Description: The BoSS Navicomputer is designed with the current advances of galactic travel in mind. In times passed a Navicomputer could hold only a few hyperspace routes at a time and needed to have astrogation data uploaded for the next jump if not already saved in the Navicomputer, a process that could take precious minutes. With the new Navicomputer installed and hololinked to a BoSS server, the upload time is reduced to mere seconds. What about routes not currently known or used? The BoSS system is able to use astrogation data from galactic mapping systems to plot new safe routes in as little as thirty seconds.
This system also has a remote access link. So, in the case of software malfunction a BoSS technician can perform maintenance remotely upon request. BoSS is not responsible for tampering with Navicomputer systems by individuals or droids that do not have an administrator password that is provided to the ship owners upon installation. Tampering can result in fatal hyperdrive malfunction and hardware maintenance should only be performed by qualified technicians. Maintenance should also not be performed while in hyperspace as it could result in prematurely exiting hyperspace and subsequent death.
If no technician is available hyperspace jumps can be plotted and initiated by BoSS technicians with the correct passwords. BoSS Navicomputer also does monthly scans of linked ship systems for the purpose of applying appropriate software updates.
