Botany Bay a second take

Botany Bay – 2.0

Sam had a few hours to kill before she started up her training with Sirella again, she wondered if picking the woman out of several applicants was a good idea. Most sith, chose their apprentice but in this case in an odd way they chose each other. Deciding not to focus on silly things such as that, Samanthe looked up towards the ceiling of the room she was given. The thing was covered in vines and flowers, the apprentice started to develop a love of the arrangements, it was probably Sirella rubbing off on her.

Laying in the bed she looked over at the manual of mouse droids, she had recently required a friend and wanted to make sure he was in tip-top shape. Her eyes closed remembering home. She regretted nothing, she got what she wanted and that was power. Her parents were nothing, but greed and so where her elder siblings. The younger ones though, they were sickly the cause of inbreeding. Samanthe was strong – stubborn, but strong. Shaking her head, she stopped thinking of hope and returned her gaze to the ceiling.

“Sirella needs to grow new plants…”

Sasha ran through the plant covered halls of the Botany Bay. She hadn't seen Sam in so long, and now was her chance. "Samanthe," she called as she ran. Sam had been taken in by Sirella and started her training as a sith. The girl was relatively new to the Botany Bay but Sasha had been here before with her master. Sasha reached the door and waited for it to open up for her. Sasha jumped on Sam immediately after the door opened up. "Samanthe!"

Sam sat up quickly as she heard the door open, it seemed she forgot to lock it when she had entered the room. A familiar voice echoed in the hallway and Samanthe shot up from where she was laying and moved towards the door. A smile spread across the young apprentice’s face as she watched her oldest friend, before she could react Sasha jumped at her and Sam caught the girl for a minute and looked at her.

“I uh, hey Sasha I didn’t know you were on here, how have you been?”

She smells good despite being on a ship full of compost…

She released her friend and crossed an arm in front of her chest, her hand rubbed up and down her bicep as she waited for Sasha’s answer. Both girls had been friends before all of this, they were both nobles and it was important that they develop a bond – for important trade of course.

"I have been great," Sasha replied with a smile. "The Empress has started to teach me things, but I'm herefor you. I heard you were on board." She couldn't help herself. "I'm here to see you, oh and have you met Hylo yet?"

Sam had kept herself on the ship, mostly because she was terrified of the plants. Seeing Sasha smile made her smile in return. Moving out of the door way she sat at the small desk in the room and crossed her leg over the other, an elbow propped up her hand so her head could rest as she listened to the excited Santhe heir.

“I had no idea you were here. Is the Empress strong?”

The mention of Hylo caused the smile of the girl to fade. Sasha seemed too excited for this Hylo to just be some random person on the ship

“No I haven’t, is he your boyfriend?”

"The Empress is the greatest Sith!" Sasha didn't mean anything by the comment she was just conveying her excitement. "It is so great, I'm learning so much, and the people they know I'm the empress's apprentice." A small smile pursed on her face, "And Hylo isn't my boyfriend. He is Sirella's adorable kid! He's so cute, you should totally meet him! I'm sure he's around here somewhere." She pulled Sam's hand and started to drag her to the door. "Come on Sam! He's also so totally hot, you'd love him!"

Being dragged along Sam did her best to resist, but she didn’t mind being pulled along by the Santhe girl. It was how they always were, Sasha got excited over things and Sam was calm and collected about things. It was just the dynamic of their relationship. To be fair, Hylo this “adorable” boy was the last thing she wanted to meet.

“Sasha you know how I feel about boys!”

Seeing she wasn’t going to win, she did her best to keep up with Sasha. A part of her didn’t like the fact that she thought he was ‘like totally hot’, though Sasha had weird taste in people. Shrugging, she continued to follow if he was a creeper she’d just kill him and deal with Sirella’s wrath later.

Sashe ran down the hallways looking this way and that all the while chatting about the coming and goings of Lianna. It was trivial and didn't matter. She split from the main path and entered Hylo's garden, she knew the boy was always there. The vegetation was thick, but she knew her away around from last time. The garden's though their trees had changed were still located in the same stops. They turned a corner and she saw Hylo sitting in a field planting some seeds and signing a song. "Hylo," she called.

The boy turned and looked at her and froze. Sasha let go of Sam's hand and charged. "Sahsa..." he called standing up and looking like he was about to bolt. It was too late though. The girl had pounced and soon had him in her grip. She walked with the boy trapped in her arms toward Sam.

"Isn't he just adorable?" He was wearing his customary shorts and nothing else his face blushing green.

Sam stood behind as she watched Sasha attack the poor boy. A raised eyebrow she watched and took in his reaction towards her friend. It was obvious he didn’t want anything to do with her and seemed to try and avoid the girl at all costs. Scratching the side of her face slightly with her finger she gave the two a crooked smile.

This was quite the awkward situation.

“Um, sure whatever you say Sasha, but I’m afraid he doesn’t want to be near you. Poor kid.”

"I'm not scared of her." Hylo said blushing. "She just gets rough and I don't like it rough." He stared at Sam with pleading green eyes.

"Aw all he mans is he doesn't like it when I man handle him." Sasha squeezed him rightly and rocked back and forth on her heels. The boy moved with her and she smiled. "But he is adorable. I thought you two should meet. After all he is your masters son."

"Mother speaks highly of you," Hylo responded. "But don't tell her I said so, I don't think she wants you to know. Sith can be tricky like that." The youth stared up and down at Sam and blushed, she was pretty enough but she was no Spencer.

"Uh your secret is fine with me Hylo?"

Sam raised her eyebrow. She didn't know Sirella had a son the woman didn't share such pleasantries with her. Though his weak demeanor was something Sirella wasn't probably proud of. It was still interesting to see the boy just stand there and take Sasha's torment. Sam blushed a little as she heard that Sirella spoke highly of her. From the way the woman acted she didn't think she would have ever spoke highly about anyone. Still, it made Samanthe feel good about herself. Looking towards Sasha she smirked and poked a little fun at the girl.

"My Mistress speaks highly of me, what about you Ms. First apprentice of the Empress?"

Sasha frowned and stared daggers at her friend. "Ashin isn't as open with her praises," she said with a frown. Hylo tried to use that moment to escape her grip and run but Sasha was ready. "She's teaching me all sorts of things." She squeezed Hylo tightly into her. "And she is the Empress, that can only help my status." Reaching out a hand she patted Sam's arm, "Sirella's is great too though. Dark Master and all."

"You're still going on about your status?"

Spencer made her appearance, she had arrived on Botany bay to meet with Sirella later to work on her defenses against Sith Magic. The girl had gotten rid of her boring jedi attire and replaced it with a black tight fitting tunic that had a corset type of design with the front being tied together by a leather cord. Her lightsabers hung from her loose utility belt and she crossed her arms looking at the girls and Hylo. She didn't wear the mask here, people know who she was and her ties with Ashin. Still though she wore the necklace that scrambled her force aura.

"Hey Hylo and....you're the new girl?"

Sam raised an eyebrow and nodded, she hadn't met this blonde girl. Deciding not to exchange to many pleasantries she just kept her mouth shut and looked towards Sasha. Apparently the two knew each other.

Hylo squirmed in Sasha's arms breaking her grip and running toward Spencer. He jumped up with arms wide and embraced her in a hug. "This is the one I was telling you about Sam," Sasha said with venom in her voice. "You're still a gutter trash whore I see." Sasha said sticking her nose up. "The Empress isn't enough, now you have to resort to stealing the innocents of young boys?"

Spencer hugged Hylo and eventually wiggled her way out of his hold. The boy was like glue sometimes. She dusted herself off from some of the soil that had rubbed off on her. Sam on the other hand moved towards Sasha and sized Spencer up with her gaze, the girl was interesting and she had not heard the name before, why was Sasha mentioning the Empress. Her question would be answered soon enough. Sam looked again towards Sasha and shrugged.

"She doesn't look like much"

Ignoring Samanthe, she focused on Sasha and chuckled softly. There was a bit more confidence from her, she wasn't the pathetic little Jedi running around lost among Sith. She was now someone of importance and Sasha was going to know this right here and now. Shrugging, Spencer titled her head and rested her hand upon her cheek.

"Sasha, is that anyway to address the First Apprentice of the Empress?"

Sasha stuck her nose up at the girl. "You're nothing but a whore, and I wouldn't kowtow to you."

Hylo ignored everything and looked up at Spencer, "Mother said you have improved alot in growing. Said you made a flower for her." Hylo lifted up his hand and a plant sprouted from it turning into a flower.

"You can make flowers can you?" Sasha taunted. "What a skill, no doubt worthy of the Empress's attentions." Her sarcasm saturated the entire room.

Spencer's eyes narrowed for a moment, she could feel the jealousy vibrating off of Sasha. The girl was something else, so entitled never knowing what it was like to lose something or to fight for it. Unlike before, Spencer growled as she warned the young Santhe girl. The last thing she needed was to get a scolding for hurting Sasha, though it would be a lesson she desperately deserves.

"Sasha, you should stop while you're ahead. Don't make me prove to you why Ashin has taken favor with me."

While she spoke, she opened her hand revealing a seed. She quickly had it grow and sprout providing a friend for Hylo's flower. Sam narrowed her eyes as she sized up once again the blonde girl. She wanted to see what she had to offer and why she was allowed to call the Empress by her first name. There was something up and Samanthe didn't like it.

"I'm sure interested in seeing why you're so damn special."

"She isn't special," Sasha said with utter contempt in her voice. "I would kill her now if the Empress would allow it," she spat. She prepared herself subconsciously for a possible mental assault from the empath. The two stared daggers at one another.

"So mother is going to teach you Magic?" Hylo interjected curiously, "I can't do it she says," he continued.

"And neither can she." Sasha interrupted out, "I could do it, because I'm a better Sith than she could ever be, and soon everyone will know it."

"You'll never be able to do anything but run your mouth Sasha. Humble yourself before I do it for you. "

Spencer spoke sternly towards the other apprentice. They were equals, yet far separate from each other. As first apprentice she gained some authority, but Sasha was correct she wouldn't be able to use Sith magic.

"Has Ashin told you to not touch me? If she has its only to protect you. Though I welcome your challege bantha dung"

"Who would want to touch you?" Sasha said quickly storming over toward Spencer. She grabbed onto Hylo and pulled him toward her gripping him firmly in her arms. "You can't even use the darkside, but I can." Her eyes lit as the strikes of lightning. "And he's with me," she said pulling Hylo tightly to her.
