STRENGTHS

• Modular Systems: When activated, a secondary firing crucible and compression chamber activate and unbalances the Brute, so remaining stationary while firing is recommended. When used, the Brute fires at twice the normal rate of fire, expanding twice the ammunition and superheating the muzzle.
• Storm of Bolts: The Brute can fire a large number of bolts in rapid succession, perfect for laying down suppressive fire or cutting through large swaths of soldiers in a short amount of time.
• Large Magazine: The Brute can fire a large number of particle bolts without reloading, allowing the user to go for extended periods of fighting without needing to replenish his munitions.

WEAKNESSES

• Rapid Overheating: The longer one consecutively uses the Brute, the quicker it's internal systems will overpower the safety heat sinks and render the weapon temporary inoperable.
• Inaccurate at Long-Range: Because of the dispersive nature of blaster bolts at long-range, the Brute is way more effective at closer ranges. While liable to hit something at far distances, it's nowhere near accurate at that range.
• Very Heavy: It's big, it's bad, and it weighs quite a lot. This is definitely a weapon reserved for stronger and specialized soldiers, something to supplement the ordinary foot soldier rather than serve as the standard issue.

DESCRIPTION

In an age of massive armies and massed charges, the Sith Empire finds a way to make the art of mass murder and death as efficient as possible. Blaster rifles and shotguns have been the mainstay of the Imperial Legion since its inception, but as the rebel threat increases at the Empire's frontiers, a new system of death had to be developed to counter it.​

Enter the Brute Rotary Blaster Cannon, a machine of industrialized destruction capable of churning out five thousand blaster bolts in a single setting. Six interlocked barrels rotate at a high speed while pressurized gas is transported into the firing chamber and launched as a continuous stream of individual bolts at any given target until the trigger is no longer pressed. ​

Because of the heaviness and large nature of the weapon, it was reserved for specialized soldiers that supplement the traditional Legionnaire rather than being dolled out to every Legionnaire in the military.​
