Bounding boots are budget repulsor boots employed by a wide variety of military forces as well as individual sportspersons who enjoy hyper-parkour. It allows leaps to be made of up to 20 meters in length or height, and can be used to make impressive bounding advances. They also allow individuals to run right up the sides of buildings, hang down from ceilings, etc. For a small additional fee, these bounding boots can be built into existing armor boots which are part of armored suits. Although jump distance is limited to 20 meters, safe descent is practically infinite because the repulsors in the boots can slow an individual prior to landing when they are in freefall. Gyroscopes in the heels of the boots can lock orientation to prevent a user from landing on their head. While not as good as full-flight repulsor boots or flight packs, Bounding Boots multiply the mobility options of soldiers, security personnel, and edgy teens.
