Bounty on Ali Hadrix: Summoned to appear before the Alor Council

(OOC: Excerpt from a private thread. Full post here.)

Olivia sat down the documentation and pressed a new button. This one activated a holorecorder.

Cold blue eyes staring into the recorder, Olivia delivered the following message.

"My name is Olivia Dem'adas. Chief of the Dem'adas Clan. Member of the Alor Council. Kin of the Worldslayer." She began. "Due to recent events, and with no Mand'alor to speak for the clans, I take it upon myself to issue the following statements on behalf of the Mando'ade."

"This is [member="Ali Hadrix"]." Olivia said coldly. She would insert an image of the woman before she transmitted the message. "Supreme Commander of the Galactic Republic's military. Born of one Myra Hadrix on Commenor, Ali Hadrix is a Mandalorian by birth and by training. Fully knowing our honor, our traditions, and our code... Ali Hadrix issued the following insults to the Mando'ade, directly challenging the Slayer of Dromund Kaas."

Before being transmitted, a recording of Ali Hadrix's verbal statements would be spliced into the transmission. From her own messages transmitted openly, the following.

"To any and all Mandalorian forces in the system, you are asked to return to your vessels and leave Republic space. You cannot win a war with us. We are better equipped than you. We are better trained than you. We are more organized. And we have the Jedi on our side. Do not start what you cannot finish."
"More importantly, the woman knowingly issued orders that directly led to the death of numerous civilians and at least one member of the Jedi Order. One Aaralyn Rekali." Olivia added. At this point, she'd splice in audio recordings recovered from the security systems of Nickel One.

"Get to front line defensive areas outside the hangars and any other access points. Mount your defenses there. If you lose ground, retreat and seal it off behind you, then use the overrides to vent the lost sections to space. We'll be able to get plenty of them that way. Once it's done, clear the vented areas, and reestablish fighting positions. If that's not possible, use your best judgement."
"As of this moment," Olivia began. "I, as Chief of Clan Dem'adas and member of the Alor Council, declare Ali Hadrix to be Dar'manda and call for her immediate summon before the Alor Council to face judgement for her crimes. Any Bounty Hunter able to bring the woman before me, dead or alive, will receive full compensation for their efforts to retrieve the woman, 20 million credits, and five tons of raw Beskar ore."

With that, Olivia ended her recording, edited it as she wished, and transmitted it throughout the Mandalorian Territories and beyond.

Though Lisette had little to do with the Mandalorian government, and even less with the Republic, she was still a Mandalorian and kept tabs on the going-ons of her people. Seeing the bounty, and the mention of her former master's name as a K.I.A, Lisette immediately paid closer attention to the details.

Dead or alive?

She could do dead.

Teigra Residence, Old Izrul, Capital of Kiribi:

Suravi let out a heavy sigh as she let the Mandalorian's recording play from her desktop. Yet again, instead of trying to work out their grievances through diplomatic channels, the Mandalorians just decided they were going to circumvent the authority of the Republic with this public bounty on
Hadrix. Just as they had at Roche, and now were doing at Alderaan. All of the Mandalorian's recent prodding just vexed her. With both powers being enveloped by common enemies, she didn't understand the benefit of picking a fight now.

On the topic of
Hadrix, there had been growing consensus to sack the general to wipe away the last vestiges of despotism from the previous administrations, but now the Mandalorians had jumped the blaster, forcing their hand. There were a few ways the Republic could go about addressing the bounty. They could protest it, but that would create more friction with the Mandalorians. The Republic could also just go completely mum on the topic and keep Hadrix hidden away from being captured, and just hope the issue faded into the background in the face of the real existential threat that was the Sith. Finally, they could facilitate Hadrix's capture and play it off like she had kidnapped, but she found that option as vile as just outright handing her off as some other Mandalorians had demanded. The ideal scenario would be the Mandalorians bakcing off from their unreasonable demands, and accepting the concession of Hadrix being punished by the Republic itself. Hadrix wasn't getting out of this quagmire without repercussion, there was no doubt about that.

To this point, the Organas had left with the task of negotiating with the Mandalorians because of their connections, but as evidence by the message she was hearing now, she considering those negotiations a failure. She was having increasing doubts as to if Alderaan really had the Republic's best interests in mind. The thing to do now was to get the Mandalorian leadership to sit down with a proper Republic delegation to pursue a diplomatic solution.

A Republic delegation had already sat down with Mandalorian leadership and agreed that Supreme Commander Hadrix would face a neutral tribunal. They'd also agreed to request from the Supreme Chancellor that she be removed from a position of authority pending the result of that tribunal, which was pretty much standard procedure in a war crimes inquest. As the Republic had delivered on none of the above, the Alor'e Council had empowered Olivia Dem'Adas to make her announcement. This information would likely be available to Senetor Teigra in the delegation's post-negotiation briefing, along with a notation that the Mandalorians had viewed Hadrix's trial by a neutral party as absolutely non-negotiable. They had conceded that they would be satisfied with a neutral tribunal and removal from office in lieu of demanding trial by a Mandalorian court, a concession. They had made it clear that on this point, above all others, their patience was remarkably thin, and that Hadrix remaining in office would be taken as an act of bad faith. As with any post-negotiation briefing note, of course, levels of distillation could impede clarity as information made its way from those in the room to those taking charge. If Senator Teigra's staff dug into the notes, though, they would find all of the above. This information would, perhaps, give Senator Teigra more context on the Mandalorian state of mind.

The Senator would also find herself privy to knowledge that the Mandalorian connection to Alderaan had nothing to do with the roots of marriage or any relations between an Organa and a Mando. In-fact, the ruling member of Alderaan was not courted by a Mandalorian, had limited business with the Mandalorians as it were. She would have all this intelligence and the knowledge that Alyesa Organa had made the proclamation and welcomed the Mandalorian fleet. In summary, the Organas, more specifically - Alderaan had nothing to do with Ali Hadrix beyond the fact that the Republic was becoming a corrupt government and was not looking out for the best interests of it's territories.
