SPECIAL FEATURES​

• Blade Construction:
  
  • Mono-molecular Edge: With a mono-molecular edge, the weapon has a higher chance of penetrating armor or natural carapace than a traditional Bes'phatir. This also has the added benefit of functioning even without power unlike several of the other systems built into the axe. Additionally, it has higher potential to do damage to body tissue, bones, organs and the like than a traditional Bes'phatir as well.
• Hammer Construction:
  
  • Dynamic Hammer Head
• Collapsible Haft: The haft of the Bes'phatir can collapse, reducing the overall length of the weapon.
• Electronics:
  
  • Repulsor Generator: The user can activate the repulsor generator with the push of a button to augment the force of their strikes, greatly increasing armor penetrating capability and damage potential.
  • Ultrasonic Vibration Generator: The ultrasonic vibration generator's output can be adjusted using a sliding switch on the handle. The lowest setting shuts the generator off.
  • Shockwave Generator: An impact activated shockwave generator in the hammer head greatly augments the force of impact with an intense sonic wave that could tear apart a target that was hit by the energy created from the device.
  • HUD Link (optional): The axe can link to the user's HUD, putting the button controls at their disposal with all the convenience of a HUD. Status indicators also display over this link

STRENGTHS​

• Bes'phatir: The Bes'phatir is a combination axe and hammer. The axe head lends itself very well to heavy swinging motions that are more likely to penetrate armor and cause serious damage to any underlying tissue or bone beneath, while the hammer head is fantastic at potentially battering enemy defenses and causing massive blunt force trauma.
• Armor Penetrating: The ultrasonic vibration generator, energy cell/projector and the mono-molecular edge enhance a Bes'phatir's natural armor-penetrating qualities to an exponential level, even giving it the ability to potentially deal with exotic materials and advanced composites and alloys such as Beskar, Phrik and the like.
• Lethal Wounds: The weapon's ultrasonic vibration, shockwave and repulsor generator greatly augment the deadly wounds that a Bes'phatir is capable of causing. Even a graze is capable of causing grievous wounds.
• Rylith Power Cell: The weapon makes use of a Rylith Power Cell, making for significantly increased battery life, as well as the capability to recharge the cell with exposure to sunlight.

WEAKNESSES​

• Finesse?!: One does not parry with either a hammer or an axe and neither could be accused of being remotely capable of being graceful or facilitating any sort of finesse.
• Heavy: Missed swings and other mistakes are more difficult to recover from as compared to with other lighter axe and axe-style weapons.
• Beskar: The weapon is, at the end of the day, made from Beskar. Given the number of anti-Beskar measures in the galaxy, there's a relatively high chance of running into one of them.
• Out of Power: If the power cell runs out of charge, then weapons more advanced functions will be disabled, notably decreasing its lethality.
• EMP/Ion: Should the weapon's EMP/Ion defenses be overwhelmed by a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon, the weapons more advanced functions would be rendered unusable, notably decreasing its lethality.

DESCRIPTION​

Though literally translating to iron axe when translated from Breshig-native Mando'a to Galactic Basic, the Bes'phatir is a combination axe-hammer weapon designed by the clans of Breshig. Favored by Shock Troopers from Breshig and combat engineers as early as the days of the Mandalorian Crusades, the flexibility and versatility of the weapon made it extremely popular among its wielders. Though often frowned at by members of other clans and even skeptics among the clans of Breshig, when used right, the weapon's effectiveness is undeniable. ​

Being a combination axe and hammer, the Bes'phatir has the advantages of both. The axe head lends itself very well to heavy swinging motions that are more likely to penetrate armor and cause serious damage to any underlying tissue or bone beneath, while the hammer head is fantastic at potentially battering enemy defenses and causing massive blunt force trauma. Also integrated into this particular modern incarnation of the Bes'phatir are a number of systems that greatly increase the weapon's natural armor-penetrating qualities. These systems also greatly increase the weapon's potential lethality, making even a graze capable of causing great wounds. ​

Neither axes nor hammers are capable of being accused of being remotely capable of being graceful or facilitating any sort of finesse. Though the new electronic systems add a number of advantages, they also have their own flaws. Despite the notably long life of a Rylith energy cell and the EMP/Ion protections of the weapon, running out of power and having the weapon fried by a particularly powerful EMP/Ion weapon is still an issue that the user should be aware of. Finally, there is the matter of materials. The axe and hammer heads are still made from Beskar, meaning all the nasty anti-Beskar measures developed by the galaxy are still effective against it. ​
