Naboo
Museum
Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti

This place was massive....at least to a creature who had to reach a foot in height. The people of Naboo would see a small hover pod moving through the streets and within it was the young creature, Nien. Fate had worked its magic when it introduced Cerys Dyn into his life. Just barely two weeks ago she had risked her life to save his. Someone she didn't know at the time. Her bravery and courage against his captors spoke volumes to the small being. While his heart was indeed small, it grew ten fold at witness of her aid to him.

And now....he was free. He couldn't gone and done anything he wanted, and he chose to remain here.

On Naboo, with Cerys.

Nien had made a promise to not wander to far from Cerys, yet his inquisitive nature got the better of him. After being a slave for so long, he wanted to run free as fast as his little legs could carry him. She was able to outfit him with his own personal hover pod that would aid in his ventures across Naboo. And today his eyes fell upon a massive structure,

Culture and Science.....this had brought so many questions to his young mind. He wanted to witness and see it all. Nien directed the small hover pod closer to the structures entrance, and he hoped there was some sort of tour that they could give.

While he wasn't officially a Jedi, but was under the protection of the Shiraya Order. He had only met a handful of Jedi since his arrival. And fate would bring another into his life, as his hover pod carried him through the doors of the complex.

The streets of Naboo buzzed with life, a mix of tourists and locals meandering through the picturesque avenues, their chatter blending with the soft hum of passing speeders. Zaiya weaved through the crowd, her bioluminescent patterns shimmering in curious soft ambers and citrines. Domxite perched on her shoulder, their tiny form swiveling their rectangular-like head to take in the sights. Every so often, the little droid emitted a chirp or a curious whirl, their enthusiasm drawing amused smiles from passersby.

The Lovalla Padawan was on a mission, or at least a loose one. She needed a few components for her latest project, and walking through the vibrant streets seemed like the perfect way to clear her head after a week of rigorous training. The air smelled faintly of flowers and roasted rootfruit, which she found oddly comforting.

Domxite gave a sharp, excited trill, drawing Zaiya's attention. There it was, a tiny hover pod, gliding through the crowd like it had a destination, though no obvious companion. Intrigued, Zaiya adjusted her pace, her colors shifting to warm, soft golds as she approached.

"Let's check it out," the Lovalla murmured, her voice light with interest. Domxite gave an affirming whirl, just as curious.

When Zaiya finally caught up, her eyes widened. Perched inside the pod was a tiny figure, no taller than her forearm. A species Zaiya wasn't familiar with, but he was rather adorable and cute. His wide gaze was locked on a massive building ahead as his pod drifted through the massive doors. The little being didn't seem frightened, just... captivated.

"Hello there," Zaiya said, her tone careful but kind. She offered a small wave as she leaned slightly closer, her colors shifting to friendly teal-flecked tones over her mottled spots.

"On a mission, or just taking in the sights?" Domxite chirped in agreement, their head swiveling to mimic Zaiya's gaze toward the looming structure.

"I'm Zaiya,"
she added warmly. "And this is Domxite. What's your name?"

"Hello there,"

The young lady didn't startle little Nien, but just completely captivated his mind. Was it her hair, the bountiful colors that emitted from her. The young creature felt in his small heart that it was the fact that everyone here was incredibly kind. After living the life of a slave for over twenty years, you knew nothing of manners and kindness and you were just treated with contempt and disregard. It was truly amazing that the young creature held on to his own values of kindness and courage, and the woes of evil and the like didn't swallow him up whole.

"Hello, Nien is my name."
He said with a soft voice as he held his little hand out to Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti and her companion as far as it could go. Nien often found himself stretching out as far as he could, just to have the simple basis of greetings with those that he met. While he was a tiny being, he still wanted to show that he was civilized and had good manners. "Zaiya, and Domxite. It's so good to meet some new faces." The young creature smiled his biggest smile that he could muster.

"I am, how do you say...?" Nien began to say, as his hand rose to his chin lightly. "Exploring the unknown!" He said with a giggle as his arms extended outwards as far as they could go. But he was also breaking the rules slightly, as Cerys had advised him to stay close to the Shiraya compound.

"Shall we take in this journey together? Zaiya? Domxite?" Nien voiced with a continued smile as he glanced between the two. "Do you know Cerys Dyn?"

"Exploring the unknown?" Zaiya's mottled spots gave a sparkle of amusement, rippling with light blue hues. Domxite also chuckled through the Force, giving their little feet a small tap on the Lovalla's shoulders.

"That sounds exciting," she added, followed by, "A pleasure to meet you Nien!" ambling along beside the pod, she gave Nien a small handshake, sending a pleased happy swirl of blues and golds over her skin in pleasure at meeting someone new.

"I'd like to join then!" Zaiya agreed, only to spark avid curiosity, as Nien mentioned Cerys.

"Cerys Dyn, the Jedi Padawan from the Sanctum?" Oh, did he know her? "Yes, I met her briefly," Zaiya confirmed, recalling the Togrutat Padawan and all their interactions. She gave a small internal sigh; she really was hoping they could get along better, but circumstances always seemed to make things difficult to talk with her.

"Why, are you friends?"

The young creature could hardly contain his excitement, not just because he was free. But simply because it seemed he was making a new friend, well two to be exact.

"I'd like to join then!"

"Incredible, that is." The young Nien voiced a soft and sweet voice. This entire place seemed so overwhelming, there so, so much to see and learn. The young on felt he would have to come back several times through the course of this week just to learn all that he could. His tiny heart filled with much joy and happiness right now.

"Cerys Dyn, the Jedi Padawan from the Sanctum?"
"Yes, I met her briefly,"
"Why, are you friends?"

"Yes, a great friend she is." Nien voiced as they moved through the main hall, working towards what would appear to be their first stop. "I was a slave, for most of my life. My captors stopped here in Naboo to refuel. Saved me, she did."

Nien looked over to Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti with a small sweet smile. "Now, I am free."

They made their way to the first location which was the main auditorium, and to say this was ordinary.....

That would be incredibly rude.

"Are you with the Shiraya Order?" The young creature inquired as they were allowed to move about the auditorium, getting a closer look at everything.

Zaiya blinked, her colors flickering with surprise, soft ambers and blues mixing in curious patterns along her skin.

"Wait... saved you? You mean Cerys freed you from the slavers?" she asked, her voice filled with equal parts astonishment and admiration. She thought about Cerys, a newfound respect shimmering across her expression. Who knew she'd been part of something that incredible?

"You know, I think I'd like to hear more about how Cerys pulled off something like that." Her grin turned playful, the shimmering hues of her skin reflecting her interest. "I bet it's a story worth telling."

At Nien's question, Zaiya's spots rippled with a puzzled orange hue before realization hit her.

"Oh! No, no... I'm just visiting. Not part of the Shiraya Order," she clarified with a small, sheepish laugh.

"What about you?"

"Incredible, she was!" Nien spoke in a very enthusiastic sweet tone. "Brave, selfless.....true to heart." Nien smiled as he held his hand over his own, as he thought back to the day he met Cerys Dyn.

At the change in skin color from Zaiya. Nien couldn't help but not look and one could see the colors mirror in his small sweet eyes. The young creature wasn't trying to be rude, that was the last thing he wanted to do. He truthfully just found her fascinating.

"That is an very neat thing you can do with the colors." Nien smiled, while glancing around while also trying to take a look around the main auditorium before them moved along.

"Oh! No, no... I'm just visiting. Not part of the Shiraya Order,"
"What about you?"

"My home is Naboo for now, Cerys and the Shiraya Order saved me and offered me sanctuary here. Should my captors try to return, they will be pushed back." The young one said with a big smile, while he wasn't one that wished harm, even on his enemies. He had a strong feeling that they wouldn't ever be back.

Zaiya's cheeks flushed a soft amber streaked with gold as Nien's enthusiastic praise for Cerys hit her ears. She ducked her head slightly, the colors swirling across her skin betraying her mix of intrigue and curiosity. It was impossible not to be moved by his heartfelt admiration for Cerys, or by the way he spoke about the sanctuary he'd found here on Naboo.

"Cerys sounds... amazing," Zaiya murmured, her voice carrying a note of awe. Another reason why she wanted to learn more about the Togruta Padawan and get to know her better. The Lovalla's expression softened as she glanced at Nien. His innocent excitement and warm smile were infectious, pulling her from her usual guardedness. "I mean, not everyone would step up like that, risking so much for someone they barely know."

When Nien mentioned her shifting colors, Zaiya blinked, momentarily caught off guard. "Oh, this?" she said, a sheepish smile tugging at her lips as the pink deepened.

"It's... a Lovalla thing. Bioluminescence, mood shifting pigments, you know, the usual weirdness. It's not really something I can control, though." Well, to be honest she was trying to see if she could control it. Iris had told her that there were ways to. Her grin widened into something more playful. "So basically, it's like having my emotions on holo-display twenty-four-seven."

As they moved through the grand auditorium, she let herself glance around at the elegant architecture, taking in the beauty of Naboo that seemed to mirror the peacefulness in Nien's demeanor.

"I'm glad you're safe now," she added, her voice quieter but sincere. "It's hard to imagine going through what you did..."

Her stripes flickered with a brighter, more hopeful blues as she turned her attention fully back to him. "but it seems you are in a better place now with the Order, and from what I can sense, you can learn to use the Force with them, right?"

"I mean, not everyone would step up like that, risking so much for someone they barely know."

"She really is amazing. Whether it be instinct or even the willingness to do the right thing. Just knowing that she stepped up to defend me. I will never forget it."

A smile remained on Nien's face the entire time, and even more so when she described how her colors change and that it was tied to her emotions. "Well, I think it's amazing." The young creature spoke in a sweet voice, while he hoped he wasn't being rude by that comment. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to have your emotions on display for the galaxy to see. It was just a unique thing, something extraordinary.

"I'm glad you're safe now,"
"It's hard to imagine going through what you did..."

"Zaiya, thank you." He smiled. "Yes, it was something terrible to have been involved in, I spent many years as slave to some. Now that I am free, the sky is the limit."

"but it seems you are in a better place now with the Order, and from what I can sense, you can learn to use the Force with them, right?"

"Naboo, is an amazing place." Nien smiled as they were soon to be steered to the next area, the secondary auditorium. "The force, yes." Nien smiled with the lightest of nods looking up to Zaiya Ceti Zaiya Ceti "I only have a basic understanding of it thus far. I'm sure my time will come as I take my place as a, what do you call...?" Nien said with a small frown, forgetting himself and the word for a brief second. "Padawan learner...." He spoke with a smile.

"Are you a Jedi Knight?"

Zaiya's skin shimmered with a soft pink flush as she smiled and quickly clarified, "Oh, no, I'm not a Jedi Knight -- just a Padawan." Her bioluminescent patterns swirled in bashfulness, but there was a slight pink of pleasure in thinking that someone else had thought her to be mature enough to be a Knight.

"I actually haven't been with the Order for very long. Only a couple of years. Most Padawans have been training since they were younglings, so-o… I've got a lot of catching up to do."

She tucked a stray lock of colorful hair behind her ear, her cheeks still warm. "And it's not just Jedi stuff. I'm also taking classes at the University. I'm working toward a specialty in high technology -- cybernetics, specifically." Her tone brightened with enthusiasm, the light blue glow on her skin deepening to a cheerful gold. "It's kind of intense, but I love it. There's just so much to learn."

Domxite, perched beside her, radiated quiet encouragement, nodding along as if to agree with her words. Turning the conversation back to Nien, Zaiya leaned in slightly, curiosity sparking across her face and coloring her patterns with soft curious citrines. "What about you? Do you have any hobbies?"
