The Crimson Path dropped out of hyperspace at the edge of the Lothal star system. The vessel did not travel along, and the small flotilla assigned to escort the flagship and Praxeum vessel of the High Sith Order joined it over the next hour. Once the full force had been assembled, it began to make its way towards the world of Lothal. It played no message, sent out no warnings. The formation of vessels approached the world in silence, broken only when the transport craft began to stream from their holds. It was not the first time in recent years that Lothal had experienced the horrors of a planetary invasion. The people were ready.

Lothal, like many worlds in the eastern fringes, experienced the dark horrors of the Bryn'adul invasion. Only recently had some refugees begun to make their way back home, under the supposed protection and guidance of a Enclave of Jedi. Natives of Lothal themselves, the Enclave of Amis worked hard to rebuild their homeworld. For their efforts, they were to be the first target of the High Sith Empire war machine. Transports filled with a mixture of Dar'ashra warriors and other elements of the still growing High Sith Empire military shot towards the world below, eager to bring the will of their leaders to bear against the Jedi and their charges on the surface.

Megarea herself had decided to join the landing force, and she idly checked her saberstaff one last time as the dropship shook around her on its final approach. Around her, Dar'ashra warriors stood in stony silence, their faces hidden behind full helmets with an upside down triangle visor. Their crimson armor gleamed in the flickering lights of the dropship, standing in stark contrast to the purple and blue robes that Megarea wore.

The target of the assault was a fortified settlement located near the equator of the world. Here, the Jedi Enclave had established defenses, and proper housing and food stores for the growing resettlement population. Having learned their lesson from the Bryn'adul, the settlement was fortified and shielded, preventing outright obliteration. A sustained orbital bombardment would have solved the problem in time, but Megarea was not one to pass up a chance to test herself, or her followers. In attacking the Enclave, the High Sith Empire's military, up until that point a jumbled mess of various fragments forced together, would be tested in the fires of battles. From this test, Megarea would learn what was so far working, and what would still need to be altered.

After several minutes of rocky descent, the dropship suddenly slammed into the ground. Moments later, the Dar'ashra warriors within, and Megarea, rushed down the ramp, blaster bolts rushing past them. Ahead, Megarea could see the settlements walls, with a militia force drummed up by the Jedi Enclave manning the walls. She could see a few of the Jedi defenders themselves, their distinct robes and commanding posture easily discernable from the distance. Intent to allow things to play out, Megarea allowed her forces to move past her. She would let them lead the initial foray.

Equipment: Red Lightsaber, Advanced Droid Shock Arm (Left Arm Replacement), V-82 Droid Tractor Arm (Right Arm Replacement), x2 CZ-22 Wrist Repulsors (One below each forearm, each concealed). Soto's Armor. Soto's Body.

Soto stood not too far from Darth Megarea. This was the woman he placed his bet on. The person who would make a fine Sith Empress, and unite them all against the jedi. This attack would only be the beginning. It was but a simple taste of what their full power would look like, and Soto would be there for every step of the way. He too planned on fighting in the vanguard, hopefully by their leader's side. There was a large part of him that wanted more responsibility within the order, and he knew he needed to earn that honor.

Power would be a long road for the droid sith. He needed to accomplish many things: Take an apprentice, gain the title of darth, and potentially found his own academy in time. The fall of the Jedi was a more long-term goal. Of course, today was an excellent one to distinguish himself on. If he could slay a few jedi in the presence of Megarea, then perhaps some of his dreams could start coming true.

As usual, the droid was disguised as a tognath, but emitted no signature in the force. He often claimed it was an ability he had picked up on, being thousands of years old. In reality, he had no signature in the force because he was a droid. Something no one had realized as of yet. Along with the pair of sith was their growing force of Dar'ashra warriors, fighters who came with the territory of running an empire. The Jedi stood little chance against such a large number of attackers, unless they had reinforcements of course.

The droid with would grip his lightsaber with his right hand, anxious for the fighting to begin. Before long, he would get his wish. The dropship would soon land, and it's ramp would open to enemy blaster fire. The Jedi were cowards, sending militiamen with blasters... "For the High Sith! Kill them all!" The droid would shout.

Rushing into battle, Soto would use his integrated-jump boots to mimic the powers of a force jump. The disguised tognath would preform a 920 degree spinning jump through the air. He would then land in front of a soldier, before slashing the man's chest open with his lightsaber. "AH, hahaha!" He would laugh maniacally.

"I've got a bad feeling about this."

The jump through hyperspace had been incredibly uneventful. Asides from some meditation and food, Kahlil hadn't done much. A communication from Lothal had asked for help. Something minor, by all accounts. A local spotted what they thought was a Sith, and so the Jedi came to investigate. Kahlil specifically came to investigate. Lothal had known it's fair share of war, but the threats throughout the galaxy had mostly been from the Maw.

Another emergence of the Sith would be too chaotic for the current powers to deal with.

Yet as they dropped from hyperspace the Jedi Master could already feel something was wrong. He moved from the couch within the living area of The Bastion, heading towards the holocom device. Trying to reach out to get some kind of information from the local Jedi temple. Nothing. No answer. His eyes narrowed.

"R6, get a scan of the planet and have us head for the temple. Silas, get your lightsaber." Kahlil called over his own, simply extending his hand as he hurried to the cockpit. "If you find something, bring up communication to any Jedi in the area. We might have quite a lot of trouble."

Silas yawned lightly and took another sip of his freshly brewed caf on the table, something that was being held in one of many "Best dad in the galaxy" mugs Vera and Valery Noble Valery Noble got him. He had just woken up after doing some light endurance training and meditating with his Master Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble who was currently at the holocom device trying to gain communication with the Jedi who are at the Jedi Temple of Lothal.

They had received word that a local from the planet had reported sightings of Sith on the surface, the fact their fellow Jedi were not replying only increased that concern of their appearance further. Also starting to feel something was wrong, Silas took one last sip of the drink before jumping out of the chair and jogging towards his temporary room. Kahlil was right in making him get his lightsaber in preparation. If the Sith had truly attacked they'd need to be ready for the inevitable

"Still nothing Master?" he asked curiously as he returned, nonchalantly stretching off his arms to loosen himself up "The sightings of sith and comm silence can't be no coincidence. We must expect hostility when we arrive"

The transport rumbled and shook as it careened through Lothal’s burning outer layers. The persistent creaking of its frame was akin to the roar of a repulsor engine to Irinixia’s hypersensitive ears. It would have been an ominous, terrifying sensation for her, if not for the presence of the Empress. In that way, she was a rock for the diminutive Cadet, a tangible reminder of their cause and the figure Irinixia had sworn her life to in committing herself to the Dar’ashra. Moreover, she was a reminder of Irinixia’s dreams to rejoin the ranks of the High Sith Order and to purge the stain of failure that lingered over her like a miasma.

It wouldn’t happen today, the next month, the next year, or perhaps even within the decade, but one day, she would prove herself worthy of joining their vaunted ranks.

The transport’s impact pulled Irinixia out of her prayers and contemplations, compelling the Cadet to ready herself for combat as she activated her energy shield and pulled her disruptor from its place on her left thigh. Then, as the ramp fell open, she rushed out of the ship after her brothers and sisters, moving to engage the militia troops set against them, a force of light-blinded minions bound to the Jedi.

The disruptor in her hands gave a sudden report as she squeezed the trigger upon honing in on the chest of an enemy, the unstable bolt vaporizing the soldier’s entire upper half in a burst of nonharmonic energy, leaving only a pair of legs behind as evidence of the being’s prior existence. Two more soldiers met similar fates, dispatched when Irinixia sprinted up to them just as their blaster cannon overheated, her Farsight allowing her to anticipate the exact moment when it would be safe to approach. They were cut down with ruthless precision, their screams suddenly falling silent as the nonharmonic energy pulses ripped their bodies asunder, until there was nought but ashes and a few errant limbs left.

At the same time, the Elzeri’s Farsight warned her that this was not the true test.

Before the dropships even touch the ground, I'm already psyched for fight -- so much hatred and rage bottled up inside -- I'm not one for all the speeches and the politics; the battlefield is MY domain. THIS is what I know.

And I see the enemy before me.

He would then land in front of a soldier, before slashing the man's chest open with his lightsaber. "AH, hahaha!" He would laugh maniacally.

The first wave moves into attack formation behind one of the higher ranking Sith Lords, who merclilessly cuts down one of the enemy troopers. A fearsome visage for sure. Only the more seasoned among them would be unfazed by such a gruesome sight.

"Pathetic insects." -- I don't realize I'm talking to myself as I casually walk to where I need to be, in stark contrast to Sith warriors in active combat or laser wielding soldiers shooting and/or dodging ** deflects blaster bolt with a simple twirl of my saber, shoots it right back at the guy **

Now I'm just stalling...toying with them. Terror is such a wonderful weapon. ** yanks the blaster rifles right out of the hands of the resisting enemy soldiers ** -- They scramble for their backup sidearms or blades as Sith apprentices and knights mow them down like Forestry-droids cutting down trees or troopers of our own simply shoot them dead where they stand.

The first Jedi Master among them engages me, charging with inhuman celerity -- now he's a worthy target!

His blades narrowly miss as I also reciprocate a near miss of my own...such is the result of evenly matched warriors feeling out the other for the first time. I do sense his fear, though he's keeping himself tightly composed and guarded. I'm not one to taunt my enemy...we circle and stare one another down, taking up stances once more. ** extends the second blade of my dual saber to match my opponent **

He's an aggressive one, oh those Jedi blade masters. A very good one. We begin our deadly dance, a mortal game of tag with the ultimate stakes. Both of us are silent, only our sabers do the talking. In the end, however, it's a blast of Force lightning that tips the scales in my favor.

pklZkow.png

** cuts the defenseless master down with no mercy whatsoever **

Seeing one of their precious Masters fall by my hand so quickly is enough to make the enemy in my vicinity scatter, routing them and creating a hole in their defense...

** charges after them in a tornado of whirling saber blades, unleashes my full hatred and rage on them all... **
