Briar is a being, comprised of many others. As such, she tends to have difficulty expressing herself to another being. She is also severely out of touch with her own emotions. Due to the many beings inside her, she is left almost always sleepy, and hungry. The girl tends to talk to invisible beings, the floating force echoes and essences of the recently departed, trying to get them to move on. Briar also would never use words like evil or good, as death, destruction, murder, kindness, compassion, mercy, all these things are found in the natural world, and as such, just are. The world is not black and white to her, nor even shades of gray, it just is. All this said, she is fairly compliant to local laws, and direction from those in authority in any given area. The woman sees the galaxy in a vastly different way than many, seeing hidden wonders and adventures. Death is not an end for her, it's merely another stage of existence, just as important as life. She seeks, explores and searches for the cure, stopping at nothing to find it.

Appearance:

A young teenager of nineteen years. She is a pretty thing, and at first glance appears smaller, almost fragile. She has large ice blue eyes, tangled, long, wild red hair, and pale skin. However, her body is firm, rather than soft, far stronger than that first look would assume. A small bust and firm form.

Biography:

Briar wasn't born with this name. Her real name is lost to time. She grew up in a normal way, with her parents, as a pure blood Atoan and had a fairly normal childhood for her people. However, during a relocation event, they were moving planets due to the violence of the many wars and catastrophies in the galaxy. However, the ship ended up crashing, due to severe mechanical failure on a remote, overgrown world in the unknown regions. Badly hurt, barely alive, the seven year old Briar managed activate a med droid from the wreckage and save herself. However, she was alone, and with nothing else to help her. Her will to survive was strong, and she managed to forage for food on the planet for a time.

Sadly, she couldn't get enough. Sick, cold, hungry, the girl was dying. She screamed her defiance into the world, and fought to the bitter end. Laying on the cold, wet ground, the life slipping from her young form, death surrounded and embraced her, and even then she struggled. That desire to survive, that defiance of the death her body deserved, it drew something to her. It was an echo of the dark side, all the remained from some ancient and powerful Sith. The echo had long forgotten who it was, or even why it was there, however, it merged with the girl, and gave her the strength to survive. The dark side flowed through her, giving her the rage to stand back to her feet, and the power to live. This act drew another echo to her, this one of the light side. Long ago, it had been the mortal enemy of the dark, and so, rather than let the girl be lost to her rage, it merged into her as well. The battle to retain a sense of self, as light and dark struggled for dominance was intense. However, in the end, while her former self died, a new being was created, the merging of the echoes and herself. The power of light and dark flowed through her, guiding her natural abilities, and teaching her what to do. Half way between living and dead, she was guided by the living force, and the cosmic force, as well as the few fleeting memories the echoes still had. This new entity didn't just survive. She thrived.

Years pass, and she became the apex predator on this planet without a name. She learned to hunt, mend herself, and to use the force, taught by the many other echoes on the planet, and the living force itself. The weaker echoes that had lost themselves were engulfed into her, the echoes that still remembered, became her people. Light and dark melded inside her, till it couldn't be distinguished from itself. It was a cycle as natural as day and night, as natural as moving around the star. This feeling drew in a unique Jedi Master, someone who had left the order, when it was in shambles, and instead, traveled the galaxy doing the best he could. To this world of life, of presence, Master Gentu came and stood face to face before the child.

She was twelve when they first met, and had tried to eat Gentu. However, his patience, his kindness, and compassion won her over, and she began to spend time with him. He told her, that she wasn't alone, that he himself wasn't alone inside him, and became someone else as well. The Master taught her about the symbiotic creature inside him, that saved him when he was at the verge of death too. No longer alone, the master named the girl Briar, after the many thorny plants on the planet. He taught her to read, write, speak, and how to feel, even if only a little. Under his tutelage, she left that world, and traveled with the master, learning his way of the force. Quickly he understood she wasn't like most others, with a compromised idea of living and dead, after having spent so many years with only the dead for company. Her power in the force also frightened him at times, with how easy she could do things most masters would never accomplish.

They traveled together for years. Briar saw the best, and worst of life, and was there to protect many. He trained her to make her own lightsaber, and how to use it, how to get along with other people, how to put others before herself. While she never grew very good at communication or understanding her own emotions she learned self control, and how to interact with the galaxy around her. She never stopped talking to, and befriending the dead, wherever she found them. At first this worried her master, however, in turn he just learned to accept that she was a creature half way between life and death, and as such, could befriend both those who were alive, and those who were dead.

She learned to love Gentu, as a daughter loves and places her strong father on a pedestal, ever striving to make him happy and proud of her. But, she had trouble ever expressing this. In time he simply grasped that she had these issues and probably wouldn't be able to fully overcome them. Still life was enjoyable for them both. Sadly, as these things tend to happen, its right when life is the brightest that it crashes the hardest.

Gentu and Briar flew the ship to a small, remote moon to check on a distress signal from a newly formed colony formed by refugees trying to escape the wars. No one knows what happened after. A force wound appeared on the planet, her master died, as did the entire colony. Some how she survived, with well over a thousand new essences inside her body, along with her master's ever present symbiotic partner.

She managed to fly to a small farming planet, and receive medical care. It took her months to recover from the shock of that many beings inside her, as well as the physical changes the creature had on her as it settled in, and helped her body develop to protect it better. These changes made her eternally tired and hungry, as she fed the energies of the symbiotic entity and When she left, her behavior was even more erratic than before. Without the guiding and protective presence of her master, Briar was almost like a lost child, traveling from place to place. Strangely, after this event, she began to collect artifacts in the force, and to visit places strong in the force, presumably collecting more echoes of the force.

No one understands exactly what she is doing, however, most faction governments have her on a watch list, and actively desire to keep her from going to places where she can collect more artifacts or echoes. They advise, any time a being beings to dream of a yawning redhaired woman with sleepy eyes, to know, that Briar is close by and to inform local security forces, so they can escort her to make sure she causes no trouble.
