- Variable Weapon Setting. Fully loaded, a Briletto PPK could fire 12 high power (lethal) rounds in addition to 12 stun bolts.
- Power. Despite being classified as a hold-out blaster, the PPK produced a blaster bolt that was on par for a full-sized blaster pistol.
- Magazine Capacity. The "12+12" design of the PPK demonstrated the weapon's design from non-combat use in normal police law enforcement actions.
- Effective Range. This is a blaster pistol, not a sniper rifle.
- Rate of Fire. Not an automatic or semi-automatic pistol. This weapon cycles one shot at a time, with a slight delay as the next blaster bolt is cycled into the firing chamber.
The Briletto PPK was a compact blaster pistol in use by law enforcement agencies across the Mid-Rim and Mara-Pearlemian Trade Corridor circa 851 ABY. The "12+12" power cell was loaded into the rear of the barrel. A toggle lever on the side of the weapon functioned as the safety against accidental firing, as well as adjusted the bolt produced to be either full-power (lethal) or a stun bolt. A fully charged magazine could produce 12 lethal shots and 12 stun bolts, for a total magazine capacity of 24 shots total. An indicator along the top of the barrel supplied a readout indicating ammunition capacity. Due to the small size of the pistol, the PPK was classified as a hold-out blaster even though its stopping power was on par with full-sized competitors. This made it popular with law enforcement, particularly plainclothes detectives and other police agents who wanted to carry their weapons discretely.
