Bounty board discussion

So we've the bounty board for about a week or so and I've been tossed a few things to chew on.

Here is one recommendation.

"As it seems, the Administrators frowned upon the concept and merged the account, irregardless if it provided a safe haven away from metagaming. The person behind anonymous is Luminous.

As a suggestion for the Bounty Board, perhaps keep a tab on if the thread is In-Character or Out-Of-Character as those who reply are both In-Character and Out-Of-Character responses.

Luminous."

Should we have some set guidelines? I know I've had to hide posts that dealt beyond the pg13 rule and some spam irrevalent to the bounties.

Should the threads be strictly ic? Should I offer an anonymous ability to post via pming the factory judge to post it? Make a bounty board npc char ?

Just tossing ideas out there. Thoughts?

The anonymous bounty feature already exists. They simply need to enter "anonymous" into the "name of contractor" field.

Threads do not need to be strictly IC. People tend to have OOC questions pertaining to bounties.

I think that if something is tagged as Anonymous (and a prefix wouldn't be too bad an idea alongside using the field provided) then the person who put it up should be protected ICly from metagaming. The reason I - as it was myself who did it - merged the Anonymous account is due to the 1 writer profile per person rule.

I don't think you need to write guidelines stating that they need to be relevant to the threads, that should be obvious. Just like there isin't rules against teleporters, or making monsters that can kill anything that falls in their shadow. It's just obvious.

But, then again, I'm not a factory judge. So. Ignore me if ya' like. :p

I would state that everything posted had to be relevant and on topic in an IC manner. I've had to inform people not to post irrelevant OOC text in Bounties before now.

If the prefix hasn't been set up then I can do so [member="Danger Arceneau"] [member="Ashin Varanin"]

I'd like to be able to make a small "Bounty Board Guidelines" that includes the following:

1. Please do not spam the Bounty Threads with OOC chatter that is not relevant to the bounty.
2. If a bounty is to be posted as "Anonymous" please ensure that a secure method of payment is available. Notice that an anonymous bounty is bound to be looked upon with suspicion and wariness if it will pay --- odds are Bounty hunters may request half up front by whatever means necessary.
3. The option for slicing into the Bounty Board and investigating who posted an anonymous bounty can be done through an IC Dev thread. Just make sure you tag the OOC person who created the bounty to begin with.

Or something written far more simpler than that, but the general gist of it.
