Breaking and Entering (Open)

They don't have a lot of crime in space other than theft. But every once in a while, things turn ugly, and when they turn ugly, they turn very ugly.
-Kal Roache

It was late, very late, at night aboard The Rat, a luxury liner converted for combat. Her captain, Karlotius Vynamo, had been mulling over a major problem that had arisen. He and his fleet, the Wild Horde, had been performing piracy in the space near Byss for quite a while, but due to their actions, trade had ground to a halt in the region. Without trade, there weren't ships, and the Wild Horde had to move elsewhere to find work. Now, Byss was slowly but surely opening back up for trade routes, and now Karlotius knew to be careful and not to interfere for some time. However, recently, the Wild Horde's spies had caught word that a massive trading convoy was to be passing through the area with weapons, ships, food, and,most importantly, some very valuable ancient schematics. His recruiters had gone around to some nearby systems and had some interested parties willing to help for a cut of the profits. To his surprise, there were quite a few folks willing to risk their lives for a dollar. Bless their hearts. He prepared to address the recruits on the bridge with him, but, unexpectedly, the captain of the head of the convoy made contact with The Rat.

Mandalorian bounty hunter Adenn Gra'tua stood on the bridge of The Rat, full set of his own beskar'gam over his skin, with arms crossed as he watched recordings of his own past fights, chuckling as he saw himself tear the knife from another mans hand before stabbing the same man in the stomach, it wasn't that he had found killing funny though, it was since he had seen so many people do the same thing in the holovids that had made it funny. Adenn closed out of the recording before bringing his left hand up to his face, quickly inspecting the gauntlet that belonged to that hand for any malfunctions as he ejected the vibroblade and checked the wrist mounted flame thrower for any issues, upon confirmation that the guantlet was good the bounty hunter lowered his hand, now looking at the read outs in his HUD of all the systems in his armor, double checking that all the systems were normal, as he did before most missions, to make sure everything would work to its fullest extent.

The recruit on the left, [member="Adenn Gra'tua"], looked serious. He was well equipped, seemed experienced, and was fierce. Karlotius could already tell if he didn't give Adenn his fair cut of the profits, there could be trouble.
" You! On the left! You can have double the cut of the rest of this lot, if you take charge of Raiding Party C!"
Raiding Party C both had the most difficult job and the riskiest.They were to board the lead ship of the convoy, make it to the bridge, and kidnap the bridge crew, to use as hostages should the authorities get involved. What nobody but Karlotius and his first mate knew was that if The Rat had to escape the system, it would open fire on and destroy any ships her associates were aboard.
Of course, why even worry about that eventuality. It's not as if there were any experienced soldiers on board the convoy.

Adenn visibly perked up at the mention of double profit, eyes looking towards the captain of The Rat, [member="Karlotius Vynamo"], quickly deciding that the double profit would help some, not that the bounty hunter needed the extra credits too bad though, but mainly since he wanted to board the lead ship anyways, and he wasn't exactly going to turn down some credits from a man that had so openly offered them. Shrugging after a moment the bounty hunter spoke "Sure! I could use the exhilaration of a hostage situation." smiling under his helmet Adenn moved his right hand up to his utility belt before hooking his thumb in it, mind wandering to whatever might happen during this mission, wether it be something going extremely well, or horribly wrong.

[member="Karlotius Vynamo"]

"Now then, [member="Adenn Gra'tua"], is it? I need to ask, do you have a ship with you? If not, I have a few craft ready for this mission. We'll have an Interdictor on call, so once you leave, we'll be out of contact. Our current plan is to send out Raiding Party B to destroy the communication satellite cluster to the north, while Raiding Party A attacks and captures the cargo ship directly behind the lead. Party A will ram the lead ship's shield generator while you and your team fly into her hanger. At this point, the convoy commander might seal off the elevators, so I'd recommend bringing some explosives or some tow line. Or both. Your call. Once you reach the 15th level of the ship, it's a straight line down the hallway to the bridge, which is absoutely covered in turrets and automated defense droids. Once you reach the bridge, the captain will likely try to separate the bridge from the ship. Try to shoot as many controls as you can, then take the commander ALIVE. Ask him to surrender datapad K67-DS1-MPF. While you do this, Raiding Party D will be collecting cargo from the other ships. Take the bridge crew hostage. and lead them to the engine room.Sometime after this, The Rat will dock with the lead ship, and you can leave on yours."

Karlotius looked expectantly at Adenn.

"Have you any suggestions or thoughts?"

As [member="Karlotius Vynamo"] started speaking again the bounty hunter listened intently, as he knew asking again later wouldn't be very professional, but it felt like it was easy to forget when you were busy shooting and being shot at, but Adenn quickly realized that he didn't have his own ship, and that he'd have to borrow one that he probably wasn't used to, nor was he used to working with explosives, but there was always a first time for everything. As the other man finished his plan the mandalorian realized that automated turrets would be in the lead ship, not that they would slow down the man, just keep the rest of his team from moving until he could shut them down or have them destroyed, something that might come with some difficulty "Sounds like a solid plan, meaning I have no suggestions to make, but I will need one of the ships that you offered, as I currently do not have one of my own."

[member="Karlotius Vynamo"]

Karlotius was stunned, but relieved. A mercenary that was so trusting was a rare thing indeed. Something told him that he might even be worth the double cut.
"Alright, the convoy is coming into position. I'm sending you in with my best men and my best arms. You're in charge until comms are re-established. One last thing. Two of the ships I'm sending you in on will be filled with explosives. I'm giving you a detonator, in case the plan goes south." Karlotius gestured at a schematics display on the bridge's display scene."Escape pod bays are on the top floor. Keep your helmet on, make sure you are unidentifiable. Once you have the schematics, we'll bring down the Interdictor for a moment so that you can transfer them over. Now, report down to the hanger, and get ready to go. Good luck, and have do your best"
[member="Adenn Gra'tua"]

As [member="Karlotius Vynamo"] finished his sentence Adenn Gra'tua nodded before walking towards the exit of the bridge "Glad I'm being sent in there with someone else, it should make your guys feel safer to know that I'm on their side." The bounty hunter said as the doors in front of him opened, joking about his reputation and high success rate with bounties, something he took pride in, but he knew this mission would be different as it would be more confined, compared to the more open streets or rooftops of a planet like Coruscant. Upon arriving in the hangar Adenn moved towards one of the ships that he was sure was going to be used on this mission while looking at a picture he'd taken of the schematics earlier seen, studying them so he could get to know the ship without being there, something that the bounty hunter had found difficult to do on certain occasions, but now he just had know the layout, and make sure not to much people on that ship knew who he was, since if anyone found out the man was working with pirates then his reputation was surely going to degrade, at least a little.

Karlotius barked to his technicians to open the hanger bay doors, and began the countdown to the beginning of the operation

Visual contact was established with the convoy, they would probably try to size up the ship at this point.

The lead ship began to re-establish communication.
8
The convoy began to slow down, probably hoping to make a jump to hyperspace.
7
The convoy had entirely stopped at this point. The Interdictor powered up.
6
The head ship managed to see the Interdictor, and shot at it. One shot hit a crucial generator,the Interdictor went offline.
5
The comm station on The Rat received a general alarm message from the lead ship. It reached all systems surrounding Byss.

The Satellite cluster is taken down by Raiding Party B
3
Raiding Party A leaves to take control of the cargo ship behind the lead
