OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create a mining base for the Bral Mandalorian clan on the planet Nellogant. This will serve as the in-character source of the rare materials on Nellogant to be used in the creation of equipment, structures, and otherwise. It will also serve a settlement for the Bral clan.

- Mine Name: Bral Excavation Site also known as Frozen Pit
- Material:
- Turadium
- Phrikite Ore
- Arikyrzium Crystal
[*]Location: Nellogant
[*]Affiliation: Valdus Bral
[*]Size: Large
[*]Population: Moderately Staffed
[*]Profit: High
[*]Accessibility: This site is hidden under the Cin'ceri Cerar Morut on the planet Nellogant. This heavily guarded, private location is located at the end of the transition from Surface Layer and into the Hearth layer, with mine shafts reaching down into the Crystal layer (see Nellogant lore submission for details regarding layers). There is an entrance on the surface that is large enough for mining and building equipment and materials to pass through. This entrance is also heavily guarded and difficult to find as it blends into the bleak surroundings.
[*]Description: Deep under the Cin'ceri Cerar Morut lays a large mining operation funded by Bral Metal & Engineering. There are dozens of homes, refining facilities, guard posts, loading and unloading stations, and warehouses built upon the walls, natural spires, and the floor of the massive frozen cavern system that is the transition point between the Surface Layer and Hearth Layer of Nellogant. This mining base visually and mechanically works the same as a mining town, providing housing for the Bral clansmen as well as storage for mining and military equipment, as well as food stores.
POINTS OF INTEREST
- Main Entry & Exit - A large Turadium blast door covers a naturally formed cavern that leads outside into the Hearth Layer of Nellogant. Within this natural passage are durasteel panels and supports that provide traction and increase the durability of the ice cavern. At the end of the passage is yet another blast door. This passage is illuminated every ten meters and extends for several hundred meters. In order to gain access one of the gate guards must allow access by inputting a 6-digit code onto a data-panel. This area is always heavily guarded by several patrols that monitor the exits and passage way with droids, organic personnel, and stationary medium-repeating blaster turrets.
- Warehouse Sector - As one may expect, this industrialized space is home the extra supplies as well as mined ore. It is lightly patrolled at all times by members of the Bral clan as well as war droids. Large durasteel warehouses are lined up against each other, extending up to two stories in height.
- Residential Sector - Small houses built into the cavern walls with a similar outward appearance as the tree huts on Endor. This area is lightly patrolled at all times by Bral clan warriors and war droids.
Hospital - A medium sized building is filled with medical droids and enough equipment to perform serious surgeries. However, supplies are limited due to the remote location. This location is guarded to the degree of the Residential Sector. - Barracks - This section of the settlement are a handful of structures that look identical to the warehouses, but are heated, furnished, and guarded to the same extent as the Residential Sector.
[*]Hall of the Alor - A great hall, ornate in appearance, resides upon a giant ledge of ice and stone overlooking the rest of the excavation site. This serves as the personal residence of the Alor of Clan Bral. This area is moderately guarded at all times by highly trained veterans of the Bral Clan.
- The Pit - A pit 3 meters across at the top, expanding to a den that is 11 meters in diameter, with the pit at a depth of 10 meters from floor to entrance. The entrance is covered by a Tuadium hatch and resides inside the of the Hall of the Alor situated before a large throne fashioned from roughly shaped beskar. A horror awaits at the bottom of this pit for those that gain such ire - one could assume it's a predatory beast that Mandalorian's favor such as: A pack of hungry Vornskr or something more exotic such as a Snow Bear. This area is moderately guarded at all times by highly trained veterans of the Bral Clan.
[*]Turadium Mine - between the Hall of the Alor and the Warehouse district lies a mine entrance. Tunnels wind this way and that, all along the wall deposits of Turadium can be found. This area is lightly guarded at all times by members of the Bral Clan and war droids.
[*]Phyrkite & Arikyrzium Crystal Mine - Across from the Main exit, roughly 20 meters away, another set of blast doors cover a large mine shaft that leads down into the very deepest layer of the planet Nellogant. After traveling several thousands of meters in this mine shaft the whispers of the Crystal Layer begins and so too can large deposits of Arikyrzium Crystal and Phyrkite be found. This area is heavily guarded at all times by members of the Bral Clan and war droids.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
After two expeditions to the frozen planet that is Nellogant, the Bral clan began to survey areas both suitable for mining and for a terrestrial settlement. After several weeks of searching a large cavern system that stretched from the surface to the deepest layers of Nellogant was found. Valdus Bral soon sent prospecting equipment and operators to determine if there were any signs of mineral deposits that would be useful to Bral Metal & Engineering for profit and for personal use. The results of the study revealed sizable deposits of rare metals as well as the presence of the rarest and most valuable resource within Nellogant - Arikyrzium Crystal. Thus began the construction of a settlement and the reinforcement of mine shafts and the tunnel systems. Dubbed the Bral Excavation Site, it is also known by its denizens as the Frozen Pit.
The inhospitable wildlife and climate has made airlocks on buildings and portable breathable atmospheres a common sight. Due to the location and secrecy, this location is unlikely to be known by the larger galaxy. Only those who are invited are likely to find where this settlement resides, even then it would be difficult to infiltrate or assault due to environment and location.
After the invasion of Mandalore by The Sith Empire the Cin'ceri Cerar Morut was constructed above and around the Frozen Pit and now the Bral Metal & Engineering workshop neighbors the compound. This has caused the Excavation Site to morph into a high traffic area as expeditions and hunting parties often enter and exit the Excavation site.
