- Intent: To create an Isotope-5 reactor for use by Breshig War Forge Consolidated, Mandalorians and select customers.
- Canon Link: N/A.
- Permissions: N/A.
- Primary Source: 'Argu'a' Isotope-5 Reactor.
- Manufacturer: Breshig War Forge Consolidated.
- Affiliation: Breshig War Forge Consolidated, its subsidiary Strill Securities, Mandalorians and Closed-Market.
- Model: 'Ori'argu'a' Isotope-5 Reactor.
- Modularity: Variants exist for use in ships frigate and larger. Can be used in particularly large ground based facilities as well.
- Production: Minor.
- Material: Duranium (frame, some internal parts), Agrinium mesh, Dallorian alloy, Duravlex, reinforced Duraplast armor plating, electronics, reactor components, heat sink(s), cryoban cooling system, plas-bonded Ostrine, cap drain, combat de-ionizer, Isotope-5, droid brain, heuristic processor and gabonna memory crystal.
- Advanced Power Management: The Ori'argu'a possess advanced power management systems powered by a heuristically processing droid brain allows for advanced power management. The system will monitor power consumption and can divert power either from or simply to certain ship systems.
- Networked Reactor Support: Multiple reactors on board the same vessel can be networked together to best optimize power management systems. In turn, this networked system is also fully compatible with the power management systems of the Manda tactical battlenet.
- Advanced Diagnostics Suite: The Ori'argu'a droid brain is fully capable of diagnosing any and all issues with the reactor, making maintenance far easier. While it is possible that it might make a misdiagnosis, the system will learn from its mistakes thanks to its heuristic droid brain.
- Manda Tactical Battlenet Compatibility: The Ori'argu'a supports full compatibility with the Manda tactical battlenet, allowing the two devices to cooperate and set power management if configured to do so, though the default power setting is to allow the crew to do so.
- Emergency Shutdown: Should the reactor be close to overload or meltdown, the management system is designed to shut it down and purge the fuel from the chamber.
- Emergency Ejection: Should worse come to worst and the emergency shutdown prove to be non-functional, the system will perform an emergency ejection of the reactor.
- High Power Generation: Isotope-5 reactors can generate immense amounts of power, allowing for the use of extremely power hungry systems, or the diversion of the extra power to boost other systems.
- Extremely Efficient: Isotope-5 can be used to generate power with minimal fuel given the material's predictable distortion of gravity and electromagnetic fields.
- Stable: Stabilized Isotope-5 is just that, stable. This makes the reactor far less susceptible to overloads and meltdowns, and means that the spare fuel isn't essentially bomb waiting to go off.
- Ion/EMP Resistant: Aside from the properties of Isotope-5, the Ori'argu'a is very well protected against EMP/Ion damage, thanks to the agrinium mesh, reinforced duraplast plating, cap drain and combat de-ionizers.
- Isotope-5: Isotope-5 is a rare material, and while extremely efficient, it's unlikely that one would find Isotope-5 at the neighborhood friendly shadow port.
- Breach: Should the reactor's casing be breached, it will leak deadly radiation and will experience severe power fluctuations.
- Devastating Overload: Should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion is nothing short of devastating, completely and utterly annihilating whatever craft or vehicle it is mounted on.
- Saboteur's Dream: Provided they manage to override the numerous safety protocols and fail safes, there's scarcely a more effective way to destroy or cripple a ship than detonating one of its own Isotope-5 reactors.
- Design: Given the material's distortion of gravity and electromagnetic fields, careful attention has to be paid to where such a reactor is mounted on a ship or vehicle, lest it affect repulsors or magnetic accelerator weapons.
Designed by the same design team as the one behind the highly successful Argu'a Isotope-5 reactor, the Ori'argu'a was designed for use on ships frigate and larger. Like the reactor that preceded it , it was intended for use by both the company as well as export customers.
The Ori'argu'a has a number of advanced features like the reactor that it was based on. Chief among those is the advanced power management system, which is powered by a heuristically processing droid brain that allows for advanced power management. The system will monitor power consumption and can divert power either from or simply to certain ship systems. Additionally, there's a provision for multiple reactors to be linked together, to best optimize power management systems. In turn, this networked system is also fully compatible with the power management systems of the Manda tactical battlenet. Both individual reactors and the networked reactors support full compatibility with the Manda tactical battlenet, allowing for communication between both systems to coordinate and set power management if configured to do so, though the default power setting is to allow the crew to do so.
The reactor has a number of safety features as well. Should the reactor be close to overload or meltdown, the management system is designed to shut it down and purge the fuel from the chamber. When networked, the other reactors will increase their output proportionately in order to better spread the load. However, should worse come to worst and the emergency shutdown prove to be non-functional, the system will perform an emergency ejection of the reactor.
Isotope-5 reactors can generate immense amounts of power, allowing for the use of extremely power hungry systems, or the diversion of the extra power to boost other systems. Additionally,
Isotope-5 can be used to generate power with minimal fuel given the material's predictable distortion of gravity and electromagnetic fields. As a fuel, stabilized Isotope-5 is just that, stable. This makes the reactor far less susceptible to overloads and meltdowns, and means that the spare fuel isn't essentially bomb waiting to go off. Aside from the properties of Isotope-5, the Ori'argu'a is very well protected against EMP/Ion damage, thanks to the agrinium mesh, reinforced duraplast plating, cap drain and combat de-ionizers.
That said, Isotope-5 is a rare material, and while extremely efficient, it's unlikely that one would find Isotope-5 at the neighborhood friendly shadow port. Supplies are limited, and production of the substance using Illerium is a slow process that doesn't have particularly high yields, even when performed on a large scale. Despite being extremely safe, should the reactor's casing be breached, it will leak deadly radiation and will experience severe power fluctuations. Should the reactor overload and meltdown, the resulting explosion is nothing short of devastating, capable of completely annihilating, or in the very least, crippling whatever craft it was installed in. Additionally, should the control systems become compromised, it is very possible for a saboteur to turn the reactor into an extremely deadly improvised weapon. Finally, Given the material's distortion of gravity and electromagnetic fields, careful attention has to be paid to where such a reactor is mounted on a ship or vehicle, lest it affect repulsors or magnetic accelerator weapons.
