Headquarters: Based from an Ackbar Cruiser “Bright Star” based in Geosynchronous orbit around Lianna
Locations: Lianna (Rio Vivo District), Office on Roon, Resort on Makeb, Sabarene, Casino in Tion Trade Nexus and Gaming at every ATC facility
Operations: Casino and entertainment facilities, including gambling, fine dining, escort services, virtual gaming, combat simulations, as well as entertainment television and news and courier services
Rationale: During his time working as the CEO of Haor Chall Engineering, and the Foreman of the Techno Union for the Confederacy, Marek Starchaser procured a decent personal fortune. Along with minor deals made with his involvement in the Tion Hegemony, he was able to take over a small gambling firm from within the Confederacy. Seeing the state of the galaxy, and feeling the need for a little bit of vice and good natured frivolity, Marek Starchaser decided to find a way to allow the galaxy at large to wind down and enjoy themselves. Expanding the operations slowly but surely, Bright Star Entertainment Group is looking forward to expanding among the South Systems in a peaceful and exciting manner.
Truthfully, with the war going on, Marek Starchaser, not being a soldier, nor an engineer was looking for another way to expand himself into the galaxy. Finding little hideaways was always a skill of his when he was growing up, raised by Zeison Sha and mercenary parents, so going through the galaxy, and finding a niche market, somewhere that was relatively untouched by major players, and would not put him in competition with the companies who were actually run by engineers who knew a thing or two about droids and starships was his absolute goal. His hope was that he would be able to find a way to entertain and relax the galaxy, and if it came to it, run a few operations on the side, more for the thrill and less for the pay.
The primary focus would be, of course, to provide a distraction during the war time in the South Systems, and remind the galaxy at large just what was being fought for, what life was all about. Good times.

Description: Created from Marek Starchaser’s desire for a fun and profitable side project in comparison to his semi-failed mining company, and from the profits of Haor Chall Engineering, Marek moved to rescue a small entertainment company based within the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Moving the gambling segment of this company to several of Haor Chall Engineering Queen of the Space Lanes-class luxury liners, and headquartering it on the Black Star Ackbar cruiser outside of Lianna, the company also began to expand. This expansion opened up to a wide array of offerings, from gambling, to escort services, to virtual gaming, providing an independent entertainment outfit for a variety of young and up-coming artists and performers. Finally, the company does provide luxury and discreet courier services for a variety of clients.
Having taken Bright Star from its small roots of the gambling circuit, Marek sought to expand its scope in a way that could assist his goals, as well as the beings to whom he claims allegiance. As a survivor, Marek worked to expand the operations of this company using his connections and in order to secure its future through several avenues for capital. Credits are being put aside to purchase a larger home base for Bright Star within the Tion Cluster.
Always looking for a variety of storefronts, Bright Star is more than happy to find peaceful bazaars, trading stations, and planets where beings are looking to blow off steam, and spend a bit of money. Having a fleet of the Beright Star, a half dozen Queen of the Space Lane liners, and two major casino/office locations, one on Tatooine and a more formal set up on Lianna, the company is working to expand beyond borders of the warring states, and along trade lines, granting safe and fun havens for all beings of the galaxy.
Additionally, each set up that is run by Bright Star will have an office for Pulsar, which is merely a cover for the more seedy parts of the organization. Customers come to Pulsar expecting a pawn and trade shop, however, that is a front for the people who are looking to connect out of the public eye with couriers, mercenaries and escorts, all of this is behind closed doors and word of this avenue is kept only world of mouth and someone must have sent the client to Pulsar.
The goal of Bright Star is to expand off of planets and out of liners into dedicated stations, working with select businesses and corporations all around the galaxy to provide the best entertainment experience possible.
