recognized from the Galactic Alliance. The Viceroy of the Trade Federation and the delegate for the Banking Clan in the Federal Assembly. He had received dossiers on both men, as well as the plethora of other players in the GA’s political and economical arena. He had nothing to gain for prolonging his greeting and so he approached the two men with slow even strides.

“Good day Viceroy Laborr and delegate Hallisk. I too agree that it is yet premature to be disappointed in our nations’ representation. It is still early. I look forward to meeting and discussing the benefits shared through another pact or treaty with the Mandalorians. Excuse me, I seem to have forgotten my manners. I am Derek Dib, Viceroy of Vaklin. A pleasure to finally make your acquaintance.”

He gave a slight nod of his head as he looked at both gentlemen.

"Hauum, my dear colleagues Laborr and Hallisk! How stand the shares up?" The deep voice of Bianco Cruhn, senator of the Herglic, thundered through the hall.
The charismatic Cetacean strodes with bold paces to the two scheming politicians.
"Pleased to meet you. I am surprised to see you as the first of our delegates. Do the Mandalorians owe you money?"

He towered even over these two tall aliens as he stands beside them. An elegant cape flowed down his broad shoulders and at the purple silk sash a golden decorated Tapani lightfoil dangled.

In the background, two armored Herglic marines loomed.
It was a show of force, because it was a meeting with the warlike Mandalorians. Peaceful signals would be seen as weakness.

"Hauuum, my navy had already a team up with some Mandalorian mercenaries over Coruscant against pirates and slavers. I could not let this opportunity pass to deepen the connection.
By the way, interested in joint-ventures with our trade fleet? Like your navies, we Herglic like to use well defended ships. Joint convoys would be unbeatable."

Herglic were always eager to do trade business, but Bianco Cruhn was like an atavism of the famous Herlic Empire of old. Bold and straightforward with burning ambition.

Mando Witch (Semi-Retired)
Oligarchs. Elected Officials. An Alliance in the Core.

Marek knew that his genetic template was at least two of those, he’d been in charge of a Techno Union in the past, all the more happy to work with people who had the funds, and were elected, and could be bought, than to not. Marek Rekali, however, was not his template. He did not have a care for the big government. Even the Protectors were a bit too much government for him.

Clan Rekali worked as a company, a covert in its own right, and that suited him just fine. What Marek was doing, was supporting the Mandalorian leadership, just as he was instructed to do. He was a Witch Initiate, and an unbloodied Mandalorian. Beginning his journey in both camps, but having skills beyond his station. He had been in discussions with the traditional Witches regarding this trip, and many of them offered a colorful array of excuses to not enter Myrkr space.

They feared the Ysalamiri, and it wasn’t until he touched down on the world that he understood why.

He couldn’t touch the Force, couldn’t access his Magick. He was not feeling his best as he made his way into the hotel.

Was he supposed to be meeting with the folks from the Alliance. That was why one of the astromechs was following him. This one brown and green with definite teeth marks on its shell. From the Witches.

Those who would talk to the Jetii.

It appeared that the Trade Federation would fail to take advantage of the opportunity to influence the conversation in favor of the oligarch, as an increasing number of senatorial represenatives emerged from their own private shuttles and luxury transports. The Skakoan glanced out of the window of the hotel for just a moment to see a familiar face emerging from the crowd, in Odett Hallisk Odett Hallisk - the Deputy Director of the Banking Clan and Co-Chairman of the Galactic Co-Investment Panel. With the two of them united in a common cause to see the galactic economy thrive, the summit would already be within their back pockets.

"awerororROROROROR...The failure of the Bastion Pact to maintain peace within the galaxy is well-known and does not require further emphasis. The Mandalorians will no doubt exploit the Galactic Alliance for their own gain and security, then dissolve the Pact when it is not longer beneficial to maintain as the New Imperial Order did under Emperor Fel." Laborr said towards the Muun Director, knowing well that the failure of the Bastion Pact would not be forgotten by members of the Galactic Alliance. He understood that the Protectors needed the Alliance if they were ever going to try and repay the debt owed to the Butcher-King for the destruction of Mandalore.

The Skakoan turned for a moment, as Derek Dib Derek Dib approached them both within the lobby. "The pleasure is all mine - Viceroy Dib of Vaklin. Let us hope that a peaceful resolution is achieved between our two powers, considering the financial strain the Alliance would face in funding another war on a different front. Given the movements of the Dark Empire and the efforts of the Sith Order to progress, it is essential that a buffer zone is established as a minimum requirement." Laborr said, acknowledging the precarious financial situation of the Alliance due to the ongoing war with the Sith Order. The Alliance had already established extensive lines of credit to support their efforts, making it difficult for them to secure additional funding quickly in the event of an unexpected offensive by the Protectors.

"As the main drivers of the Alliance Economy - its only proper for the Trade Federation to represent the interests of the corporate sectors during the discussion, as Director Hallisk would agree from the Banking Clan's perspective. As for a joint-venture, we would not oppose such an operation as it would increase the security of the hyperspace lanes, allowing more flow of commerce and services. " Laborr said towards Bianco Cruhn Bianco Cruhn .

Valery stepped into the hotel and let her eyes and senses wander. There were some familiar faces present already. Most notably, representatives of the Trade Federation, who were likely hoping to profit from the Galactic situation. Alliance Senators were already entering as well, and several Mandalorians were among the group she studied. She hadn't met most of them, but she was already glad that they decided to come here to talk.

Rather than copy the Mandalorian Enclave or this newer group raiding planets near Alliance borders.

For now, having no interest in small talk with most of these people, Valery stuck to the sides and observed. Her senses were focused on the building as a whole, waiting to feel a presence more familiar.

She wanted to talk to Arla when given the chance.

Objective 2 - Find something somewhat edible

Hyllyard City—if you looked up "in the bantha end of nowhere" on the holo-net, you'd probably find a picture of this place. It was strange seeing such a remote world so close to the Core, but with so many planets out there, not all of them could be bustling like Coruscant. Not that it bothered Kai. Today marked the completion of a successful escort job, which meant the credits were flowing in, and that called for a little celebration.

Upon reaching what he assumed was a cantina, Kai heard some interesting news: fellow members of the Protectors had arrived on the planet for diplomatic reasons. That was all the information he'd managed to gather. Under Kaivic, most of Clan Bralor had avoided politics as much as possible, preferring action over stuffy meetings.

Ordering a drink, Kai moved to an empty table to relax.

"Drawing a parallel between the Bastion Pact and a potential Mandalorian-Alliance Treaty would be unjust, as the Protectors represent a distinct faction within Mandalorian society. Unlike Emperor Fel, who betrayed the Alliance, the Protectors prioritize the defense of their planet and the well-being of their populace over expansionist ambitions." Oddet conveyed to the Skakoan the importance of not immediately labeling the Protectors as enemies of the Galactic Alliance.
Instead, Oddet was open to allowing the Protectors to present their perspective during the meeting, in order to determine whether they were peaceful individuals or aggressive crusaders.
Upon the arrival of the Viceroy of Vaklin, a gentle expression graced their features, indicating familiarity with the individual mentioned in historical IGBC documents dating back to the era when the Confederacy operated under the Galactic Credit system before encountering issues with the bank.
" - Ah yes, the Viceroy of Vaklin is extremely welcome at these proceedings. I'm sure things have changed much since the downfall of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, I hope you are adjusting to life within the Galactic Alliance." He conveyed, as the conversation turned towards talks of business with the arrival of Bianco Cruhn Bianco Cruhn of the Herlic Trade League, who wanted to know if the Banks would be interested in collaboration.
" I hold great respect for the determination of the Herlic Species, and we find no issues in engaging in a mutually beneficial partnership with the convoys under your safeguard. Collaboratively, we can effectively safeguard the unrestricted movement of goods and services without entangling ourselves in minor disputes among prominent groups." The Muun said with a rather nasily voice, wanting to partner with the Trade Federation for such a lucrative business opportunity.

"Care for some company?"

A dark shadow suddenly darkened Master Noble's left. Alicio was known for his quiet entrances, but without the Force to alert her, it would seem as if he'd appeared out of thin air. Dressed in a dark, understated coat, the King and Senator of Alderaan offered the Jedi Master a slight smile, though a dear friend might see the rippling tension beneath the calm.

Of course they'd sent Alicio to the negotiation table. He perhaps had the most experience out of anyone in the Assembly in dealing with modern Mandalorians, having orchestrated a successful settlement between the GA and the Enclave. He had a diplomat's background, and was previously educated on the culture. Despite all of that, however, he had his doubts about today.

The Galactic Alliance hardly presented a unified front in this negotiation. Alicio didn't recognize the form of Derek Dib Derek Dib , but he'd found some respect for Herglic Space's Bianco Cruhn Bianco Cruhn in the Senate. He was certainly hesitant of the Banking Clan's Odett Hallisk Odett Hallisk , despite his vested interest in protecting his homeworld, and the Trade Federation's Rulonom Laborr Rulonom Laborr , who Alicio had butted heads with many times over the years. The Corporatists were out in force, it seemed.

Alicio didn't need his precognition to see the potential pitfalls in their future. But he had a plan. And that plan involved being at Val's side.

"You know I can sense you just fine, right?" She looked over her shoulder, having felt him before he even entered the building, and flashed Alicio a teasing little grin. "You have to get a lot closer to Ysalamiri for their bubbles to start working." She chuckled and turned away to look into the meeting room again.

Already, she felt much better.

Valery was many things, but a politician wasn't one of them. She could be diplomatic and offer her advice, but having someone like Alicio here to represent the Alliance was important. He could genuinely represent it id no other prominent senators showed up.

She almost hoped they wouldn't.

"You doing alright? I sense some...tension." Her smile softened and her gaze lost its teasing edge. She wanted to be helpful. "How are you feeling about today? About these Mandalorians?"

Sahan-Banner-test.webp

Sahan sat quietly, waiting for the negotiations. He wanted to see how things went with his own eyes. He wanted to see if the "Protectors" had really become a bunch of sopping cowards who would bend their knee to the treacherous Alliance, only to eventually be stabbed in the back.

He was, of course, in disguise. Using a holoshroud he had rigged himself, Sahan had overlayed the image of a completely different set of armor over his own. Actually, in a fit of nostalgia, Sahan had made it look similar to the very first beskar'gam he had ever had, which was a simple grey, blue, and brown. None of the Alliance would recognize it.

It still blocked the Force, obviously, considering it was only a projection. But that in itself wouldn't even stand out. He was not the only Mandalorian to use Force-cancelling materials. And Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch herself was apparently a Force Dead. That thought made him shiver. He wondered what the Mandokarla would have to say about a vod who had been completely cut off from the view of the Manda. Were they even Mando'ade anymore? Either way, it was not for him to say, so he made no judgement.

Sahan had to hold back a spark of rage at seeing Valery Noble Valery Noble . She had been the one who had killed Shai Maji Shai Maji , and had still never answered for it. But he was not here to fight, at least not right now. He was here only to observe. He would only interfere if he felt it was absolutely necessary...

He also noticed Alicio Organa Alicio Organa . He had never personally met the man, but by all accounts he could find, he seemed like one of the more respectable members of the Galactic Alliance. Sahan really hoped that was true. Perhaps if more of their Senate were like he appeared to be, then maybe the hostilities between the Alliance and the Enclave would have never happened.

But who knew? There was no need for dwelling on what might have been, only what was and what might be. So, Sahan sat there, not speaking, only waiting.

Objective 1

Djikra dropped out of the blur of hyperspace to see the lush planet below. Ah the place that supposedly can dampen the winds of life & death. She thought while moving the controls deftly her fighter quickly descended to the surface. She quickly disembarked and gathered the feminine programmed R3-J9 with it's clear dome & painted with night sister red and ichor green accents.

After a short travel where Djikra checked a couple of times whether her grey skin concealing magick's were still active. She wandered into the Hyllyard Hotel. But before she made it into the structure she could feel at least one strong in the force. Hmm... A Jedi, much like Addison Porte Addison Porte

Walking into the chamber she sees an array of people, none of which were familiar. For now Mother Elnev just went off to the side, it was the best move given she didn't know how much power her being one of the three heads of The Great Desert Clan of Night Sisters would afford her. Especially within the realm of new negotiations with the Galactic Alliance delegation & Mandalorian Protectors.

Myrkr
Hyllyard City Hotel
Equipment : Usual
Objective : Talk.

Myrkr space was relatively quiet, as was to be expected of such an underdeveloped border world. Initial contacts between the Alliance and Mandalore to set up the diplomatic summit had made provision for a Mandalorian flagship and escorts to enter GA space and head to Myrkr for the conference. Deciding to play on the tensions, Arla had taken the "and escorts" to a quite liberal degree of definitive manipulation, and brought the equivalent of two entire sector fleets to the meeting.

The arrival was suitably stage managed, as the flagship Journeyman emerged from lightspeed first, giving the watching Alliance sensors what they expected to see. "Let them relax." Said Grand Admiral Kano Hades, in overall command of the Governor's flagship and escorts, watching the green planet below his ship. "And clear the Governor's shuttle for launch."

After half a minute, the next five ships dropped out from light speed, sister ships to the flagship, in a crisp line abreast formation. With no further delay, another twenty smaller star destroyers came out of lightspeed behind the battleships, taking their positions in the formation. Smaller escorts, and carriers began to drop out from hyperspace, filling out the escort armada. As the fleet finished arriving, numbers totalled out to well over a hundred warships.

Arla's shuttle was just launching from Journeyman, its tiny form dwarfed by the titanic warships arrayed around the flagship. Grand Admiral Hades aboard Journeyman had the pleasure of exchanging diplomatic greetings with the planetary officials, and assuring them that nothing was amiss, they were merely the Governor's escorts. However thin his excuses were, the fleet presented no aggressive posture, shields down, weapons cold, and fighters docked.

The shuttle fell away from the fleet quickly and shot down through Myrkr's skies towards Hyllyard City. Landing smoothly, the shuttle deposited its passengers to the surface efficiently. Arla Rodarch, along with her two bodyguards in gold helmets flanking her, strode down Hyllyard's main street towards the Hotel. Behind the three, the eight rangers of the Journeyman second also exited the shuttle, already fanning out to secure the area ahead of the conference.

Arla smiled behind her own gold helmet, thinking of the potential alarm their arrival must have caused. The Grand Admiral had wanted to go further, landing a full army on the planet, but Arla had rightly pointed out it would be hard to justify such actions as friendly or even avoid a full blown conflict. They'd made their point well enough.

These negotiations were going to be tough. The political climate on Mandalore was more than restless, with the people crying out for the old ways. Old ways brought up old wounds, and the Jedi had committed many historical crimes against the Mando'ade. Arla had to convey this position to the Alliance without provoking an outright conflict. She wanted to fight through the Imperials to get to the Sith, not get caught up in war with the Galactic Alliance. But she also had to justify the situation to the people of Mandalore.

Flanked by Irina and Tirgacca, an Echani and a Wookiee, both clad in fur over their beskargam with the gold helmets of the Journeyman Protector Hammerers, Arla in her own more basic golden beskar'gam entered the hotel. She removed her own helmet, while her escorts did not, both taking up position beside the main doors. Irina was short, only six feet, while Tirgacca overtopped even her boss, at eight feet tall. "That one's using a holoshroud." Irina said. Arla nodded. "Watch that one." The Journeyman Protectors would keep an eye on the sneaky one.

Walking alone into the main room, Arla accepted a drink from a waiter, and sipped at the fruit juice, surveying the very basic interior of the hotel. There'd be some basic mingling before the conference got underway, she surmised. She would have her work cut out for her.

HYLLYARD CITY HOTEL, MYRKR

Myrkr is a weird planet to be having a galactic level conference. It’s not a sophisticated planet, it doesn’t represent the might of the Alliance at all. It’s most likely why this planet is chosen, however. Our counterpart in this conference today aren’t the most sophisticated folks. I’ve been to the areas of the Outer Rim where the Mandalorians are active as guns-for-hire, smiths, and criminals, and it’s always the same with those people. Crass, dirty, proud, and emotional.

They haven’t been at their best behaviour recently, one sect dealing heavy damage in a short war when I was still an Alliance Marshal, but considering our current state, we can’t afford to open another war front. And this conference, filled with arrogant senators and dogmatic Jedi, we simply cannot afford to fumble it. The invisible hand of SIA shall not let it go outside of our control.

<A couple of famous faces, your friend Alicio is here, hand-in-hand with the Grandmaster, and a couple of Trade Federation representatives, including the Viceroy,> I informed The Director The Director through the comms, as I’m sipping my glass of water near a column close to the corner of the table. This building is not bugged, it’s too risky as we can’t afford to be discovered, so I’m acting as his eyes and ears today.

<Good. Keep an eye on who’s hanging out with who.> The Director answered, cold as he always is.

<Mmmhm, copy that.>

Then a tall Mandalorian draped in golden Beskar’gam, sans the Buy’ce, entered the hotel’s main room. That must be the Governor. The Beskar’gam matches the one in our dossier, and the face makes it even more certain.

<She’s here, alone. Gosh she looks magnificent,> I whispered.

You can never not be in awe looking at a Mandalorian warlord in-person for the first time. For all their faults, the ones who managed to grab leadership amongst those unruly folks are always a scary, wonderful bunch. They look like they are born and built for this, and they sure as hell are even more dangerous than they look.

<You think you can get something?>

<Nah, she’ll see right through me. Besides, Alicio and Val are making their way towards her.>

Maybe not directly. I made my way closer to the center of the room, fixing my hair and taking an apple, trying to observe across the room if there’s something to dig around before the conference starts.

<Alright, talk in a bit boss.>

Senator of Vaklin, 1st Siskeeni Advisor
He allowed his lips to twitch in response to the fall of the Confederacy. The CIS were still remembered, whether famously or infamously, it mattered little at this point. Derek always held an uneasiness with those with a wealth of power. Their agendas seemed to always come to the front. This meeting would be no different.

"A peaceful resolution is always the preferred outcome, Viceroy Laborr. The alternative is … a waste of resources."

A slight nod was offered with the words before Derek turned crimson eyes to Director Odett Hallisk Odett Hallisk .

"I find most political maneuvering within large governments share a commonality of structure. The military typically want more spending on the defense budget. Economically inclined systems wish for mutually beneficial accords for financial growth. Force organizations desire a larger umbrella of operations. And then the smaller, or less fortunate, systems merely try not to be swept away by the current. Rest assured, Director Hallisk, I am adjusting quite well. If the two of you will excuse me, I find myself parched."

He gave the other men a nod and eased away. Their words gave him a better understanding of each of them. Combined with the files he received, Derek would contemplate the information gathered at a later date. But for now he accepted a flute of some locally sourced sparkling fruit juice and perused the other entries.

He felt the Jedi Valery Noble Valery Noble enter. It was difficult to mask that kind of powerful aura in the force. He had yet to make her acquaintance. Near her was a young man he also recognized. Alicio Organa Alicio Organa was known to him. He idly wondered if the young monarch was aware of their familial ties. Derek suppressed an amused smile.

Having spent time amongst the Nightsisters of Dathomir when he was a young man and, in more recent history, the Mandragora he could feel the familiar strands from Djikra Elnev Djikra Elnev who kept to the side. He briefly wondered what she wished to have accomplished at the meeting. But time would tell. Glowing red eyes brushed her face and he gave a slight bow of honor for the woman before turning to the newly arrived Mandalorians.

Arla Rodarch Arla Rodarch made an impressive entrance in her beskar'gam while she removed her buy'ce. As she entered words were spoken and he noticed her attention move to another mandalorian in the room, Sahan Dragr Sahan Dragr . The look was neither filled with camaraderie or malice. But there was a watchfulness that caused the Vaklin representative to mark the male mando.

Several others moved about the floor. Some were obviously security while others were more discreet. For a moment he briefly wondered just what each side wished to achieve. Derek took another sip of the golden liquid in the glass and resisted the urge to shrug. Soon agendas would become transparent.

That was a productive meeting, even before the Mandalorians arrived! "Excellent, dear Odett Hallisk Odett Hallisk ! And thanks for your support, Viceroy Rulonom Laborr Rulonom Laborr ! Prosperity for all is the fundament to build a civilization. I will send you attaches for the details of treaties."
The massive senator and leader of the Herglic had opposed the Viceroy sometimes in political affairs, but it was nothing personal and Bianco was certain reasoning and commerce would always a uniting factor.

As he saw Alicio Organa Alicio Organa the Herglic went to meet him, his muscled arms wide and a broad smile of small cone shaped fangs flashing.
"Your majesty! So pleased to meet you! What would your disposition toward the Mandos may be, I wonder?"

He also greeted the enigmatic painted woman Djikra Elnev Djikra Elnev with a formal bow and suggested hand kiss. "What a bright star is shining in this dark halls? For which party you may speak, dear lady?"

The Mandalorians on the other hand, the Herglic did not approach before the others did.

Still in his holoshroud disguise, Sahan stood and crossed the room to where Rodarch was. Her retinue seemed to be wary, but they were not fast enough to prevent him from pulling his beskad and lopping off the Governor's head. At least, what looked like her head. One of her posse tried to dive to catch the head and keep anyone from seeing the truth, but Sahan had already pulled his gun and put a verpine-powered slug through her skull. He caught the two rushing at him underneath the chin each with vibrodaggers from his vambraces. They all fell to the floor, dead.

As everyone turned with shocked faces to see what had just transpired, the disguised Sahan pointed at the head and the exposed circuitry jutting out of the neck. "This Arla was a fake. The real one died over Contruum. I checked myself. And beyond that, after some digging, it was found that she was no true Mandalorian. She was never adopted into Clan Rodarch; she stole that name. She definitely had never completed the required verd'goten. And above all, during a prison escape, she killed an old Mandalorian who had been imprisoned with her. As such, she has been judged and executed by the Mando'ade."

He picked up the droid head that imitated Arla Susni. "This was a coverup done by her followers, also not of our people. They wished for you to not know of Susni's demise or her background. They did not wish for you to know that she had been setting you all up, that she had been planning to try to send the Mandalorian Protectors to war against the entire Galaxy, in whatever way she could imagine in that twisted head of hers. What you have witnessed here today was the prevention of open war between Mandalore and the Galactic Alliance. I hope you appreciate that."

Sahan took the head over to where Valery Noble Valery Noble stood and dropped it at her feet. He held back his rage at the woman. It would have been so easy to kill her here and now. Something inside him told him he should slash her neck, rip out her throat, and... But he pushed the thoughts back. Now was not the time. He would have his fight with the Jedi, but he knew Yuri Maji Yuri Maji had the greater claim to Noble. She had taken his mother. Showing no emotion from behind his helmet, Sahan gave only a simple, "Jetii," and turned and walked out, not looking back.
