OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Developed by little known Breshig Cybernetics prior to their acquisition by Breshig War Forge Consolidated, the Gar Tkiriyr or Iron Mind in basic was designed to be the next generation interface for vehicles, computers and even armor. The implant directly connected into the user's nervous system allowing them to avoid the delay of thinking and then physically doing an action, as well as much of the error that comes from that. This also made the delivery of commands to whatever device they're connected to several magnitudes faster. Given that data can flow both to and from the user, this means that with compatible systems the user can potentially directly send and receive comms through their conscious mind, or potentially eschew the use of a HUD entirely. The possibilities are only limited by the device they're connected to, and of course, the limits of their own mind.
Seeing as there are never no downsides to any technology, especially one as relatively new in its incarnation and intent as this, the implant did have a few notable issues. If forcibly or too abruptly disconnected, the user can suffer disconnection feedback. Though the exact symptoms of disconnection feedback varies from user to user, typical symptoms include dizziness, nausea, temporary loss of or impaired motor control and an inability to focus. Though protected against EMP/Ion weapons, should the weapon be affected by a powerful enough shot/pulse/blast the user will suffer disconnection feedback. While extremely improbable and highly unlikely, it is possible for a slicer to slice into the implant and send a feedback pulse through the user's nervous system to debilitate, disable or kill them.
Unfortunately, the project had more than its fair share of growing pains, and was almost shelved until the development of the Gar Agol CNT synthetic muscle fiber. More specifically, the 'Iron Mind' was revitalized to be used as an interface between the wearer and prospective Gar Agol muscle fiber suit. Use of the Gar Trikiriyr to interface with the prototype muscle suit showed such great potential that the project was put back into full production. Knowing this was a largely untapped market, Breshig War Forge decided to put it on the open market and to ensure that the relatively simple to produce device was produced at maximum capacity.

- Direct Connection: The interface is directly connected into the user's nervous system allowing them to avoid the delay of thinking and then physically doing an action, as well as much of the error that comes from that. This also makes the delivery of commands to whatever device they're connected to several magnitudes faster.
- Two-Way Data Stream: Given that data can flow both to and from the user, this means that with compatible systems the user can potentially directly send and receive comms through their conscious mind, or potentially eschew the use of a HUD entirely. The possibilities are only limited by the device they're connected to, and of course, the limits of their own mind.
- Unexpected Disconnection: If forcibly or too abruptly disconnected, the user can suffer disconnection feedback. Though the exact symptoms of disconnection feedback varies from user to user, typical symptoms include dizziness, nausea, temporary loss of or impaired motor control and an inability to focus.
- Feedback: Though protected against EMP/Ion weapons, should the weapon be affected by a powerful enough shot/pulse/blast the user will suffer disconnection feedback.
- Slicers: While extremely improbable and highly unlikely, it is possible for a slicer to slice into the implant and send a feedback pulse through the user's nervous system to debilitate, disable or kill them.
