Bounty Hunting / Deaths

After a while of consideration and somewhat giving up on looking for Bounty Hunter character face claims (if you know any PLEASE tell me about them), I've considered being one of many bounty hunters on the SWRP:Chaos board. But how does bounty hunting work? Can I just jump into someone's thread and say 'Hey, I'm here to kill you for _______'. Or do I have to plan it out with the person?

Also, how do character deaths work? Do I just kill the person in a thread and thats it, their character is dead? Or do I have to plan that out with them as well and have their consent? Thanks for any answer here

If it's a thread in Open Role-Play and is marked open as such, you're more than welcome to join if you've viable in character knowledge and rationale for being there. Sometimes it's fun to be spontaneous and try to take on a bounty, but it's usually preferable that you PM the other writer and plan something out. Cooperate, my guy.

Yes. You need their consent.

We have a section in the Factory called the Bounty Board (Or something like it) Where people post their bounties for bounty hunters to collect.

You've probably gotten the response you need, but yes, from my perspective, it's better to work out a capture with someone, because then you have an idea and you're not writing confused and you know what to write about. As for deaths, I have experienced this myself on another site and definitely, definitely, definitely ask if that person wants their character to die or not. Because they probably have plans for them that you don't know about. A brand new character I had made on another site was never supposed to be killed and a dude I wasn't informed of came in and power gamed and killed my character in the process without consulting me and it went too far and in the end the wrong person (me) was banned.

But yes, whoever you're planning to capture/kill, I highly suggest consulting them before doing so.
